I needed to repair my skylight after noticing moisture on an area of the wood below it. My skylight had been installed incorrectly by another company, which was contributing to the moisture issue. Since skylight repairs can be a relatively small job, I found that not many reputable companies were interested in doing this type of work. I was very happy to find Sunline Energy. Juan handled the skylight and related roof and flashing repairs, and I can't say enough about the quality of his work. He is a perfectionist and took the time to make sure everything was done correctly. He went above and beyond and fixed both the skylight and surrounding roof area beyond my expectations. Adding on after Sunline Energy's response: I did not mention the following yet it is important to do so, in 2024 3 roofing companies told me that the roof was past due on repair, I had mentioned what happened with Sunline Energy in 2023 and was told that your company as well as others install on roofs that are not healthy enough and even with replacement of shingles the plywood was not thick enough to support solar panels, in other words, Sunline never mentioned something that was felt just by walking on the roof, ethics should be as important as obtaining a sale because people work hard to keep there home maintained, honesty is the best policy, I understand that the company must achieve sales but situations as so are very disturbing, Sunline Energy continues to owe us $1,000 due to a deposit for a job that never took place.

We hired Kintter to help us w/roofing needs for an addition. Our contractor has worked w/them for…read moreyears and recommended them higly to us. We now know why - they are a top-notch, well run family business, and really know how to take care of a customer. Five stars easily. Their work included several areas: 1) Roofing the new addition; 2) Removing/replacing tiles in the areas where the new addtion roof would tie in to the existing roof; 3) Fixing numerous issues w/tile around our solar panels on our roof - issues courtesy of Tesla Solar personnel who clearly had zero training in the tile work required for messing w/people's roofs; and 4) Fixing some of our roof valleys that were getting congested w/leaves and pine needles from our trees. They provided a clear and complete estimate, and their pricing was just under the other roofing companies we talked to. Based on my brother's recommendation and their estimate we decided to move forward w/Knitter. Throughout the project they operated in a professional and friendly manner. They showed up on time, did excellent work, coordinated their work w/other activities on the project, and their crew was conscientous and personable. One of the challenging issues was that the tile we have is a particularly "rare" tile design and finding something that matched with it wasn't easy. Mike Knitter and Javier went out of their way to get us additional samples and options, and we ended up getting an excellent match that blended well w/our original tiles. They also helped us by placing the newer tiles in an areas of the roof that were less visible from the common areas of the back yard. We also had two solatubes installed. Knitter's team discovered issues w/the way in which the Solatubes had been integrated w/the roof tiles that could have caused problems, and adjusted the installation. Knitter also provided information and pictures of the errors and broken tiles that the Tesla Solar installers had left behind in their work, and corrected those issues as a part of their work. I appreciated how the pricing was a very straight-forward flat rate for each window, which includes interior / exterior / screen cleaning. We had 60+ windows cleaned which was a very long job for only 2 crew members, but they were professional, courteous and stayed until the wee hours to get it done and done right. They managed to reach some very difficult windows and glass panels, and quickly addressed any issues that were noticed during our walk through. We would use them again!

How much does cleaning solar panels improve their output?…read more I had my solar panels cleaned recently by @sudandsqueegie. I had them cleaned only a few months earlier by another company, but I recleaned them because two panels were producing lower output and looked obviously dirty. The other panels did not look like they needed cleaning. I was surprised to see that the cleaning improved the output of all the panels from an average of about 340 Wh per panel to about 540 Wh, an increase of about 58%! The first picture is a drone shot of the panels, showing the two panels that were obviously dirty. The first panel picture shows the output of all panels before cleaning, and the second panel picture shows the output after cleaning. The panel output measurements were taken within 1 hour of each other at around 1 pm. It was a partially overcast day, so the output is usually much greater. However, it shows the amount of improvement possible with simple cleaning of the panels, despite them not appearing obviously dirty to the naked eye. It turns out the two panels that looked obviously dirty had cracks in the glass surface, and most of the discoloration was dirt that had seeped underneath the glass coating and could not be removed by cleaning. Surprisingly, not only did the surface cleaning of the two "dirty panels" improve, but it also improved the other panels that did not look like they needed cleaning! The original company that did the cleaning used a brush on a long pole to drip deionized water onto the panels. @sudandsqueegee used a long pole with two rotating brushes, which seemed to be more effective. They were very efficient and professional in their work. I recommend them highly.
