My husband and I did our research when choosing a company to install solar for our home. Among other things, it was Solar Symphony's glowing Yelp reviews that helped us make our final decision. So it feels appropriate that I,too, lend my support. Bethany and Alaina were prompt and efficient in helping us take care of all of the paperwork and logistics with our HOA and Alberto and his team had installation done in just one and a half days! I've already recommended Solar Symphony to two friends who are also considering installing solar in their home. From start to finish, we couldn't have asked for a better experience! read more

We received bids and met with other solar installers, like Sullivan and Costco, but Solar Symphony easily beat them. After researching further and talking with Bethany, the Director of Operations, we decided to go with them. Bethany keeps everything on track and on time and communicates as needed. The crew showed up on time, courteous, fast, and cleaned everything up upon completion. A perfect install. Having a great initial experience with Solar Symphony, our in-laws then used them as well as our neighbors for their solar needs. All with positive installs. All installs done last year, summer of 2019. March 2020 - We decided to go with an electric vehicle and Solar Symphony installed more panels and a 204v outlet to meet our needs. Another great experience with them. Highly recommend! read more

Dishonest !!!! Their ad said 7.6kW for net $14,646 (the net is the small print that means after 26% tax credit) Anyhow before Tax credit it should be $19,791 They told me that my ground mount system will be 23K (LG or Q-CELL panels + Enphase micro invertors) Here is the dishonesty, I got an official quote for $23,360 1- The quote came out 300 watts less 2- Lowest possible grade Chinese panels (Jinko !!) 3- Its already 4K more than roof mount. but yet they came back and said they didn't have the trenching cost included in the quote!!!!! . (so why the extra 4K?) Bait and switch??? I find them just DISHONEST and GREEDY so be careful. read more

What an amazingly easy experience. Solar Symphony took care of everything, from pulling permits, meeting with inspectors and final installation. Bethany and Alaina were amazingly responsive to calls and emails, always responding on the same day, usually within the hour. And the price was great. We got a number of bids. The team even matched the house paint color to put the finishing touches on the conduit installed. I would highly recommend Solar Symphony. read more

I've been so disappointed in this company. We moved into a house with these panels and they have been soo slow to respond in helping us understand this system. They don't seem to have great communication and I'm having a hard time getting answers about the warranty, the system in general and 4 panels that aren't working. It's so strange to me that they are a functioning company. read more

I started my decision to do Solar in May, and it was not completed until Nov. Throughout this process, I had nothing more than phone calls and e mails bringing me up to date on why it was taking so long. The installers were very professional and did a great job on the installation. However when my system was finally placed on line, No one took the time to walk me through the system only to send me some how to video's. On the turn on day I was told I have a weak internet connection and was handed an internet extender and told to connect it. From that point I was able to see how much each panel was producing and noticed that about 30% of my panels were putting about less that 30% of other panels and one panel putting out only about 20%. I addressed this with Joseph C. and he said that it was within spec's and that I had signed off on the design, in a very defensive manner. I told him that I believed that the panels need to be adjusted or moved, again he got defensive and said it was in parameters. He said they would monitor the system of a Month / year and then consider it. I have only had the system a month, I wanted a system which would give me 130% of my normal power consumption so as I could replace my existing appliances with electric. My first months electrical bill was $37 Plus taxes and Gas which should have been some kind of credit from SDG&E. I honored my part of my deal with Solar Symphony, Paid every bill the day it was e mailed to me. There lack of standing behind their design / business dealings requires me to tell anyone and everyone that there are numerous Solar Companies out there, Solar Symphony is definitely one to avoid. I will be looking for someone to correct their mistakes. Joe Merrifield 619-957-4430 read more

My wife and I are very pleased with our install so far. The sales and installation experience has been very pleasant thus far. Mark Nelson is both our sales and service rep. We really like that we can turn to the same person not just handed off from sales to service. The pricing was very competitive as well. Outstanding experience so far! read more

