So my review is a little bit late! Forgive me but I just GOT MARRIED! I was looking for a place to take my bridesmaids and some of my close friends and family to get our nails done for the wedding which was on April 9th. I had called around to several places and received less than enthusiastic responses from the establishments about doing a large group (we had 10 girls). That all changes the second Kat picked up the phone for Avalon nails!! She was kind and warm and so sweet to ask me questions about my wedding. Kat explained that Avalon nails is small with only a couple stations but that she and the other girl (ugh! I can't remember her name right now) would basically shut down the spa so that my party could take over! So Friday morning we blocked off a few hours and we all came in and HAD A BALL!!! The owner had setup cheese, crackers, fruit, and all the makings for mimosa's for us! Seriously!!! It was so special. We got our nails done two at a time in shifts but it was never dull! The girls that weren't getting their nails done sat around and munched on goodies while enjoying our own playlist that Kat helped us get on the radio! We danced and laughed and talked! My nails looked amazing for the day of my wedding. It took some extra time but it was totally worth it! Thanks so much to all three ladies that helped us at Avalon! This is one of the "WORST" nail salon EVER!! I will never ever return..... when I got there I told the guy that helped me that I want a fill and I wanted to keep the shape I already had which was stiletto...... 1 hour and $40 dollars later I ended up with this crappy job: nail gel is lumpy, nails are uneven & the color does not cover the full nail. WORST nail salon EVER!! It stated on the front of the store it's under new management. I was passing through and wanted to get my nails and toes done. This place came up being nearest to me and reading "old" reviews, I thought I tried it. As I walked in, I noticed all of the lights were off and there were only 2 workers with 2 customers. The gal there was sweet, but the guy named Henry was RUDE! Long story short, I left and paid full price before my nails and toes were done. All I have to say is that I hope I do not get an infection that will cause my nails to fall off. Worst service and they knew the service provided was not up to par because they were offering additional services free of charge. read more

I went to get acrylics taken off & get a valentines gel manicure. All I wanted was a white nail with black stripes & a Lil red heart. The lady kept trying to paint a heart & couldn't do it. She kept erasing it & trying it over & over & over again. I stayed there longer than expected. In the end I just told her to forget it & just paint it the same color as the rest of the nails. She only took some of the gel off & painted thick layer on top. So thick they chipped & u could see the white underneath. Then they still tried to change me full price (including nail art)! If they could do the nail art, they could of just told me from the beginning & I would of changed my nails plan, that would be better customer service. read more

Wanted to do something nice for myself and decided to come here after other appointments didn't follow through. I called ahead of time and was told there wouldn't be a wait. My nail guy wasn't the most talkative, but the TV with daytime soap operas filled our silence. He didn't really ask for any opinions on things, so some of my nails did turn out a little funky. I would come back because there wasn't a wait time and for simple acrylics, but do not recommend getting matte nails or any difficult designs (especially with jewelry, until they stock up on more varieties). VERY unprofessional. I called ahead and made an appointment for 1pm, I got there and no one was in there and there was a sign saying be back in 30 min. I waited 10 more minutes and still no one. If I wanted to wait on someone I would of just walked into any nail salon, I just don't see how you can have a business and totally disregard your clients appointments. read more

Have the place another try recently... Prices on pedi went up by $10!!!! Never mind for having great affordable prices. Not worth it for what you get. Went in to get a pedi. Place is very clean. Costumer service is great! Prices are cheap! The older Asian gentlemen did my pedi. From afar the pedi looks nice but wasn't till I got home I took a really close look and the polish was very sloppy! The man went way outside the nail on a few different toes. At one point I think he tried to cover up his mistakes but overcutting my skin (ouch) to remove polish. Given that the price was so low and the place is very nice and service was quick I would be willing to give them another chance but next time I'll ask for a different nail tech. read more

