I have never left a bad review but this one had to be vented! Worst nail salon experience I've ever had, and it's completely because of the owner. She was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful--embarrassing me in front of other customers over a simple misunderstanding and talking down to her own employee right in front of me. After 3.5 hours, I was charged $75 for just the acrylic full set and $65 for a pedicure. The owner rushed over, told her staff to make sure I paid, and walked out. It felt greedy and completely unprofessional. The nail techs were kind, but the owner ruined the entire experience. I won't be back. read more

Received a full set at this nail salon yesterday and I have cuts on nearly every single finger. Dremel was used to remove my cuticles and I was bleeding all over. I had to ask for alcohol myself. I had an older lady who was named Joy I believe, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, and I know she was trying, but I kept voicing my concern that she didn't thin out my French tip & she kept saying it was my toe? It was a thick line of polish she could have just used the brush to thin it. she also didn't trim the cuticles very well and she left white nail polish marks over my skin as well as cut my skin in a weird way around my toes leaving a white cast (hard to explain) and then they asked me if I wanted to tip when I left. I was super excited to get my pedicure at this place since I have been here a few times and never had any issues. Today I went in and was seated down and a man named David proceeded to help me. He was a younger guy who I had never seen or had done my toes before. Everything was going ok then he started to file/drill and clean up my toenails. I have had a history of ingrown toenails and have had procedures done so my toes aren't the prettiest but I get pedicures so I am less likely to get one. This man proceeded to drill down hard on my toenails and then drill down my cuticles? Why are you using a drill then cutting my cuticles this was hurting me and then to make matters worse my cuticle proceeds to bleed. I was so overwhelmed and embarrassed as this was painful and this man wasn't picking up on the fact that I was flinching every time he filed and cut my nails. He was so careless and inconsiderate to the situation after I told him I have issues with ingrown nails and that he needed to be more careful with my nails. He proceeded to put acetone and something else on my bleeding cuticles which burned like crazy!!! I am extremely disappointed with this service and if it weren't for ladies like Kathy, Jenny or Tina I wouldn't go back. I'm happy they had Kathy do my pedicure after, she was nice and tried to comfort me as I was overwhelmed and crying. Those ladies are so kind and mindful of my toenails and never hurt me. I've been to this place multiple times for powder dip nails. I'd say the results are way nicer than most nail bars I've been to around the area. I think the nail tech made my nails too fat this time due to the access powder acrylics on the side of my nails and she did not shaping and file them nicely. I asked for a manicure in addition to the powder dip nail service because I wanted my cuticles cut and cleaned. I feel she did not do a good job at this. I love to get my nails done at aqua nails. I love Bill, he's awesome. I have carpal tunnel amd another problem that causes me to stay in extreme pain. When I've gone to other salons I've told the go easy on the filing and other tortures they use to make your nails look gorgeous. Bill knows this and when he does nails they are always perfect, no pain all the same size, and all filed perfectly. The pedicures are to die for. I love tje paraffin wax they put feet in. I don't like gel polish on my toes though. They are so friendly there too. Take your man. There's so many guys that go there with their ladies. read more

I try to come here every time I'm in town any every single time the experience is great and always come out loving my nails.

I was extremely disappointed in my experience at this nail salon. Let me start out by saying that a mother and daughter finished their mani and pedis before my nail lady was even done filing my nails and I started 15-20 mins before them. My nails came out all types of shapes,lengths and textures.My left thumb came out looking like a character from thumb wars. And when I asked for her to fix it... she replied "your finger go like that". So I paid and walked out. After calming down (5-10mins) I re entered and they booked me for the following day to get them fix. Not to mention when I left my pointer finger on my right hand chipped immediately. The day of my follow up appointment...I enter and at that point you could sense that she seemed rushed and annoyed. So...she fixes my top coat. That's it! Not even a reshape... super disappointed.Anyways, so when she continued to fix the chip with the monomer and powder she didn't shape it correctly and half came out pointy while the other half is round. I understand being understaffed but I made an appointment in the first place so that they could properly prepare. Overall they lost a loyal customer ‍ read more

