The heat is numbing but SO TASTY, you can't stop eating it! I had the fried chicken combo which was juicy and had a crunchy flavorful breading that reminded me of Popeyes. You add additional meat for $3.5-4.5, extra carbs (rice, rice noodles, vermicelli, instant noodle) if you aren't full yet. Honestly the portion is quite a lot for one person, I'd recommend sharing it with a friend and take the extra to go. For $15-19, it's one heck of a deal. The "regular" fried chicken this time was a little salty. The "spicy" fried chicken had more of a sczechuan flavor than I remember previously, which I actually really liked. Black pepper Beef - I'm always a bit hesitant about black pepper as a flavor because I'm not too big of a fan on the smell or punch of flavor. But I really enjoyed this dish because the black pepper taste wasn't as pungent as I thought it'd be. Beef was also super soft and not tough to chew. Chicken - my family's favorite. I love their set meals because it comes with a drink for about $17 with tax. When we order take out, it comes out pretty soon within 15 min. There is plenty of seating inside and outside of the restaurant. The only downside that we had when ordering at So Tasty was when we ordered the meal and the delicious kale salad wasn't properly washed. I could taste some dirt and it was a little gritty. The crust is generally a harder crunch. On the other end, cantonese fried chicken uses a mix of corn starch and flour to achieve a lighter and thinner crust, which is more "crisp" than "crunch". So Tasty's rendition is a nice middle ground of both, and the chicken is greatly marinated to offer flavor both on the crust and deep in the pieces of chicken. We came here on a sunday afternoon at around 1 pm. So tasty was very full and there was a waitlist for seating. We waited for about 30 minutes and 2 other parties who came after were seated before us. When we asked why it was due to the size of the parties which seemed fair, but inconvenient. The service was mediocre, but mainly due to the cook time and business. The servers only deliver food, but the orders are placed online from your phone and sent through to the kitchen. You also have an offer to pay via phone as well. The food itself was SO tasty. The fried chicken and french fries were crispy, tasty, and perfectly fried. The inside meat was juicy and tender despite the perfect crisp on the outside. The french fry seasoning was perfection. We also ordered soup with rice and the broth was so flavorful and savory with ample toppings. The location was conveniently located in crossroads.