I walked in, excited to try a new place, I was greeted nicely. Kat started my "manicure" by filing my nails and then proceeded to put my gel polish on. I have been to places, not many, that trim your cuticles after they polish, which makes no sense to me, but I am not a nail professional, so I don't question process. She finished the polish and said alright you're good to go. Honestly, I was caught off guard, I am in no way confrontational or one to call someone out, so I proceeded to pay and was charged for a "gel manicure" but what I received was a gel polish. Three hours after being home my thumbs, index fingers and ring finger on the right hand and pinky finger on left, started lifting. I called in and Kat said that I needed to come back in the following day because she was busy and that I must have not put my hands flat under the light and she has no idea what happened. I wasn't able to come back in thanks to my children's busy activities schedule and plans for Father's Day, that's why I had them done on Friday. I text Kat and asked if I could please have a refund since I wouldn't be able to come back in, they aren't open Sunday's and she knew I was leaving out of state for a week and half Monday, which is why I was getting my nails done. She said she would issue me a refund, but that they were closed for the evening. I proceeded to follow up the next day and suddenly her tune had changed and said I needed to come in for a refund, even though she knew I had no time to come in and that I was heading out of state. She said well that's store policy. She said that I could have tampered with the nails and that's why they were lifting. I just paid to have my nails done for vacation, why would I want them lifting and peeling off? Basically, this place does very lazy work and has no customer service. I was actually going to attempt to come back in after I returned from vacation and give her another chance, but after the run around and terrible customer service, I won't and will make sure none of my family or friends come in as well. I don't like being negative and saying negative things about others, but I have never been made feel so foolish in my life. read more

Literally the worst the guy is by himself and when my friend and I came in he had to do both of ours at the same time which was fine, but he was in a rush. He cut my nails in the weirdest possible way. I got a gel mani pedi and it cost me $60 for the worst I've ever had. Another lady came in with her daughter and they weren't satisfied with theirs either, and he would talk bad about them to us so he probably talked crap about us to others too. He was very pushy with us giving him a tip like he didn't deserve any but we gave him some out of pity. I tried to find someone else here to do the work but it was still just him. I don't know what happened to everyone else but no one else could redo my nails and I sure as heck don't trust him to do it. Never coming back waste of my time and money. read more

I was very happy with the pedicure I received. They were extremely nice and very attentive to what they were doing. I had called ahead of time to see what the wait time on a Saturday afternoon would be, and I was able to come right in without any wait. Everything in the salon was very clean, organized and all the tools were individual wrapped. I upgraded from a regular pedi to a deluxe and was not disappointed. It was a little higher priced than I would normally like to pay but $30 for the deluxe for an occasional treat, I can live with. I think I have found my new pedi place! read more

I came in a hour before closing and the guy who did my pedi was very nice and took his time doing my French nails! Unfortunately upon returning several times to this location I cannot say I had the same experience as first listed. I never again had the wonderful manicurist who I raved of in my first review, as when I called to make appointments with her the woman who owns the business wanted to book appointments for herself and other staff and would not accommodate request. When she and her other associates did my nails they were always sloppy, quick jobs with little attention to detail - my nails were often not fully filled, uncleaned around the edges, and any attempts at design on the natural nail was a disaster that had to be scrapped altogether. I also found that on these occasions my nails began pealing after about a week even though I had chosen the gel option. While their spa selection and other features remain exceptional, the lack of dedication to honoring customer requests, the lack of attention to detail in their work, and the poor quality of the gel polish do not make their service worth the amount charged. Avalon Nails is average at its best, and rather overpriced and inconvenient at its worst. read more

It's a full service salon. Right now it is understaffed so walk ins may have a hard time. She is trying to staff it. But make an appointment you are solid. read more

Went here after seeing it was under new management hoping for the best. After an hour and a half of getting my nails done. The acrylic didn't go down to the base, they look like they are peeling, very thick, very uneven, forgot top coat on four of my nails so dirt is sticking to them like magnets. Went in the next day to ask for a refund and they said the best they could do was take them off for me. Do not recommend ever going here. read more

I would recommend it was reasonably priced, and I was able to get a same day appointment. Just a few notes, I had acrylics with gel paint, on some of the nails the gel polish does not go to the edges and some nails look wavey and not smooth, I think it was the polish not the acrylic, it's hardly noticeable, I'm just particular about my nails, I doubt anyone would notice, I don't mean to offend just being honest. read more