Very unhappy! I have to say that we went with Solar Symphony based on a friend's recommendation. These guys maybe good for commercial or small home projects, but not for a custom made multi million dollar home that requires attention to detail. I was told by their rep Rob Smith that the solar panels will be installed below the room tiles and that they will not be visible. Once the panels were placed and the roof was placed around it, we could clearly see the panels on the roof from the street which is the frontal view of the house. The panels look like an ugly bald spot! I called Rob Smith and explained that this is unacceptable! My neighbors are upset, and I had real estate agents telling me that this de-values the house. Rob, the great customer service salesman, all of a sudden became rude, told me that he had never told me any of these and he will have the owner of the company call me. He told me that this is not his problem and he is just a salesman. I have sent them multiple emails and text messages and I have been waiting for the owner of the company to call me back now for 3 weeks! Interestingly enough, they could have placed the panels in positions that would not be visible, we have enough room on the roof for all panels to be placed out of the view. But they never cared enough for the esthetic position of the panels. I am extremely disappointed in the way these guys have conducted themselves. When all goes well and before getting you hooked, they are amazing. The moment things go wrong, they become a totally unprofessional. In short, perhaps good for commercial non esthetic projects. But if you want your house to looks good and esthetic, don't use them. read more

We needed a new solar PV system and main panel upgrade at my in-laws' home, and Solar Symphony was a great company to work with! We were introduced to Solar Symphony through the Pick My Solar platform, and their price was very competitive. Everything they did for us was true to their word. Bethany always responded quickly, with a pleasant, professional demeanor, to all of my calls and emails. Shawn S. came out for our initial site visit and for the installation, and I truly appreciated his willingness to answer questions and make us feel comfortable. The installation team also consisted of Alberto L., Johnny B., Tanis P., and Fernando V., and they did a great, clean job in a very timely manner. Solar Symphony hired a subtractor to do the main panel upgrade, and his work was excellent as well. We previously used a different solar installer at our primary residence, and they did a great job as well, but I have to say that Solar Symphony is now at the top of our list of solar companies that we'd recommend to others. read more

Been working with Solar Symphony over 6 months now, still in progress of getting solar system and batteries installed. Hoping to have smooth install process but just wanted to voice my frustration over the last 6 months. I understand the process has a lot of variables, I understand there are various organizations involved to hit certain milestones. This review is strictly about communication, organization, and creating a smooth process for the customer. SS team is extremely friendly and professional however it feels that either they are understaffed or lack the ability to ensure the customer feels satisfied and needs are met. There have been many instances where SS has dropped the ball but I overlooked it in order to move on. However today we had a roof / site inspection scheduled and everyone knew rain was on the forecast. Rain was even mentioned in the email when SS set the appointment, so I figured it was not an issue. On top of that I explained that I would have to take time off work so please confirm the time etc. Come to find out at the apt the roof inspection could not take place because it was raining and that they would have to come back out again. Something so simple, yet annoying. Why not postpone the apt so we can get everything done at once? Why not mention techs are allowed to go on roofs if its raining (our roof is completely flat btw) before the apt? Now I am forced to take more time off for someone's poor planning. Today's situation sums up the experience with SS in the last 6 months. Nothing crazy bad, but cmon lets make the experience better for the customer. read more

After extensive research on different solar companies in San Diego, I initially failed to find a company that I was truly confident in doing a good job on installing solar for my house. However, after my neighbor Kevin's recommendation on Solar Symphony Construction, I began to research more about this company that I had only heard briefly about. Their reasonable price was much better than any other company we had research before. Their active communication and thoroughness in the setup process were important factors that I valued before choosing them, and it's a decision that I do not regret. The installation process could not have gone smoother thanks to the team at Solar Symphony, Mark, Bethany, and Alaina, as well as the construction crew and their foreman Chris. The crew were very polite and specifically made sure they kept things clean and organized. They always made sure I knew what they were doing and were extremely detailed and communicative in the installation and beyond. I thank Solar Symphony for being a great choice for installing solar and would recommend them to anybody looking for a great company for solar. read more

