I only come here because it's close, but I will go somewhere else for a pedicure from now on. The guy that stands in the front and occasionally does nails.. is completely rude. Not only does he wreak of cigarettes, he ignores everyone. I came in and immediately sat me in a chair that had super hot water, I sat there for 15+ before I could finally get his attention to ask how long my wait was. He just looked at me and pointed to one of the girls saying she will do it now. I then waited 10 more minutes and my water was cold by the time she finally started working. I think the girls are friendly and do the best they can but this guy who stands in the front is absolutely horrible!!!!!!! read more

Came here on New Year's Eve. Was given a quote of 30 min from the young girl with the glasses. She said there was one person in front of me and only four nail techs which I understood. I said that was fine. So I waited. And waited. And waited. And waited with absolutely no acknowledgement from the girl who quoted me the 30 min. Other nail techs finished and took other clients. One who came back after her wait time which is fine. Another lady who had an appt at 2, came in at 330 and she was taken before me since she had an appt (even tho she forgot about it) it was 4:00 and I had officially waited an hour and 15 min!!!!!!! I finally told the girl I was leaving. And I also said "you quoted me 30 min and it's been an hour and 15 min" and all she said was "yea her manicure took longer than I thought" I'm not quite Sure who's manicure she was talking about, Since the nail techs that were finishing were taking other clients. I understand waiting, especially since I did not have an appt, HOWEVER, if you notice that a nail tech is taking longer than usual for some reason, then please tell me how much longer it will be and don't leave me just sitting there wondering. She did was very non apologetic as well. Did not say "I'm so sorry. Please come back again" NOTHING even though this whole ordeal was her fault. I wasted an hour and 15 min here today and I will NEVER be back again. read more

I get pedicures on the regular all over town and decided to try this place out it's close to my house and I am so disappointed and upset. 40 dollar pedicure and left with ugly dry. Pain filled feet. Save yourself money go anywhere else. She cleaned my toenails up. Did the Sugar scrub was up my leg ONCE. Legit just up one swipe then washed it off. Took out the water I asked for her to please remove my dry skin since that's why I get pedicures she tells me they don't do that here I said what I only get a pedicure for that reason. Then she tells me they aren't allowed. I should have gotten up and left at this point. But I didn't. I was hoping okay maybe I can get a decent lotion massage. Nope. Maybe went up my calf twice. Then polished and dried my feet. (Polish is poorly done too) when I asked the front desk what I'm paying almost 40 bucks for she tells me a pedicure. I tried to explain that I have never gotten a pedicure and been told anywhere they can't remove your dead crusty skin. She tried telling me that it's ILLEGAL. Every salon in Fresno and Clovis would be shut down then. The owner or manager came over I explained it to her she turns around and proceeded to talk shit on a language I couldn't understand but facial expressions say a lot then looks and tells me I still need to pay the almost 40 bucks. I would not recommend this place although I did not have an appointment I did a wait about 45 minutes and when I finally was seated the girl had no idea what I wanted. And I explained to her that I have currently gel nails on and I want her to take the old gel nails off and put new ones on. And she was like well do you have Tips on well let me just check on like checking for what I know what I have and they are gel nails. This place is just ridiculous so I'm the customer and I know that I have gel nails and that's all I wear and I tell you I have gel nails. I took my daughter here, fully regret it. She made the aryclic nails too thick so they curve downwards. Spent $70 for a polish change and a full set with only one color and It was the wrong color , her toes don't match her finger nails. She had no clue what she was doing, my daughter had asked for "jelly" polish and she told her they don't have that there.. well the lady who worked behind her knew exactly what she wanted and where the polish was located on the shelves. Sunday 9/6/15 ....Terrible service. Signed in at 12:10pm for pedicure because the receptionist told me it would be approx 30 minutes. It was ok because I had my phone so I could watch YouTube to kill some time. 15 mins later 2 older white females come in for a pedicure. At 12:45 (mind you my feet had been soaking since around 12:13pm while waiting) they start working on the 2 older white females. I didn't say anything. Now it's 1pm my feet look like prunes at this point. By 1:07pm I am livid. Almost an hour wait!! Wow as soon as I put on my flip flops to exit the salon all of a sudden they have time to do my feet. No thanks! I see they work by how much money they are going to make at one sitting. Either I'm NOT important because I was the only black person in the room or it was a money thing. I WILL NEVER GO TO SOLAR NAILS AND SPA AT HERNDON AND CLOVIS SHOPPING CENTER AGAIN!! read more

