It was seamless and "almost" right on the projected time frames. Through the process they kept me up to date and were available for a few questions I had along the way. The installation crew came out and they were EVEN better than the customer service and sales rep. Eduardo Naranjo needs a promotion and a raise. The man was so humble, genuine and all around a great guy. He dealt with my kids and many dogs with no fear lol. He was professional and kept me apprised of everything the crew was doing. At then end of the installation I was sad to see the man and his team go because they were so personable and efficient. The install of my panels and batteries looks way way better than I could have imagined. I already had existing solar that I liked. But this new system blows it out the water. Anyway. He went to college for this, believe he grew up off grid on Maui and you can tell right away he's knowledgeable and a straight shooter. Not to mention he had the best pricing and deal out of every other company! Gabe made us feel comfortable with our decision, gave us all the information we wanted, and actually drove out to our house multiple times to chat when we had additional questions and concerns. Is Aloha a smaller company, yes, but will Gabe answer your call when needed, yes! Fast forward install happened within a couple weeks of signing the deal. Minas was the head installer it seemed (all people are internal employees with Aloha and work is NOT contracted out, that was a big seller for us), and two other guys Rigo and Matt. All were super nice and very professional. Minas walked me through everything at the end, and major bonus points once he installed the piping going from battery to roof, he asked if I had paint that matched the exterior of my house. I did, and he then painted all of the piping! I know he did not have to do that, so that was a fantastic touch. After months of follow-ups, delays, and waiting for management to finalize the paperwork, I was suddenly informed that the company had implemented a "new process" requiring a non-refundable $1,000 payment before they would process the application, engineering review, or other preliminary work.

When the real issue was the capacitor! Which is only maybe 50 bucks at any hardware store. He tried to keep me away from the only true issue. He offered to reimburse me for this experience and I respect that. He looked into the issue and he took accountability and that's not common. So I really appreciate how this situation was handled. I will still warn everyone to always get a second opinion and be careful out there. I will be giving them another chance as long as this situation never happens again.

It's also for those that desire a review/reflection well after install and activation. My project included: 18 panels, new power panel, new roof (they oversaw and managed it all). My system was operational January 2024. There's a ton of positive to say about Solar Symphony and Billy Pierce (rep I worked with). Here's some highlights that mattered to me: - Billy Pierce is truly a genuine great person and equally an attentive, hard working, meticulous professional. Ask for him if you decide to go with Solar Symphony. You won't regret it. - The cost was very reasonable. They were not the lowest cost, not the highest cost, but instead were very fair and competitive and there was no crap cost or or other unexpected surprise cost, and no goofy excuses for not meeting estimates or expectations throughout the project. If something extra needed to be done it was very clear and made perfect logical sense. - Solar Symphony oversaw all permits, applications, interactions with SDGE, and all scheduling for everything: inspections, installs, meetings, system design; the whole gamut, and provided excellent regular updates from Billy and more so the project manager overseeing the project. - Very Important: When something seemed off, or quality issue, or timing, or any irritation occurred, which is reasonably normal for all projects, especially the size of mine, Solar Symphony was all over it and very happy to step right in to bring order, correction, or reasonable accommodation to the situation. Billy was sooo good for this. One example was with the roofing company they work with/recommended not cleaning up scrap metal and nails as well as I would have desired. Billy put in a call and the roofing folks were out there to make correction. By the way, the roofing company was really excellent too; I went with Protecta Roofing. - I paid one company, which was so nice; Solar Symphony was only company I paid, as they coordinated and handled billing/invoicing for their work, roofing, electrical panel upgrade...all of it. Again, so, so nice! I like to keep it simple and work with one company if possible. - Solar Symphony ensured I was clear on and able to easily identify my available tax credits, which was huge. - Post system activation: awesome follow-up from Billy and team to ensure expectations were met, or exceeded in many cases, and that I understood how to activate and monitor via the Enphase phone app, which is easy and convenient. The system has been meeting power production expectations and humming along just as described from the pre-sale discussions. So nice to be on perfectly working solar! I hope this is helpful, as I could truly go on about the great service and system performance but I need to go eat dinner...lol. The whole process went smoothly, Kevin was very friendly and easy to work with; he provided the most information on what type of windows to get for our situation. He was very responsive and answered any questions we had. They also had very reasonable prices and detailed quotes. My husband told me on the day of installation, they were punctual, efficient and completed the window replacements on time. We got Simonton laminated double paned windows, and although they haven't blocked out as much sound as I hoped, they actually help a good deal with lowering hot temperatures in that room in the summer. It's been about a year and the windows still look great and work well (they're also much easier to slide open than our old windows). I would definitely recommend them!

