Juan handled the skylight and related roof and flashing repairs, and I can't say enough about the quality of his work. Adding on after Sunline Energy's response: I did not mention the following yet it is important to do so, in 2024 3 roofing companies told me that the roof was past due on repair, I had mentioned what happened with Sunline Energy in 2023 and was told that your company as well as others install on roofs that are not healthy enough and even with replacement of shingles the plywood was not thick enough to support solar panels, in other words, Sunline never mentioned something that was felt just by walking on the roof, ethics should be as important as obtaining a sale because people work hard to keep there home maintained, honesty is the best policy, I understand that the company must achieve sales but situations as so are very disturbing, Sunline Energy continues to owe us $1,000 due to a deposit for a job that never took place.

I'm extremely disappointed with Stellar Solar and the lack of support I've received regarding the warranty on my solar system. Stellar Solar installed my system, including approximately 50 SunPower/Maxeon panels, in 2019. As the professional installer, I reasonably expected them to make sure the system and equipment were properly registered for the manufacturer's warranty--or, at the very least, clearly notify me that I was personally required to complete a separate registration within a specific time period. That apparently did not happen. The system was not registered in advance by Stellar Solar, and I was not adequately informed or assisted with completing the registration. Years later, when I actually need warranty coverage, I'm being told there is a registration problem and I am now having to fight to get the panels covered. This is incredibly frustrating. Customers spend tens of thousands of dollars on solar systems in part because of the long-term equipment warranties. An installer should have procedures in place to ensure its customers don't unknowingly lose warranty protection because of an administrative registration requirement. What has been most disappointing is the lack of meaningful assistance from Stellar Solar in resolving a problem involving a system they sold and installed. I shouldn't be left fighting this battle on my own years later. If you're considering Stellar Solar, I strongly recommend getting written confirmation that every component of your system has been properly registered with the manufacturer and obtaining copies of those registrations before considering the installation complete. Until Stellar Solar steps up and helps resolve this warranty issue, I cannot recommend them.

Just recently, the condenser fan fell off and broke leaving the AC out of order on our STR in the middle of August. First of all, the phone number gets you to an AI attendant, which is fine, but then no one calls you back. It took at least 4 calls and finally me booking a service call on their website to get a call back. Short story is that they couldn't get the parts (2.5 yr old unit), had me scheduled in two weeks to fix it, but would not call me to confirm parts arrival. Literally a dozen calls, no call back. I would avoid them if you can, until they figure out how to call a customer back. Oh, and they sold me an AC system that was not coastal rated right on the coast (therefore, no warranty coverage).

Through our bidding process, RC Energy came out the lowest and Justin was cordial and honest about the entire process and costs upfront. Our work included: full re-roof (tear-off, new underlayment, new concrete tiles, wood repair, full fascia board replacement & painting, 18 PV solar panel array + electrical/RMA, new sliding glass door, three kitchen windows and two new solar-powered skylights in our living room. There was a big chunk of extra cost for roof wood repairs we knew was coming (dry rot and previous termite damage to sheathing & rafter tails) but the costs were understandable given the hours of extra labor, and the quality of carpentry work spearheaded by Ivan was exceptional.
