D.Pick your Own 3 pcs Combo

Purely evaluating this place on their Chinese fried chicken! Great value - I got the three piece combo that comes with fries and a drink. I was stuffed. I prefer the spicy over the original and like the green tea as the drink. Order in advance if you don't want to wait since they make it fresh.

Finally I get to try their fried chicken here like my first time here back in 2021! My party of 3 got seated immediately since this was during a lunch hour around 11am with almost no tables filled. We decided to get several dishes, including their well-known fired chicken: - Spicy cumin lamb: this appetizer was fire, not literally. The spice was almost nonexistent but it was a nice, chewy texture without the usual gamey taste. - Wonton in chili oil: this was a step up in terms of spice. Fresh, piping hot, and the chili oil paired well with the coating of the wontons. - Basil fried rice: full of basil, seasoned with eggs and what tastes like sesame oil. Great palette cleanser. - Signature fried chicken: we got a mixture of mid wings and thighs to split among the three of us. We got 6 of each so we each got 2 of each kind. Our favorite was the chicken things because of how juicy they were despite usual chicken thighs losing their juiciness compared to mid wings. All of them came out piping hot and had a crunchy outside crisp which was a huge plus. With their fried chicken in particular, you can't go wrong with whatever you choose to get; they're all made fresh and crunchy and this competes with even Korean fried chicken!

SRW special

I haven't been back to this place for years and saw it on SRW and decided to hop in again. We came after 1 and the restaurant is mostly empty but lots of take out and delivery orders. We ordered the $20 lunch deal and got salad, drink, fried chicken thigh, wing and even a fried chicken sandwich!! That's a lot of food so very good deal. I couldn't finish the sandwich. The fried chicken was very good, light and crunchy on the outside, juicy and flavorful in the inside. I ordered the spicy one and it is definitely hot. We enjoyed our meal a lot!

A new must try item on their menu - Chopped pepper hot fish! Folks please try it - halal and delicious to boot :)

Solid spot overall. The restaurant was very clean, the service was good, and the food definitely delivered. Everything came out fresh and hot, and the staff was attentive without being overbearing. But let me talk about the fried chicken for a second....OMG. Crispy, seasoned just right, and cooked perfectly. Easily my favorite thing on the menu and the reason I'll be back. Definitely a strong 4-star experience. If you're looking for good food, a clean space and solid service, this place is worth checking out.

Wow what a great hidden find!! The chicken we ordered was so yummy and juicy, full of breading which we loved. The spice was just right. We also ordered the crab puffs and spicy chili oil cucumber, another delicious set. The service was great and they even packed our leftovers for us! The inside was very clean. Will definitely come back.

So tasty, yup it really was. Kind of pricey but we will definitely be back, even though we don't live anywhere near here! Probably the least exciting was the ear of corn. It was kind of meh and certainly not what I had pictured by the name. We tried lots of different dishes and overall it was all very good. Loved the sauces and the sides but the hero was the chicken. Loved how crispy it is and the flavors were good. HUGE pieces of chicken too. We way over-ordered but it warmed in an air fryer like it was fresh. The only crazy thing that happened, which I did not deduct stars for; while we were enjoying our dinner a staff member decided it was the appropriate time to sit just behind the counter, near the door to the kitchen and cut her nails. YUP, you read that right.

So Tasty is right! The husband heard about this place and had been talking about trying it out. We ordered the must-have item, fried chicken, of course, and a couple of side dishes. The staff was super friendly, and the restaurant was roomy and clean. We went right as they opened on a Saturday morning, so we were pretty much the only ones in there. Now to the food. The chicken was perfectly spiced. We got the spicy chicken, and you can tell it's marinated in spice and just coated with spice on the outside. The tomato brisket soup was delicious. It definitely was a bit sweet from the tomatoes, so if you don't like sweet soup, it's probably not for you. Stir fried green beans with garlic were spot on, and lastly, the intestines were a nice side dish. Ordering intestines can always be a gamble, especially if they aren't cleaned properly. I can happily say they were very clean. I would order all those items again. Highly recommend this place. All the dishes were good and the staff were super nice.