As soon as they were done, I barely had a chance to finish my question and he abruptly said "Hang on, I have another customer on the line that I need to finish an order for." AT this point, I'm like wtf is this place so I walked out. Never I have ever experience such crap customer service. These 2 clowns weren't busy and could have spared me 1 min of their time to simply answer if they carried a product. I ended up ordering the part from Amazon and had it sent same day. Honestly, this is why retail and stores are dying because of this BS. Don't come to this lame as place for your toilet needs. You'll have a better experience at Amazon. Bunch of Bums.

There should be no stars available to describe the service of this company!!! I am at my wits end with them! It's absolutely ridiculous !!! We bought.. bought not leased our system from them! They installed it and life went on- I was actually happy they installed it in 2018 and I wrote a review then! Since then, an inverter has been replaced, optimizers have gone out and have been replaced; however, when they say they're coming to replace it, they just show up!!! or call and say were in the neighborhood and can stop by... no appointment!! Who runs a business without making appointments for service that 'we' have to pay them for to do the work! On January 19th Sepehr Nozari tells us they'll be to us in 2-3 weeks!!! What was I suppose to do? I calmly said ok... 45 days later plus...on March 5th a guy calls us out the blue saying he can come by in 20 minutes! We're headed to a doctors appointment... appointment.. see how that word works.. and could not turn around to meet him at our home...He offered to come by on Saturday and if we weren't home to leave the box outside for him to do the work- Great! We leave the box outside. Saturday comes...and goes! On Monday March 11th, while I'm taking out the trash, I see the box is still sitting outside where he asked us to leave it. I email Sepehr Nozari with photos of the box and our system at a 0 and he says his tech said he came out and waited for 2 hours and no one showed up. This makes no sense, if you are so busy that you are 2-3 weeks out, how is it that your tech can sit and do nothing for 2 hours? That is simply just not true. His tech never showed up and if he did and couldn't find the box he could've called because he called us when he was 20 minutes away. He is the one who suggested leaving the box outside, the whole point of leaving the box is to take care of it- get it done. Not to mention Sepehr told us he wasn't sure why he made that appointment for Saturday because he was not authorized to go back. As of today Sepehr said we would have to wait another 2-3 weeks and they can come if someone cancels therefore last minute appointments is all they can do. "I edited my review to remove two sentences that I quoted from an email he sent because he started threatening me with legal action, saying he wants to sue me for copyright infringement. I merely stated the fact of what he wrote to me. That said, I am not a copyright attorney. I don't need that additional hassle, I just want a working system. read more

