For my 100th Yelp review I decided to write about something other than food. To me, non-food reviews are a little suspect because you wonder, did the salesperson insist on a 5-star Yelp review at the conclusion of the sale? I assure you that here, there was none of that. Having shopped at Ferguson and Pacific Sales , I think Synder Diamond has: - the best showroom - the most informed and knowledgeable salespeople; and - the ability to compete on pricing There's no substitute for doing your own research, but whether you know a lot or next to nothing, having someone knowledgeable to talk to allows you to make better decisions. read more

Like most people, my home remodel was a nightmare. The only part that was easy was when it came to Snyder Diamond. Kit was very patient with me and gave me all the information I needed to make the right choices for my family. And I admit that I am not an easy shopper. I like to know all my options before I commit to any purchase big or small. Also, he is really great at following up. I never got the same level of expertise or assistance at Home Depot or Loewe's. All of our appliances are from Snyder Diamond, and it all started with Kit. He's the first person I contact if I need anything home related. In fact, I have referred all my friends and neighbors to this store! read more

Kit Phun is the man! He was very knowledgeable and patient in helping us pick out all of our appliances and bathroom fixtures. The sale doesn't end after we pay for the items. Kit follows up to make sure our remodeling project is still on schedule to ensure the proper delivery time for our appliances. Great customer service! read more

This review is specifically for Kit Phun, who is simply the best. We had walked into Snyder Diamond expecting only to window shop, but met Kit who was able to help us outfit our bathroom with the look we wanted within our budget! Then, whenever we needed urgent specs for our contractor, he was sending us the info before we even got off the phone with him. This is the prompt kind of help you need when working on any remodeling project. Kit was so helpful and easy to work with that we had to go back to him to outfit our kitchen and laundry room, too. Time and time again, he has come through for us. Always a pleasure to work with, professional, and extremely knowledgable, we highly recommend Kit and will definitely work with him again as future projects unfold. read more

Kit Phun is seriously the best. We are currently remodeling our house and he made everything so painless. Very informative, to the point, and gave us everything we needed. They stock some great product lines and Kit always knew what we should go for. He didn't tell us just to get the expensive things. This is now our go to for everything in our home. We got everything in our kitchen, bathrooms, master bath, doors, you name it!! Thank you Kit! We are so excited to see our home complete. read more

Beautiful showroom and retail shop. We needed a bunch of parts for our Grohe fixtures, and the two guys behind the counter knew exactly what was requested. I'm always impressed with knowledgeable and professional people. We were in and out in 10 minutes! read more

We went to Snyder-Diamond in Pasadena just before Christmas. We were greeted and we said we wanted to browse. So we browsed their extensive kitchen displays. Very impressed. After a while we were attended to by Jason Chen. He answered our questions and educated us thoroughly. He gave us an estimate and never gave any pressure whatsoever. It wasn't until February did we decide to buy. I knew I wanted to return to Jason's care. We even upgraded our decisions. Jason was very accommodating and gracious. Gave us great pricing. He ordered everything perfectly and all was installed by their recommendation, Accurate Appliance Installations in Burbank. We couldn't be happier. Thank you Jason. read more

I recently took my father and his wife here to do some shopping for their new bathroom. They had a great selection of products and brands that I had actually heard of. Let's face it, i don't spend a lot of time learning brands of faucets and bathroom hardware, so to see brands that I have actually heard of was nice. Nice big showroom. Jason was very helpful and didn't show them anything they weren't interested or could afford. Their house has a lot of older and antique furniture, but they wanted a more modern feel in the bathroom and the selection they had was perfect for what they were looking for. They actually did find exactly what they wanted and they were able to stay within budget, which if you've ever redecorated a room, you'd know that that can be a real challenge. 5 Stars for Synder-Diamond!! read more

Order was postponed twice and slowed up the construction process. No explanation, apologies or updates. Unacceptable for the price paid for the product. read more

We purchased an older home in Westlake Village and began a remodel. I called Snyder Diamond Santa Monica (due to their excellent reputation) and had the good fortune to have Patrick Gunn, Appliance Specialist help me out. We purchased a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Viking oven, Viking dishwasher and Maytag washer and dryer. Patrick sent the installer to our home prior to purchase to make sure the new appliances would fit. Upon delivery, it was discovered the dishwasher handle stuck out too far and would not work. Snyder Diamond honored the mistake, picked up and delivered a new dishwasher that would fit properly. I feel they handled the situation professionally and honorably. I would recommend both Patrick Gunn and Snyder Diamond for your appliance purchases. read more

Snyder Diamond has always helped us on our home projects. Kit Phun was extremely helpful in getting us exactly what we needed and also helping us find a better alternative to a fixture, when we realized the order was going to take longer than expected. This saved us time and money in the long run! Bridget O. read more