I'm definitely not a novice to getting my nails done, nor a nit-picker. This was literally the worst nail experience I've ever had and the very reason to start having anxiety. I felt like I was on a prank show, while the smug owners stood by merely observing.This absurd and awful experience was too ridiculous to keep this review short, you deserve the details. I went in with long strong natural dipped nails, asked for oval-shaped gel french manicure with black tips instead of white and regular pedicure. But instead came out with cuticle damage, my right hand nails are shorter squared off, with misaligned French tips and both hands and clothes were covered in acetone/dip powder. The only way to capture is the list below: 1. My pedicure was decent. The water was lukewarm and she did rub my ankle bones raw with the pumice stone, but the leg massage was great. 2. The manicure was hideous from start to finish. The first attendant, I believe was Jolee or Joyee, started on my right hand, taking three unsuccessful acetone soaked tries to remove and dremel the existing color and damaging my cuticles (1.5 hrs). 3. The acetone and nail filings were in my hair, my clothes and caked onto the skin on both hands. She attempted to use the dremel on my fingers and palm skin to remove instead of washing it. 4. She nicked my skin and cuticles on my right hand with the dremel causing me to bleed. 5. Despite showing the photo repeatedly to clarify what "oval" meant, she chopped my long nails into short uneven jagged peaks and filed them into uneven stubby squares. 6. I was transferred to Paulina, whom tried to fix it, complimenting my left hand telling me my "nails were perfect". My response was "those are my long natural nails that have not been butchered yet." 7. She shook her head and tried to fix them by reshaping with dip powder, telling me "don't worry they'll grow back". 8. Then she discovered the color she was given wasn't the correct color I chose. 9. My hands looked like they were covered in dry glue and she was rubbing with cuticle oil peeling them. And no lotion or hand massage applied. 10. She tried her best with the gels. There are bubbles under the two nails and jagged edges on the sides. My right hand's nails are misshapen and drastically shorter with all misaligned French tips. 11. The owners observed the entire 2.5 hr excruciating process chatting and hanging out leisurely amongst themselves shooting the shit. 12. When I retold the issues as I was paying, I said to him "if she didn't know how to do nails in an oval shape, she should have told me", he responded dismissively, "she knows, she should have known better" and scoffed it off giving me $12 off. Mind you, I still paid $71 and tipped the first two for their mediocre work. Be forewarned. Not only are they unskilled, dismissive, and the staff is sloppy and unkempt...I noticed them use the same emery boards and files on multiple people without washing their hands in between clients. This whole operation was amateur hour and subpar customer service. Never again. read more

I come here because it's convient! However, I should start going to other nail salons. When they first opened this locations, everything was new obviously and the experience was great, throughout the years the service has decreased and looks run down; chairs dont massage anymore, they are pealing, when they let your feet soak, they no longer add anything in there, the towels they used are grey looking (makes it feel like they are dirty) and my biggest problem, is probably them saying the wait is none. They sit you down but it take 10-15 minutes for someone to actually come and start the work. I would recommend that this place take more action to their work expertise. To love what they do and really give the service they are expected to give. Most of the time they talk amongst themselves, which is fine. I believe the customer service can increase in any establishment. read more

I'm new to the area and was looking for a place to get my nails done! This was the first spot I tried and was so pleased that I havent gone anywhere else. The staff are all kind and attentive. They do their best to get you sat as soon as possible. I started having my 5 year old get her nails painted and they are are always very patient with her! best part, my nails will actually hold up for a little longer than 2 weeks! definitely recommend! read more

I have been going to Aqua Nails for the last few years but I can't handle their rudeness any longer. I had a appointment at 11:30 for my fingernails with Kimberly today. I got there 1 1/2 hours early so I could get a pedicure first. They gave me a very elderly woman to do my toenails, and I showed her a picture of red white and blue toenails that I wanted to get done. I asked her can you do this? She said yes. 1 1/2 hours later this woman is still trying to paint three stars on my big toe. She's wiping off, retrying, wiping off, retrying. She ended up having to put silver star decals on my toe which was fine at this point because I was over it. So FINALLY getting my topcoat on my toes and I watch Kimberly at 25 minutes after 11 take a walk-in customer instead of waiting for a few minutes for me. So I had to sit there and wait a full hour before I was taken which was now 12:30 in the afternoon. Then I show Kimberly my picture for my red white and blue fingernails that I wanted and one finger had three stars on it, Kimberly tells me she charges five dollars a star to paint. So for three stars on one finger it was going to cost me an additional $15 per hand-$30.00 extra dollars! unbelievable! After her making me wait a full hour, not even saying I'm sorry and now she was going to gouge me to paint three stars? I forgot to say that my really crappy pedicure? Cost me $54!To make a long story short I was so upset when I left I didn't even see how much they charged me until I got home. They charged me $126 for a really crappy pedicure and gel fingers. My fingers cost $72!!! I am still so upset at the way they treat me, I feel like every time I go in there it is the same thing. When am I going to learn not to go back? Today was finally the straw that broke the camels back. So if you like rude people who treat you like crap then this is the place for you! It took me a while to learn but I finally learned it! So BEWARE of this place. They RIP you off and don't care how they treat their customers!!! UPDATE: very next morning the appliqué stars that were put on my toes (my $54 pedicure) are lifting off! (man and woman) are horribly rude and disrespectful, honest to God ripped us off. The woman made my 12 year old daughters nails cost $53, by talking the CHILD into a design she did not understand (said it was purple ombré) and did not ask if the price was okay before doing the job. How is this okay?! She also refused to give me a copy of my receipt. She just kept asking us to get something else, something cheaper on my daughters nails...after I had already paid because she said she wouldn't give us a refund (I wasn't even asking for one at that point, I was just telling her she should make a practice of asking the paying parents if the price is okay) It was honestly so off putting and weird.