Great service for a pedicure! Was seated promptly and my pedi began. The lady did a great job making sure I was comfortable with the water temp and than began working away. My toes looked great at the end, the massage chair was also great to adding to my relaxation. Simple pedi cost $22. This place also offers wifi which was nice. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This lady name Nancy did a HIRRIBLE job in my nails. Seriously looks like a 5 year old did my nails. Tried calling to speak to the owner and the girl said she would be back in a couple of hours and when I called 2 hours later another girl said she was on vacation. Doesn't make sense. The girl tried doing a design heart on my nail and butchered it then I said take it off and she even admitted I suck at it and I said it's fine whatever. All I wanted was French tip nails with red hearts in the ring finger and in return I got shitty nails that looked like a kindergarten did them :( I don't recommend coming here read more

I've been here several times and every time, which is probably 5 times my nails have chipped within a day with gel and same thing with gel acrylics. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they're close to my home, but failed every time. I travel a lot and right now I have a chipped nail with half acrylic while I am away from home. It's embarrassing because I see vendors and retailers. I don't recommend this place for any gel manicures or acrylics. I wish there was a lower rating. I went there for a pedicure and it all started out fine. The attendant place the blue cover into the bathing tub and ran the water. She reached into her rolling box of items and retrieved the gray 'stopper' that helps circulate the water in the tub. She used it and completed the pedicure. Then she used one of her pedicure tools to pry up the stopper for the tub to drain it. She went to detach the gray filter thing and it came apart in two pieces. I glanced at it and saw something pink on the whole inside. I reached for it and felt it and it was pink moldy slime! Obviously, this had not been cleaned after the last customer and I had been the victim of slimming in the water! UEEWWW! The attendant chuckled and put it away in with her pedicure tools. I will not be going back! And now I wonder what diseases I was exposed to! read more

I am only giving 1 star cause I had to give something. I have been a manicurist for 18years and I am disgusted with the service that these types of nail salons offer. First off a pedicure should take longer that 10 minutes regardless if it is an adult or a child if you are going to charge me for a pedicure then you need to do a full pedicure not a 10 minute one. My daughters nails were not clipped and she didn't get a massage. I didn't get my pedicure cause I was not going to pay $5 to take gel off of 2 of my toes. I will do my own pedicure. I have never understood why you charge extra for gel anyway I don't charge my clients extra. Then after my my daughters half done pedicure I get charged $22 are you serious $22 for not clipping or massaging. These nails salons are a joke they just want your money and don't care about the service they offer to clients. read more

Horrible. Came in with a great manicure that was just grown out and left without even letting her paint my nails. They were shaped so badly that there was no fixing them without having them filed down to nothing. They use really really old product that's been thinned out and none of their colors match what's painted on the samples. Not to mention the girl painted four layers on my moms nails with gel and it's already peeling less than 4 hours later. read more

I walked in without an appointment and the very kind woman at the front desk told me there would be a 20-30 min wait which was fine. After waiting patiently for more than an HOUR i was finally next in line. A woman walks in and says she was there for her appointment. The woman at the desk explains that they didn't have her appointment in the book but that they would get her in as soon as they could. The next chair that opened up went to that woman and I was left waiting again for another 40 minutes. The wait I was estimated as for 30 minutes turned into an hour and fourth minutes. I have been to many salons in the bay are and in the central valley and I love this place the best. I go once a month for my nails and have pedicures once in a while. all the girls do a wonderful job on my nails and if i bring in a photo of rt that i want they have always been able to do it for me and my nails always get compliments everywhere i go. I love it that when i walk in they know me, and make me feel comfortable right away - even when i forget to make an appointment - i never have to wait too long. Acrylic, Gel, 3d art, rhinestones, custom painted art - i have had them do it all. My husband loves getting pedicures there with me....its a great date! i can't say enough good things about this salon! read more