Self explanatory.

I was in the area (renewing car tabs) and just wanted to drive by and check out the location. Then the voice next to me said "why view the location without sampling the chicken". Tough to argue with that logic. We ordered 4 thighs and when they were delivered it looked like a full platter of chicken. Sorry I forgot the "before" picture, but the after picture explains the 5 star review.

Combo 3 piece thigh, full wing and mid with fries
Derrick D.

Was craving chicken and came to this place by placing a doordash pickup, and ended up sitting outside to eat. I finally decided to get the 3 piece chicken with each of thigh, drumstick, full wing. The best piece was thigh then drumstick and then full wing. The waffle fries were decent. The plum drink is unique and alright. Overall the dish is oily and also pricey for 20$+ At the end, i was still hungry so felt this was on the expensive side. There's ample place to sit inside and outside. The chicken was juicy and properly cooked so that's a good thing. Overall it was great for a one time try.

Found a new person on YouTube to watch and discovered So Tasty. On our way there, we realized we've driven past this restaurant countless times. We were seated quickly and ordered via QR code. Ordered the egg tarts, fried rice, two types of fried chicken(spicy and original), and the won ton in chili oil. Fried chicken thigh pieces were HUGE. You could easily share half of a spicy and half an original and be satisfied. The chicken has a crispy shell and is soooo good! The chicken is moist. Basil fried rice was delicious. Loved the won ton in chili oil. Made fried chicken sandwiches with our leftovers. TV in the dining room shows pictures of their popular dishes. I already know what I want for next time. You can order takeout from the computer tablet at the door. Online food delivery available. Clean dining room, outstanding fried chicken and friendly service. Highly recommend!

I was vacationing in Seattle and prior to leaving I wanted to hit up some good spots. I found YouTuber Matthew Norman's channel and he gave a recommendation for So tasty chicken. Now you know I must have really wanted to try it because I didn't take UBER because it is way overpriced in Seattle. I caught the bus lol lol. It's a restaurant in a strip mall. When you are seated you scan the menu on your phone and it takes you to the restaurants page. Ordering was so easy and simple. Now the pricing is kinda high to me but what do I know I'm not from Seattle but seemed kinda overpriced. We ordered fried rice, chicken and the beef brisket soup. The chicken can be ordered by pieces, so we ordered to flats, two whole wings and some chicken thighs all two pieces. The flavor of the rice was very good. I loved the beef brisket soup and the flavor of the chicken was good. That being said I like my chicken fried a little extra crispy so I wish it had been crispier. We also had a strawberry black tea and a can of soda. The total bill was $77 prior to tip and when it was time to pay the lady who took out payment said "Did Matthew send you here ? I told her in a way yes because I saw this place on his channel

Kept hearing good things about their fried chicken, so my bf and I came to try out during last year's Seattle Restaurant Week. For the appetizers, we chose the Dumplings in chili oil and the Spicy Mala Fried Chicken. For the entrée, we got the Chicken Egg Fried Rice. For the fried chicken, we chose 3 Mid Wings and 3 Thighs. For the drinks, we both chose Fruit Tea and we got 2 Portuguese Egg Tarts for dessert. Everything was delicious. The fried chicken was nice and crispy on the outside, and moist and juicy on the inside. My bf really liked it; he said it reminded him of Jollibee's fried chicken. Service was quick and friendly.

I don't need a chef wildly experimenting with my siu mai, or dabbling with my baked hom bow. My analysis of Sun Sui Wah, very nice interior, ok service, solid food. Was it a few dollars more than similar fare in Seattle, yes. But I also didn't have to drive to Seattle, not to mention put up with the street spectacle that now exists in the International District. It gets 5 stars because it delivers as promised.