I found the staff here extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The guy that helped my wife and myself had been there 12 years. He gave us insight on differences between the various models; insight we would not of thought about ourselves. Prices are not posted, but you can shop around and they will match or beat anyplace. We bought all our kitchen appliances here, and they beat every price, except internet prices. They also provided free delivery. Their inventory is mostly medium to high-end. Very pleased. read more

Great place to get everything I needed for a bathroom remodel. Great variety and countless options. Best of all, Teresita was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. She greeted me enthusiastically and made sure to understand my specific needs and preferences. She made recommendations based on a few abstract bits of information I gave her. I am by no means the most educated person when it come to remodeling a home but Teresita figured things out with me and I really appreciate that. I also appreciate that I did not feel pressured to buy from Snyder Diamond (although I did). read more

We purchased whole set of kitchen equipment. We found the staff to be courteous and knowledgeable. They worked with us on timing of delivery and everything as we would need to hold shipping for for weeks. We are happy with the $10K worth of equipment we purchased. We will definitely recommend you visit Snyder Diamond! read more

Okay, I have to giggle - I never knew Syder-Diamond had the word "discount" in their name. It certainly doesn't belong there! My experience with Snyder Diamond over the years has led me to this approach - look here, buy elsewhere. They have nice displays of a wide variety of plumbing fixtures, bath wares and high-end appliances. but no one is ever interested in helping you and the prices aren't very good. One example - I was remodelling a small bathroom this last year, I needed a countertop, sink, medicine cabinet and faucets. I went into S-D with my kids and bored them silly looking over stuff (it was for their bath). We were there 20 minutes and no one offered any help or information. They had everything we wanted in the store. My girls fell for the silestone countertops and I went up to the desk, thereby annoying one of the salespeople, asking for help with counters. He immediately passed me on to someone else, who "did counters". She immediately blew me off by saying they had a minimum counter square footage (I only needed a vanity top) and therefore couldn't give me a quote. No one ever asked me if I needed help with anything else. So.. highly irritated, I went home, found a local source for the silestone counters, found a web source for the Delta faucets, called around for the Kohler sink, found a web source for the Robern medicine cabinet. Honestly, I'm kind of an easy sell - I'm tired and don't have a lot of free time. If ANYONE at S-D had even tried, they would have been able to sell me about $2,000 of bathroom stuff on the day I was in. But they didn't - and I saved a bunch of money because of it. This isn't a one-off, it happens every time I have a project - I go into S-D (it's close), look at stuff, try to get help, get pissed and leave. I did actually buy something there once - my Meile dishwasher, 8 years ago. But even with an actual purchase (I knew what I wanted going in, no sales required) their customer service wasn't great and they don't sell parts or service appliances, so I didn't see any real benefit from buying there. Snyder Diamond is well located, nicely set out and has great stuff. But I'm damned if I know how they stay in business if everyone else does what I do! read more

We've passed by this place numerous times and finally decided to stop by as I happen to be looking for a washer and dryer. I was very disappointed with the customer service. There were several associates when I walked in and none of them acknowledged or asked me if I need help. I finally ran into an associate who asked if I needed help. I started asking him about the different brands (reliability, etc.) but he was of no help. He simply said they are all the same (and anyone who do their research knows not all washing machines are created equal) and that his customers never had any problems with any of the brands. He also can't help answer questions on size/space requirements. He adviced me to find the cheapest deal during black friday but then proceeded to tell me that they do not offer deals on black friday because this is not how they attract customers and that they offer high end appliances and that washer/dryer are their low end/cheaper items. Unfortunately the condescending remarks left a bitter taste, I will not be considering this place when we do our bigger renovations nor will I recommend this place to anyone. read more

I've been in the store 3 times. All 3 times, not one person asked if they could help me. There were sales people standing around talking to each other but not one of them asked if I needed help. Their loss. I went to PIRCH and bought everything (including high-end professional appliances) for a new kitchen and bath. There is no comparison. This place needs to step up. read more

The five stars is for my one day of experience thus far. I read the reviews and went in with zero expectations of being helped. Since I wanted to look around first I didn't think that would be a problem. But shortly after my arrival, Jason Chen found me and was very patient answering all of my questions and giving great advice. I am in the beginning phases of planning a new kitchen do didn't but anything today, but if anyone needs help or recommendations, I highly recommend Jason. Otherwise, the size of the showroom was great. I only looked at kitchen appliances, but from my brief glance, it looks like they have extensive choices of fixtures as well. read more

I'm actually quite shocked that I'm writing a 1 star review for Snyder Diamond. Despite their great selection and beautiful showroom, we received very poor customer service and long story short had to wait almost 2 months for our dishwasher. Part of this was due to delays from Bosch, but Snyder Diamond didn't communicate or handle this well. To begin with, they didn't measure our dishwasher space or even bother to ask. We asked about this but were told that "THEY'RE ALL THE SAME." And it turns out they're NOT. So that caused a further delay. Snyder Diamond did not take accountability for this and instead kept trying to blur this in with the Bosch delays. Both are separate and added to the delay when combined. We spoke with the General Manager Brian a few times, but at most he provided only a $50 reduction on a $1000 dishwasher and weekly voicemails w/ updates on the status from Bosch which we had to insist on. In total, you go to Snyder Diamond because they're the appliance experts and that was unfortunately not illustrated to us. Then great customer service could have recovered this, but instead fell short. And then last but not least, the GM could have saved us as customers and helped to course correct, but he also fell short. All in all, a very unfavorable experience. read more