Before signing with Mr Nozari and GC Electric-Solar for my solar system, I interviewed and received bids from several well know solar system providers in the San Diego area. I was amazed by the wide range of prices quoted. Solar panels are essentially a commodity, so what really matters is your level of confidence in the company that installs your system. When I met "Sep", it was on the strong recommendation of a friend who had recently had his solar system installed by GC Electric. My friend was very pleased and invited me to inspect his system. I was very impressed with the lengths Sep and his crew went to making sure the installation was well done and left the yard and home looking like they had never been there. Sep came to my home and took the time to help determine my needs, not to sell me more than I needed. He was very creative in finding a way to install my system where it would not impact my view and was willing to run more than 300 feet of conduit to make it possible. What seemed like a big deal for some other providers, was taken in stride by Sep and his hard working crew. Throughout the process, Sep and the crew strived to be sure we were pleased with their work. I was kept informed on a regular basis, and my many questions were always answered clearly and patiently. I now have a very solid ground mount system and enjoying watching my electric meter run backwards during the day! If you are considering solar, I strongly recommend that you call GC Electric and ask Sepehr Nozari for a bid. I am sure you will be very pleased with his responsiveness, attention to detail, and price. Update: We have now had our solar system for about 2 years and are so very pleased we installed the system and had GC Electric-Solar to work with. That's an odd accusation, but thank you for making my point. It's a bold move for a guy who has already threatened me with a frivolous libel lawsuit to publish something that is so easily falsifiable--and attempt to dox me while he's at it, but that's who this kid is. Not that I need to defend myself, but I've never withheld payment (or anything close to it) from this shop. Quite the contrary--I paid this guy a full $1,000 in excess of our contract. Prior to my system even being operational. Check the receipts and the dates. He issued me the attached hand-written refund following my complete payment, and subsequently cancelled the check when I complained about his company's repeated unprofessional conduct As an aside, I really enjoy swearing, and it's deeply embedded in my vernacular, but I've never once used 'foul language' in an exchange with anyone at this company. If you choose to do business with this operation, I recommend communicating exclusively via writing and keeping your receipts. Finally, I never threatened him with any sort of lawsuit. He told me our exchange was concluded, and that if I have any remaining issues I should raise them with CSLB. I promised to do so. Sepher, if you'd like to be honest, then just waive the copyright claim on our email exchanges and I will gladly post the entire thread. I had 3 at home quotes and 9 EnergySage quotes, G C Electric Solar quoted me thousands less than all the quotes offered. First off, I have a lot of building and low voltage experience, but no solar background.So as I do with everything, I did my homework and research. My investigating took me to believe that G C electric Solar could easily handle my solar expectations and the job, and I was right! I'm not super super picky, but I want the job done right, and if there are problems, they should be addressed and taken care of in a prompt fashion, and least that's what I believe. Here's where G C Electric solar really shined! I had some complaints and some issues, then G C Electric Solar verbally addressed those issues and took prompt action to correct them and made sure I was happy with the install. That made a huge difference! Sepehr, Rafael, Tandy, Josh, Christian and Brandon, thank you very for your return trips and making sure I was satisfied and a happy customer. My system is working and making more power than I expected, solar panels are even, and level, and it looks clean! I've had the pleasure of working with GC Electric Solar on two separate projects, and both experiences were outstanding. I initially found them through EnergySage, where they came through with the best bid for our needs. From the very beginning, they stood out with their competitive pricing, clear communication, and professionalism. The first time, we installed solar soon after buying our home. Two years later, we decided to expand the system, which required an electrical panel upgrade. GC Electric Solar handled everything seamlessly, from the solar expansion to the panel upgrade. We looking into our options for solar and had three companies come to our home to provide us with not only an estimate but their industry knowledge on the market and best options for our energy needs. Sepehr Nozari, the CEO of GC Electric Solar, represented his company for their estimate. While the other two companies provided similar, basic industry information on solar panels and purchasing information (one essentially just said "so what would you like to know"), Sepehr came prepared. He had information about his company, the industry, market trends, usage options, purchase/lease options, tax credit information, etc. He was very knowledgeable and dedicated to being able to answer any and all possible questions. From there, he worked closely with us identify the amount of kWh production we would need for 100% energy coverage, number of panels to do this, installation timing, and loan facilitation to purchase our panels. We've had our panels for over two months now and our solar production is 12% more than what was estimated with all systems running smoothly, accessible to monitor by app, as well as followed closely the GC Electric if any issues. GC was the third solar company I contacted. When Sep gave me a quote, I looked no further. His quote was $10K less than the first quote I had received and about $4K less than the second, with all providing about the same wattage. After inspecting the area I wanted to place the panels, he told me there would be no problem even though it would be a little more difficult because of placing a frame in the ground and trenching about 200 feet to my house. His crew was top notch. They worked hard and long but kept a positive, jovial attitude. They looked out for my best interest and even though I authorized them to cut some concrete to place conduit, they chose not to so as to retain the appearance of the walkway. As a result, they worked about four more days. They kept me abreast of everything that was going on. They cleaned the work area every day before leaving. I have nothing but the highest regard for this company and will recommend them to anyone who is considering solar panels. (I have read reviews on different companies where the customer has been waiting for weeks t to get their system activated. I had the final inspection on a Friday and SDG&E authorized the activation the following Monday.) read more

