My husband was having lunch here with a coworker so he picked up food for me as well so I can try . Service was really fast, they got the orders out within 10 minutes or less. The place itself is also really nice. They have renovated so it's more like a food hall rather than how it use to look. Parking is also plenty. Food: Duo crispy and boiled chicken and rice - rice was soft but just ok, didn't have that aromatic taste I was hoping for. Chicken wasn't smooth and was kinda dry. The crispy chicken was also not crispy, even after heating it up Salt and pepper fried cartilage -- this was disappointing. I was hoping for at least some meat on the cartilage but it was mostly just batter and bone. Overall, I'm glad to have try it but there's better places nearby for the same price.

    - delicious but super small portion - We ordered a takeout here and the portion is super small for something over $20. However, the chicken (both fried and original) was delicious and the green sauce was a bit spicy but delicious. It's good that we have the option to get Hainan chicken in Bellevue now, but the cp value is too low for me to become a regular.

Food court food getting a 5/5? Yes! This place exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing, hot, fresh, and juicy! Love the sauces they have too. The coconut jelly was good but nothing special. Overall great food for what it is!

Coconut jelly is delicious and fresh in my son's opinion.

We were at the Asian family mart shopping and got hungry. My son and I ordered Hainan Rice chicken combo , curry beef , and coconut jelly from Cocotree chef at the food court . The Hainan Rice lunch box was delicious and well balanced with both tender chicken meats and veggies. We especially loved the coconut jelly desert . It tasted fresh with just right amount of sweetness. Curry beef came with a big portion of beef and it was flavorful. Overall , it was a nice place to have a quick lunch or dinner . I will come back .

Don't know how to say this, but only come here if you like to throw lots of money on terrible, bland food. Everything just tasted "too healthy" in a not good way. Everything just needed a little more flavor or seasoning. Don't get me started about how Hainan chicken rice should taste. I came here excited to get some good Hainan chicken rice because of the reviews hyping it up. It is one of my favorite dishes and I'm always on the search for a good place. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. The rice isn't flavored correctly and it was a bit dry. It was brown and lacked flavor. I was only able to eat the chicken and rice by dunking it in their sweet chilli sauce with each bite. This is something I never do because it hides the subtle fragrant flavors I come to appreciate about Hainan chicken rice. Good hainan chicken rice you don't NEED to add sauces but you CAN to embellish the flavors. The scallion ginger sauce is usually one of my favorites, but they made a bastardized version. They just blended all the ingredients in a blender instead of mincing the ingredients. I don't mind if it tasted right, but it was gross and bitter. We also got the fried chicken rice. Their fried chicken had more flavor than their Hainan chicken, but it was nothing to rave about. The fried buns with condensed milk were mediocre at best. It just tasted bland and soft. They were stingy with the condensed milk. The coconut jelly dessert isn't the famed coconut pudding desserts that have been popular lately. It's hard coconut jello/jelly. It wasn't what I expected, but it might have been the better tasting items out of the things we got. At least it had flavor. Prepare to spend $ on bland food. At least it was "healthy". I think we spent about $ 60 for 2 people: 2 entrees and 2 desserts at a food court. Located at the Asian street food court next to Asian family market. The 2 ladies that worked there were nice and the food was packaged nicely. Sadly, I can't find a good reason to justify coming back. TLDR: expensive bland food that doesn't taste right.

The fried mushroom is delicious! Crispy and flavorful. Can be a little too oily if you eat too much. The combo chicken box was also good and great value for the money. Service was fast with plenty of places to sit. The available tables were very clean (hopefully people keep it that way). The strawberry milk drink was just ok.

Stopped by AFM while shopping and decided to try this place. Didn't expect much since good Hainanese chicken is hard to find around Seattle-Bellevue, but I was genuinely impressed. The chicken was tender with a nice crisp, and the green sauce was spot on. We got the chicken rice and soup--great flavor, texture, and portion. The soup especially stood out. Also tried the coconut jelly, which I've been craving for ages--it did not disappoint. A hidden gem! If anything, the wait was a bit long (probably due to online orders), and I wish they were more generous with the sauce. Still, I'll definitely be back.

Great fast food Asian place in Bellevue. Serving is great and price is reasonable. Tried their classic hainan chicken and bento served with rice and side of cucumbers. Very nice presentation and clean.

Do yourself a favor and skip this place, got the Haikou Beef Brisket Rice, it has zero flavor, as if they boiled the gray beef with water. What a wasted of money. Check the other reviews, where there's smoke there's fire.

Even though I really wanted to love this place, this place was definitely overhyped; I'd say it's about the same level as A Ma's, which I also didn't enjoy. It might be because the place has gone super viral as we ended up waiting 80 minutes on a Saturday night, so quality control might be more difficult at this point. Tip: the iPad will say the wait is 30 minutes, do not trust the iPad. Hainan Chicken was tasteless and overcooked. The texture was way too chewy and was my least favorite preparation of the night. Gai Tod (fried) was better with a crispy outside, but still a tad overcooked. Gai Yang (grilled) was definitely the best version of chicken and is solid enough if you live nearby, but definitely not driving out of your way or waiting for. Rice wasn't super fluffy and I just prefer garlic rice over ginger. The chicken stock is probably the best part of the rice plates. Upside is the joint is definitely family owned and they do their best to provide good service in spite of the chaos. They'll take your order before you get seated, so the food comes out fast and are generally very sweet when checking in.

My group of 4 did get seated very fast since we came at almost exactly 5pm before anyone else showed up. This review is after the establishment removed their khao man gai from the menu and instead became a khao soi-exclusive place, save for some appetizers and drinks. Their menu is now on a QR code and you have to order through there for your food to come to you. For the food: - I got the braised beef khao soi curry broth. It's savory, creamy, awesome and has a better spicy kick with some chili oil. The fried shallots add an extra crunch throughout the dish, and egg noodles are al dente and easy to chew. I ate this one really fast but was overall extremely satisfied. - One of my friends got their seared duck kaho soi. He said the broth overtakes the duck meat taste; otherwise the amount of spice was superb and he didn't need to add chili oil. - For one of my friends who is vegan, she was pleasantly surprised; her tofu kao soi broth was actually very flavorful when normally most broths in other vegetarian soups are bland. She didn't need any other condiments; the whole dish was already perfect and flavorful! - We all then split a passion fruit pie which was is small but relatively sweet. The passion fruit tart was already sweet on its own though the graham crackers somehow balance everything despite also being sweet. Even after several years this place still hits with big crowds! You owe it to yourself to come here at least once, whether you've had their khao mai gai the first time or not! They don't fail when it comes to that or their khao soi dishes.