I was very disappointed. I had acrylics put on and a pedicure. The acrylics were ok but only looked good for about a week then started to lift. The pedicure chipped after less than 24 hours. I went back and they simply painted over it and it chipped again. I have since switched where my nails are done and never have any issues. I would not go back to Solar nails again.. read more

Terrible service and horrible product that is not quality out all and they are the same price around town. The lady filed off my actual nail so thin that they were hurting and burnt under the UV gel light. Four days in, my nails were peeing and cuts in my actual nail. Completely ruined my nails. Also, pedicures, they don't even do any scrubbing. Even for the most expensive pedicure, they don't do any type of cleaning. I wish I could give them a ZERO. I am not hard to please but this place is absolutely terrible. I have came before and had a bad experience, but I decided to give them another try. Worst experience than the first. I was complaining about how my nails looked deformed, uneven and bubbles all in the Color. Worst experience ever. My husband and I went for pedicures and manicures. The water was cold for both of us, which once I asked they fixed. My pedicure was rushed, no massage. They made my husband wait almost an hour for his pedicure. By the time they started his I was done. So to kill time I told then I wanted a manicure as well. They sat me at a table and one woman started my manicure and then stopped. She informed me that someone else would come finish it shortly. After soaking my fingers in ice cold water for almost 20 minutes a man finally came and startes to work on my nails. He was rough and cut me multiple times with the cuticle clippers. I'm still bleeding from my thumb. Then proceeded to start painting them. After the first coat, which looked sloppy, I pointed out that he had missed spots and he said it was the color I had chosen, not him. By now my husband is done and just sitting there waiting so I told the man just to forget the gel polish that I did not want to make my husband wait. So he proceed to TRY and take it off. In the end what I ended up with was half removed gel polish, a bleeding thumb and still having to pay for the manicure portion of this train wreck. Thouroghly disappointed and will not be going back, Nor do I recommend this place. read more

My daughters and I go here regularly we have been to other nail salons but we really like this one. So we just come here now. They are very friendly and I'm always happy with my nails when done. I was going to a NASCAR race Cindy did a bright red gel then on my ring fingers she used white gel then did a small black and white checkerboard pattern. I have gotten so many compliments I've seen her other nail art and she is very talented. So far everyone has been very professional I'd recommend going here to anyone. read more

The first time I went to this nail salon, I loved it! The girl who did my nails was so nice and we talked the entire time! I had made another appointment a few days earlier, and 30 mins before my appointment they call me to tell me a girl called in sick and they had to push my appointment back 30 mins (thats what she said at first). I asked if she could do something for me (discount) and she said no. So I asked what time and she said 30-45 minutes. So they lost my business. I think that is very unprofessional. I won't waste my money here, ever! I was shown a book of pedi options-I chose the one without the extras-no wax, etc. I was told it was $18. I decided to add a mani also. When it came time to pay, it came to $57 because I chose gel polish and paid with a credit card (use of credit card is $2 per service)! I thought you couldn't be charged for use of a credit card. The pedi/mani was mediocre at best. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE! I was generous with a tip but regret I patronized this shop. Never again! read more

I went today like I normally do to get my gel mani normally $25... had them fix one nail, no biggie, figured they would charge. I went to the front desk to put and the girl says it's $35 and I asked, is it $10 to fix a nail.. she said no it's $5 but it's another $5 to shape your nails coffin style!!!! I said I got a manicure, she said nothing other than a square shape was included. My nails were already shaped this way. This was never nor ever has been disclosed to me they charge $5 extra to shape your nails for a manicure. I told her if she didn't fix it I would never come back and they would lose a good customer. She just stared back stupidly! I should have taken my tip back ugh!!! They will never get another dollar of my money, it's the point of the matter! read more

Been coming to the place since it opened. Came in for a gel pedicure. I asked how long the wait would be and the front girl said about 10 mins after waiting 10 mins she sat me in a pedicure chair and 45 mins later I was finally attended to. The nail girl was apologetic and tried to get me a discount from both the receptionist and from the owner lady. Both said no and didn't care I waited that long with my 5 year old child too.