We got estimates from 6 different companies, 3 were big well known companies, and 3 were smaller, less familiar companies. The larger companies were quoting anywhere from 10 to 20 percent higher prices for the same system. We chose Solar Symphony from the smaller companies for a number of reasons: 1) They put a lot of detail into their quote, including the type of roof mount and racking. 2) They had good reviews on yelp. 3) They seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. 4) They were local. Ultimately, we decided to go for a slightly bigger system than they originally quoted, and we went for a SolarEdge inverter rather than the Sunny Boy, but we stuck with the panels they suggested. They system is working great for us, generating more power than we expected, which is great as we've been using our air conditioner a lot this summer. The entire process went very smoothly, they submitted plans to the city and to our HOA, handled most of the communication with the HOA, and got everything approved quickly. They were able to start work within a week of getting the approvals. The installation took two days, and looks great. They were able to run the conduit so that it is not visible from the street, and they painted it to match the house. Overall I would highly recommend. read more

Solar Symphony Construction - Putting our panels up. - Solar Installation Near Me - Escondido, California

We inherited a solar system on a home we recently purchased. During escrow, the system faulted and no longer produced any power by the time we took occupancy. Suffice it to say, conversations were extremely difficult to coordinate among our home seller, real estate agents, the solar installer, the solar manufacturer, the battery installer, and the battery manufacturer. Enter Mike Curtis of Solar Symphony who took the time to not only educate me on solar power systems but also organized the conversations among the previously mentioned parties resulting in the work I needed to be covered by warranty and completed quickly by capable technician. Many thanks to Mike and everyone on the Solar Symphony team! read more

I decided years ago to do solar but it never penciled out and the most I can get on my roof was about half my usage. Technology has advanced and new panels are more efficient and while prices may have not gone done, electric rates have gone up about 50% for me in the past 2 years so if your on the fence, now is the time to do. Payback is about 4-7 years which is pretty good. So why Solar Symphony? I had about 5 bids and pretty much knew what I wanted in terms of capacity, panel brand (LG) and inverter brand (SMA) and most sent out sales people of questionable knowledge of the systems. Solar Symphony actually was the first that came out that really knew their stuff and it didn't hurt that their prices for the equipment that I got were also lower. They did the design and sent it off for city approval which took a few weeks. They then came out to install and that took a few days but another week or so to get city inspection and another few weeks to get power company permission to operate. Overall the experience was very good and I would recommend Solar Symphony for price, quality of work, knowledge of the product and quality of equipment. I look forward to many years of free electricity. read more

These guys rocked it out. From the very beginning they had their act together, helped me figure out exactly what I needed and why, handle virtually all the paperwork necessary, communicated all along the way, worked hard and got the job done in the most professional manor. I don't think I've worked with a more professional group of people on a house project in my life. I'll just say that after years of using Yelp and never writing a review for anything, these guys brought me out of the shadows. If you plan on doing anything in the world of solar, to me there is no other choice. read more

They did a great job had our system for 5+ years. Looking to add more panels due to increased usage.

This has got to be one of the smoothest project I've seen. Our initial meeting with Mark was great, Chris and the crew were awesome - getting the install done in a SINGLE DAY ! All the correspondence with the HOA, the city, the power company and city inspections, everything was really smooth from start to finish. It was a true PLEASURE dealing with Solar Symphony! We signed the paperwork on 2/15 and our system was up and running on 3/28. Solar Symphony took care of EVERYTHING. Easiest project EVER! I would HIGHLY recommend them! read more

I don't take a 5-star rating lightly, but this was earned. I had a preferred solar company from a previous installation but needed a company that could include roofing replacement, solar thermal, and other conservation measures into a single project. Their proposal for solar electric and roofing replacement were both lower than quality competitors, and their ratings on Yelp gave me the comfort level to give them a shot. They don't do solar thermal so I found a great option (Sunchaser Solar), and Solar Symphony agreed to add this scope into their project and coordinate the work at no additional cost. Getting to the communication...which is HUGE in my book...this is where Solar Symphony shined as much as anywhere. This was a large, complex project, and I was made aware of every step in the process through outstanding communication by Mike and Summeur. I am a partner in a conservation company for large corporate clients and I'm VERY picky about client service and communication...Solar Symphony was OUTSTANDING. There was even a subcontractor that fell a little short in their communication, but Mike stepped in immediately and made sure I was kept in the loop and happy. As for the implementation, their crews are very respectful, professional, and courteous throughout. Re-roofing is noisy and dirty regardless...but they did a great job with care and cleanup to minimize the issues. They simply did a great job with roofing and the solar installation. I've already had multiple compliments about the entire project, the workers, and the finished look...even had one person tell me it's the best looking system they've seen. Two neighbors have already expressed interest in using Solar Symphony if they proceed with systems themselves. Kudo's to Solar Symphony...a serious recommendation for anyone who wants a quality job and a great price with excellent communication and results! read more

