If you're in Ogunquit and enjoy truly authentic Thai food, this is a "must do"! Some of the best Thai food I've experienced, just be careful on the spice level...the chilies they use can be powerful! The chefs are from Thailand, and the menu represents different regions of the country, which is nice. I'm doing a solo vacation, have been here 3 times already this week, always sitting at the bar, and the bartender/owner Pon is fantastic: friendly, and always recommends delicious menus items to try! Awesome late night Thai. Really great Thai, period. Fresh veggies, great flavors and fast, friendly service. We ordered green curry with tofu and brown rice and pad see ew. I love going to Ogunquit every year and part of the reason is restaurants with a view. I always try different places since a few days is not enough to go all of the restaurants. Last week we tried So Zap in the main part of Ogunquit. I must say they were not as busy and I've seen them be at other times but they acted like they were which is saddening considering the fact we were very hungry. We waited in line for over 20 minutes to be seated although some table were open. The amount of food also does not reflect their prices. Mind you, this is Thai food not American haute Cuisine. I'm glad I went and tried it out. Needless to say So Zap won't be zapping me of my money again! read more

We had a very good meal here. We love Thai food and this place has an authentic taste. Loved the green papaya salad and the Tom Zap soup. By the way, three out of five on their spice meter is serious business! Skip the Crab Rangoon though. They tasted good, but i only tasted cream cheese with a hint of Crab. So Zap was all it is made out to be. The dumplings were only ok, so I started out a bit worried, but the main courses were great! The curry was so good my wife ate it all even though it was spicier than she would normally eat. Solid to great casual Thai food just steps outside of the downtown of Ogunquit. Everything I have had here has been at least good - brussels sprouts are especially memorable as are certain spice focused dishes. Most seating is on the porch so you can walk as visitors walk down Route One to Maine Street or just into the center. read more

I love Thai food, but it can be tricky as a vegetarian since most dishes contain fish sauce. There were only a few items on the menu here that were labeled as being vegetarian but when I inquired further I was told there were several dishes where it would be possible to omit the fish sauce. I had the drunken noodles - the tofu was cooked perfectly and the flavor was excellent. My husband and I also shared the chive dumplings and while I thought the texture was slightly gummy they also had a nice flavor and the sauce that came with them was delicious! read more

My husband and I dined here after seeing so many great Yelp reviews. I had (for the first time) Pad Thai and my husband had the Duck Noodle Soup. Both were extremely delicious! You get the option of how spicy you would like you meal, which is great because I like a medium amount of spice. The service was excellent while we enjoyed our food outside. Simply terrific. Dining is available on a covered porch overlooking the main drag in Ogunquit or inside...both are casual. The food her is simply amazing. I had the shrimp and chicken dumplings and my wife had the Brussels sprouts as appetizers. We would have been happy if those had been the main course - delicious! Then she had the pad Thai and I had the drunken noodles with chicken...again...really incredible flavors, with a touch of heat! Excellent food! I love Thai and every dish seemed to have that little extra something. My wife had drunken noodle which they were kind enough to do with a gluten free sauce for her and I had the Panang curry. Both were amazing! The sticky rice with mango had a slightly salty sauce that complemented the mango's sweetness and tartness! read more
