Despite the review from Leah K on July 3 which was confusing in itself, we had a different experience. If they filled up on free bread, why eat the so called awful food because they were starving? Why not simply inform the owner of their dissatisfaction of the two meals, allow them to make it right and give the place a second chance? The confusion was in the fact that the review sounded more positive than negative. 6 of us had the pleasure of dining at Sogno last night and it was delicious for all! We had the water melon salad, muscles in red sauce,, muscles in white sauce, branzino, cod, seafood risotto and lots of bread. The experience was terrific and we look forward to going back. read more

We had our annual family Christmas dinner at Sogno last night. 8 of us and dined at the wine barrel table in the bar, the perfect spot. The ambiance, staff and owners made you fell welcome from the moment you walked in. The meatball appetizer with charcuterie board was incredible. Every dish we ordered was so good, it was like everyone was lobbying that their dish was the best, even the tiramisu, cannoli's and chocolate cake. BRAVO to the Sogno Restaurant , this is a must place to dine and we are already talking about when we're going back!!! read more

Happy to report that the newest restaurant on the island is a winner! With an Italian background, I am cautious of any Italian Restaurant other than home cooking, but Sogno delivered on taste, quality, ambiance, and level of service. Our server Joe was a pleasure to meet, and we will definitely ask for him again! The Pasta Fagioli is a unique take on an Italian classic, and the linguini with clams was almost as good as my Mother's! The owners were very active in the Restaurant, walking from table to table to introduce themselves and making sure everything was satisfactory. I highly suggest reservations, as they were packed! Being from Long Island I have always eaten clams and spaghetti especially in the Northeast I've never enjoyed them here in Florida until Sonya had them last week there and was pleasantly surprised they were as good as or if not much better than my experiences in New York if you like clams and linguine I strongly urge you to try Sonia on Anastasia Island it's the best you'll have here in our little town the service was amazing also that's just an added Plus Brian B read more

We had to ask for bread. No one got bread when seated. The manager said of course we have bread. The risotto was mushy it looked like grits. My meatballs were cold. Inflated price had a better dinner at Harry's Seafood for the same amount of money. They need to make changes with their service and food. I won't return. It's only been open one week. read more

These 5 star reviews are definitely fake. I brought my family to dine here after reading the reviews and we were all so disappointed. This was the worst meal we have ever had. If we had the option not to eat it and walk out we would have, but we were so hungry and had tickets to see the night of lights by boat so we had to eat. There were 8 of us and all of our meals were awful. The bread was honestly the best part. The chicken was so dry it was almost jerky, the lobster ravioli was terrible, the chicken parm was flavorless, the pasta was overcooked and undercooked at the same time - a goopy mess, all of the sauce tasted like it came from a can. Even the buratta salad wasn't good and I'm not sure how it's possible to mess that up, but it was flavorless. The server was kind, but very inattentive, he never asked if we needed anything and how the food was - probably scared to ask because no one would want to eat this garbage. He never refilled our drinks and we had to ask for everything. When we told him that the food was bad, he shrugged and said what do you want me to do- really???? I hate writing bad reviews, but the owners need to take a serious look at the service and food standards if they want to survive. read more

We decided to make a reservation for our 25th wedding anniversary. We visited the venue before it was Sogno and were immediately amazed at the transformation. It is comfortable and welcoming while still elegant and with clean lines. We were greeted immediately upon arrival by James and Stacey, the co-owner and they acknowledged it was our anniversary. We were sat before our reservation scheduled. Our server, Joe was knowledgeable, and attentive. His etiquette was impeccable . While the specials all sounded delicious, my husband and I decided to order off the menu. We skipped appetizers and went for the main course. Kevin ordered the lobster ravioli and I chose chicken Parmesan. They both came out quickly and hot. The presentation was perfect. My husband has been friends with Brian, the co-owner since childhood. He visited us at our table multiple times to be sure we were enjoying ourselves. After dinner, I decided to order an espresso martini as my dessert. However, when the dessert menu came, we couldn't help ourselves and ordered tiramisu and crème brûlée. Both were the best we've ever had. We were not rushed and felt comfortable while enjoying an excellent meal, great company and a pleasant server. If you have not been yet been and you're a local, shame on you. I have eaten here twice now and the food was on point each time. My husband and I sat at the bar the second night the restaurant was open. We had ordered a handful of appetizers and shared them. The vegetable flatbread and seafood salad was amazing. We also ordered meatballs that were out of this world. The weight staff was professional and really went out of the way to make sure we had a great experience. The second time we dined here was for a friends birthday and had a table of eight. Each one of us ordered a different meal, and everyone seemed very pleased. Bites were shared around the table and everything I tasted, was very good. Had dinner with 14 locals last Saturday night. We had a large amount of people and everything was spot on. Service, the meals and the accommodations for such a big crowd was a challenge for any restaurant to manage well, but not for Sogno. Everyone in our group complimented the entire evening. We will be coming back in the very near future. For those who have given poor reviews, I would take their comments with a grain of salt. This restaurant is the same quality that you would find in NYC and Philadelphia. Kudos to Stacy, Brian and chef Graham. Do not stop doing what you are doing. read more

I attended the grand opening night, WOW! The restuarant is absolutely beautiful! Every bite of everything I tried was amazing! The service was spectacular and I couldn't be happier for the new owners! New restaurants are like fledglings. The slightest little screw up can f them forever. And if you think about it, there's a lot to screw up. That said, this newly opened hotspot is a breath of fresh air - at least so far. On a big night where they could have dropped the ball on any number of points, they just plain didn't. I mean a few little easily fixable things that barely mattered, yea, not the best solutions. But like nothing important. On all the major points, these guys pulled off an extremely admirable - to really good - performance. Table ready on time. Waiter as attentive - although finding his way - as could be expected. Good food delivered on time and on point. No food screw ups. Everyone digging their entrees. And this all in the face of an overly packed house. Even the decor - in a not great building - is good. No really bad tables (though drop the faux italinate paintings for the cool, tasteful mirrors you've already placed.) A super welcomed addition to the local food scene for those of us who don't want to go into town and wrestle with the tourist. And quality stuff, more in keeping with Llama and Black Fly but a super loved - much needed - cuisine. Look forward to trying it late night with a 10-11 bar menu with real food in a town where eating after 9 is near impossible. Hats off to the owners who were there working their tails off - I'm cautiously optimistic. I give 5 stars only to world class Michelin starred restaurants and we're 500 miles from those (and I didn't grow up in the day when everyone got a trophy for showing up, screw that.) That said, this is really good food. Made on a high pressure holiday night. Let's hope it stays that way. Theyre close to a 4.5 already and should only get better. Go with confidence but realize they're finding their footing but really good, really trying, and for sure headed in the right direction. Wish them luck. read more