Service : nonexistent Food: 9/10…read morePrice: standard but not worth for the horrible service. We spent about $600 for a party of 9. Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

ROYAL KITCHEN @ BELLEVUE (crossroads)…read more Parking is pretty tight here, especially on the weekends when it gets super busy. Luckily, we were able to find a spot right out front, so I'd recommend slowly circling around and keeping an eye out for people leaving. I found this spot through Yelp and had been really craving good Chinese food, so I was super excited to finally try it. My family and I came without a reservation and were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was very busy. This place is definitely known for larger parties, there were lots of families and extended families dining together, which really gave it a classic family-style vibe. You order a bunch of dishes and share a little bit of everything, which I love. The staff were really friendly and greeted us right away with complimentary tea. Fun fact: in the mornings, tea is sometimes an extra charge, but in the evening it's free. We ordered a few dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp (which is my go-to order at any Asian restaurant), salt and pepper squid, house special vermicelli noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The vermicelli was a clear noodle dish loaded with different proteins like BBQ pork, squid, and shrimp. Everything had great flavor, but my absolute favorite was definitely the honey walnut shrimp. It was perfectly crispy and delicious. My only complaint is the portion size for the price, it was about $21 for roughly 10 pieces of shrimp, which felt pretty expensive. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for what you're paying. Toward the end of the meal, they treated us to a complimentary papaya soup, which was a light, fruit-based dessert soup and a really nice way to finish. Our total came out to about $80, so it's definitely on the pricier side for Chinese food. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and if you're in the Bellevue area, I'd still recommend stopping by.

CHECK your bill here!!!!!!!!…read more We took our daughters from out of town for Sunday dim sum. Longtime family tradition!! And while we have often gone to the CID In Seattle, for many years and almost exclusively in recent years we have gone here and the previous business at the same location. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the staff is usually always fantastic and they bring the food fast!! Today the service and food was fantastic and ordered so much it almost didn't fit on a 4 top table. We love leftover dim sum! But at the end of the meal they brought me the completed card with a total at the bottom. Didn't look beyond the total before tip and just gave the nice (very young) hostess my card. A server brought back just the two credit card slips and the price was seemingly $20 more than what was presented to me on the service card!?? I politely asked to see the bill again and then a longhgggh wait...... Then a heavily altered card was brought back showing the new total. I was not happy suddenly and asked why it was altered from the first one etc and a big argument from the server began that I didn't proliferate but she kept on and on and could not explain why all the changes by pen and saying that she was honest etc. insisting we "do the math" over and over Now we may have ordered that much food, but I know for a fact that the bill was clean written without alterations and $20 less than the corrected one. But still she couldn't give me a valid explanation for the changes and new total. In my opinion the high school age hostess made a mistake adding up before presenting the total to me and someone else edited it before running my card. If they had just admitted that I would not have been so disappointed. I don't believe that the staff here are dishonest and understand about mistakes but they did not handle it very diplomatically and it was a scene I didn't want to make. But I know that this was not the total presented to me for payment! Take a pic of your service card before sending the credit card to be run!!! It absolutely ruined our family outing and everyone was quiet in the car ride home. Not cool!!

First time, they didn't secure the lid to the bowl of congee and it arrived all over the poor uber driver's car and in the delivery bag. Second time, they served us burnt congee that reeked of chemicals and had little burnt bits in it. Then this time, the congee is absolutely tasteless and they gave us the wrong soy sauce for the shrimp rice rolls. Shrimp rice rolls usually come with a sweet soy sauce, but they always pack you a whole sauce container of regular soy sauce that you won't realize until you pour it over the rice rolls. Sure they might be more reliable if you're dining there; but please don't even bother ordering take out or delivery. It's funny because every time i order congee, it's because I'm so severely hungover and sick and am so desperate for some comfort food. I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He looked through the entire menu and said there weren't many things he could order (listen, people, choose your future SO accordingly if you like sharing big meat dishes). He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking.