I found G C Electric-Solar on a respected web site, energysage.org. After reviewing numerous detailed quotes, I contacted G C Electric-Solar and had Sepehr Nozair, of the company, over to see what I needed in the way of solar. I am very well versed on solar and basically know what I wanted. Sepehr is by far the most knowledgeable person I've met when talking to previous solar sales people. He looked at my situation, I told him what I expected an he put together a great and powerful system for a great price. My system will pay for it's self (it's break even price) in 3.3 years. Then for the 21.7 years I'm getting free electricity . For me that means $80,000 I won't spending on electricity. Even if you financed it, your payback time would be under 5 years. Anyway I said yes to G C Electric-Solar and they installed my 7.8kW in less than 6 hours. Now after 2 months I can say their system is just what Sepehr said and more. Two and a half years ago this system would have been $35,000 and I paid (after my Fed. tax credit) $14,000. I am so pleased and my system has a 25 year warranty from Panasonic. read more

While Sepher at GC Electric was diligently answering all our questions we were also getting quotes from another 3 vendors. GC Electric was from the beginning the best quote, when asked to accommodate changes in the quote he was not only fast, but it seemed like it kept getting better. He was always frank about the benefits or lack of benefit of of our choices or requests. Once our loan was approved the system was installed and producing in 2 1/2 weeks! That included waiting for permits, inspection and an unfortunate sick day. They were through, Sepher came to do the final step of turning it on, checking the installation and even went around to make sure his crew had left the all areas all as clean as they found them, which was the case. System is super easy to monitor, panels by my own research are of the highest quality, but best is I can't even see them from the road! All and all, even though it seemed strange to me that we did all of our communication via email and short phone calls, the process was smooth, and we are enjoying the money and green benefits of going solar! read more

I was very impressed with G C Electric overall. From initial overview and planning meetings, to engineering and installation drawing reviews, permitting, installation, operation, and follow-up, Sep and his team were first class. The quality of the products (panels / inverters} are considered best in class and the installation and customer service was first rate. With 14 panels operating through the summer months, I have been generating close to 1 Mega Watt per month, easily covering my electric bill despite running my AC very liberally. During the cooler months not requiring AC, I easily run a big surplus of energy to add big credits to my electric bill. It's a nice change not worrying about my electric bill when running my AC. I also used Solar Sage as a 3rd party evaluator, and they gave G C Electric highest marks for product quality, cost, and customer service against 5 other solar companies that competed for this job. Sepehr, the owner, was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole experience. His company provided a very competitive estimate when we were soliciting bids and that combined with the extensive knowledge and customer focus that Sepehr demonstrated when he first met with us for the bid ultimately convinced us to go with his company. He handled all the permitting and the back and forth with our HOA to get the project approved and was in constant communication with us. At any given time, I always knew the status of the project and what the next milestones were. His team of solar installers that did all the digging (we had a ground mount system), hauling and construction were punctual and polite. The total project time from contract signing to completion was about 6 weeks, 4 spent waiting for permits and approvals, the final 2 or so doing the installation. Longer than I would have liked, but as fast as it could have reasonably gone. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again or recommend them to anyone looking to go solar. read more

G C Electric Solar did an excellent job on my solar project in Escondido! They installed 26 panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3, and the entire system was up in just one day. The crew worked quickly, kept everything clean, and made sure the install looked great. There was a little hiccup with communication between their team and the city inspector, but they stayed on it, resolved the issue, and got everything approved. Once we received PTO from Edison, they personally walked me through the Tesla app, showed me how to set everything up, and explained how to power on and manage the system. That extra time and attention gave me a lot of confidence in using the system day to day. Their pricing was competitive also. I had several bids and they offered the most equipment for the lowest price. Now I've got a powerful solar setup with backup, and the whole experience proved G C Electric Solar really cares about their customers. Decided to solarize when moving back to San Diego. Visited a referral site and was provided with estimates by three companies. We liked the wattage and cost best from GC. Met with them and finally signed the deal. Biggest hassle was finally understading what our HOA wanted. It did not help that our move was in transition. Finally all the paperwork was completed. GC worked with us on the payment arrangement to everyone's satifaction. We paid in full. They came, they installed and waited for city inspection. There were no major problems and SDGE gave us the green light to join the grid. We have been generating since mid-May. Wow - lotsa juice!! A caution - DO NOT undersize your wattage. Be realistic in your needs - panels are not cheap but better to pay upfront and not regret your lack of generating capacity. We still use power from SDGE but the bills have never been this low in summertime. read more