Great company. I got a ground mounted system (28 panels) installed about 2 years ago and the production has been great. The installation was smooth and their bid was about $4K less than the competition. I was initially worried about any warranty repairs but not anymore. read more

We did our research before selecting Solar Symphony. Everyone we have met or spoken to on the phone has been customer focused. Bethany has a well run organization. It appears that every member of the team has been trained to be professional, friendly, and responsive. They had the same positive experience that we did with Solar Symphony. read more

I wondered about the name, Solar Symphony. Now I get it. It started with our salesman, Mark, who was extremely knowledgable and professional. Then, "Victor's" team put 14 panels on our roof. Solar Symphony is like a fine orchestra with each member handling their part with near perfection. These guys were outstanding in every way. I highly recommend them. read more

Solar Symphony is one of those companies that I would recommend without reservations to anyone. After being a homeowner for 9 years, I have learned that it is incredibly rare to find contractors who are trustworthy, reliable, efficient, and also do quality work. I got 3 quotes for solar before deciding on Solar Symphony. From beginning to end, everyone I encountered in this company answered my questions almost instantaneously (whether it was through email, text, or telephone). They got everything rolling so quickly (from HOA approval to SDGE approval), which I have heard is not the case for many of the other companies. Everyone was ON IT. In this world of so many flaky contractors, I appreciate that so much. Thank you, Rob, Bethany, Alaina, Tommy, and the rest of the crew! read more

Working with Solar Symphony was a complete pleasure. A client of mine hired Solar Symphony to do his residential solar installation and he gave them rave reviews so I contacted them. They were about 30% cheaper than the major players - you know, those guys with the huge sales staff bugging you every time you enter Home Depot or Lowes. The system was affordable enough that we were able to cover our entire electric bill with a system that would pay off in under five years. Much better than any lease. Once we gave the green light, we went from signing the estimate to turning the system on in about 30 days. Most of it was waiting for the city to do their inspection. Installation was two days. The team was professional, courteous and quick. These guys really have their act together and are quite efficient. I recommend Solar Symphony to ANYONE who is thinking about going solar. After you are done, you will run your A/C with no worries and rest easy knowing you just got rid of your electric bill and protected yourself from future pricing increases. At the two year mark, we discovered our panels stopped producing (water had gotten into a junction box-extremely uncommon occurrence). I have had the system for 52 months. It was supposed to produce what amounts to 5,100 KW Hours per year on average. So, at this rate by now it would have produced 22,100 KWH. However, in fact it has produced 23,784 KWH. This number is AC watts. It is a 3.3 KW system (DC). So, I am quite happy with the numbers. I have called with questions about four times over the years. Each time they have been very responsive. One time required a replacement of the communications device - again no problem - promptly replaced. What impressed me the most was when I signed up for the system back on March 12, 2016. The systems was officially up and running by March 26, 2016. I told them during the sales stage that I wanted a 3.3 KW system for the same price as my son-in-law paid for his 3.3 KW system. The gave me the same price even though my roof faces west and my son-in-law's faces south. To do so, my system required solar panels that produce more energy to make up for not facing south. They did this for the same price. I was impressed with that kind of service. read more

Yelp needs to add a sixth star... 2.5 months after installation, everything is running superb. The SMA inverter allows us to monitor our production each day via mobile app. We're able to run A/C virtually the entire day, keeping the house nice at 75, and power bills are just $2-3/mo. Solar Symphony went as far as to install additional panels to ensure we would produce enough to cover the production agreement per year.