I did my research for our solar (my background is in SW and Electrical) and submitted the specification of our solar project 7.2 kW in Energy Sage website and received quotes from several solar installation companies. After meeting with project manager from other companies including G C Electric Solar, we selected G C Electric Solar for our solar project. The solar project went so smoothly from start to finish. Sepehr, the young owner, is very professional and knowledgeable; he understands our needs and provides all answers with honest communication. I helped my elderly father work with GC Electric to install solar at his house. We got several quotes from EnergySage and GCE was quite reasonable (though not the cheapest), they had very good ratings, and communication was good so went with them. All installers were backlogged but Sepehr at GCE said they could probably get the system approved before the NEM 2.0 April 2023 deadline though actual installation would be way out in 2024. The install was a few weeks ago and got PTO last week. We got in NEM 2.0, the work went smoothly and the install was clean. The system is working well, the 12 Panasonic panels and Enphase IQ8+'s are hitting max ratings on sunny days (in March!), and Enphase's per panel/inverter monitoring is great. I've been considering Solar since 2010. I met Sep in 2012 and he was able to beat all the prices I heard before by at least 30% plus a referral program and CA rebate (he did all the leg work for that) that basically allowed me to get my system for half of the best price I heard before meeting him. They have a good customer service & warranty that took care of a minor issue I had a couple of years later. That experience made me contact them a few months ago without hesitation to further expand my system. They went the extra mile to to make the old and new panels blend perfectly together. Furthermore, they accurately matched the colors of the conduits to my stucco and roof tiles. Sep also added the new panels seamlessly to my old monitoring system. A superlative experience. GC Electric installed 13 panels and a battery at our residence in late 2017 - small system that required careful engineering for economics to work. Analysis and communication during evaluation, construction, and startup were outstanding. They were selected after screening seven proposals and detailed discussion with four contractors. The architecture of our tile roof limited our options. GC Electric provided a comprehensive analysis and coordinated roofing contractor necessary to complete installation. Their assistance with selection of a battery, as well as securing the SGIP rebate, was critical to economic success of our project. Exceptional service on all elements of our project. I've had my G C Electric 6.5kw system for one year now. It has worked flawlessly, outperforming G C Electric's estimates. The installation was excellent, on time with activation completed ahead of plan. All questions answered promptly, all permits, paperwork and forms filled out by G C Electric. The process was simple, quick and efficient. Sepehr is one of the most knowledgeable solar engineers that you'll find. He explained the recommended system, the different options, the installation options and the pros and cons of each. A quality system at a very reasonable price - I saved several thousand dollars over other bids (and I had many). Couldn't be happier with my system. My true-up bill for the first year with SDGE was a CREDIT of $214! And, yes, I ran my A/C all summer! read more

I was a little skeptical at first because I had never heard of this company before. They are not one of the first names that show up in a google search, or a name I had heard on the radio, however I am very happy I decided to go with them. I did a lot of shopping around and they offered one of the best price/watt values using some of the highest quality products. Much better value than most of the big names. They didn't play funny games with production estimate to make you think you were getting more than you actually were. They finished the project on time despite rain and some last minute changes I requested. The workmanship was great and I am producing lots of energy even though we are coming up on the start of winter. These guys delivered on their promises. read more

Almost 2 years ago I called them to come take a look at a potential leak from the install. William acknowledged my request and said someone would help. I followed up 3-4 times and no one ever came out. I've now had an error come up in another system and called him to check it out. Once again he said he would address it and it's been almost a month of my system not working and still nothing. Unfortunately, if you hope to have good service and support, do not work with William and Zenith. I very rarely write bad reviews, but I've given them every opportunity to act responsibly and it's just not happening. Skip this company move on to another. If you had them install, good luck to you!