Service/Salesperson is prompt but they feel like a car salesmen at a luxury car dealership. So don't expect to be assisted, you will be sales pitched. Also, not a lot of products are in stock, 'need to ship from another state, want to pay extra for expedited delivery?' Finally, no price label on the products, if the salesperson likes you, they give you a fair price. read more

Kit Phun is a rock star. Patient, thorough and well-versed in all the product, he has helped us pick and purchase three new bathrooms and full kitchen. Delighted. read more

Recently redid my kitchen and bathroom with all high end appliances (Thermador, Rohl, etc.). Did my due diligence checking prices online and a few shops like PIRCH in Glendale. Kit Phun beat them all without haggling. Took care of me from order to delivery and beyond. Months after install I had a minor manufacturer issues with some of the equipment and Kit took care of it with one phone call. Really top notch service and pricing. 1000% would recommend to anyone on the market to purchase appliances and bathroom products. Buy with confidence knowing you are getting great pricing through a rep that stands by products and will take care of you. read more

I underwent complete renovation on my house. With the 4 bathroom renovation, I completely trusted Lin Chen to provide his professional opinion on production selection. He was so knowledgable and patient. His years of experience really showed. Remodeling can be a stressful process but Lin made the process much easier for my husband and I. Great selection, best service! We've done several remodels (2 bathrooms, kitchen) over the last 8 years and Kit Phun has provided excellent service for each one. Prices can't be beat (we research this extensively) and neither can his knowledge base on the latest products. He's always happy to help before, during, and after the sale. read more

Great job by parts dept today. They took the time to find me the perfect small item for a fixture. I first tried George's Pipe and Plumbing Supply in Pasadena where I originally bought the fixture and spent thousands. George's was rude and tried to sell me the wrong part (and they knew it) because they didn't have the right one. read more

I can't say enough good things about the customer service. I had a big problem with a built in refrigerator that was still under warranty. The parts were not in stock and in the meantime we had a frig and freezer that were not cooling properly. Brian and Raymond took care of the problem immediately. I couldn't be happier with the outcome! I will never shop anywhere else for appliances!! Snyder Diamond rocks! read more

There is a particular employee who I would like to recognize here: Robert, who helped me with my kitchen sink order. He was friendly and courteous and took the time to find the exact model that I wanted. When I changed my mind he was able to assist me with the revision without complaint or "attitude". He is a person who truly practices "customer service". read more

Lovely showroom and polite, friendly service, though sometimes they seem to be unaccountably busy elsewhere. Good quality products, though not bargains, except that I had recently moved to neighborhood, so I got a good discount, 20%, I think. I bought a freestanding cast iron enameled tub here and am very happy with it. They also sold me the filler and handheld sprayer. Delivered only to my garage, because for some reason not allowed to take into house. Plumbers had to do that. read more

Remodeling is generally a bit stressful! However, for the most part, we've had a terrific experience and one of the big reasons is Kit Phun! I recently bought a new gas range and convection microwave from Snyder Diamond in Pasadena. It was a great experience, and Snyder Diamond is now my go to store for home appliances. First of all, the salespeople are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Second, the prices are very good and beat pretty much all competitors at the end of the day. Lastly, great customer service. My range was delivered and the bottom oven drawer was slightly warped. Brian (the manager) and his team at Snyder Diamond were all over it - they dealt with the manufacturer and within 15 minutes I was getting a brand new replacement range - no hassle, no wasting of my time. Terrific experience - old school customer service! read more

I am so glad and happy with the services provided to us by Lin Chen, their Bath Specialist. He helped us out from beginning to the end of our need to get the right fixtures and vanity for our remodeled bathroom. He saved us time and delay and helped us processed our returns without any hassle. He explained the pros and cons of fixtures and bath items we plan to buy. Overall, he simplified things for us so that our project would be completed on schedule. I would gladly refer him to our friends. read more

Kit Phun and Joe Casas at Snyder Diamond's Pasadena office were key to the success of a major kitchen and bath remodel. Their expertise, friendly and helpful approach were above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. That was nearly two years ago and subsequent post-sale service has lived up to what we have now come to expect from then and their co-workers. Truly a first-class operation that stands head and shoulders above anything a "big box" store could ever offer. read more

Overall good place to look for almost everything when designing your home. However, even though the selection is large there are some smaller boutique stores that might have that specific look your looking to find. The prices are on the high side but the quality is as well. read more

I bought a new shower valve with handles, spent almost $850.00 with tax. Have my plumber here, and it seems like there are 2 small nipples missing from the unit to make it an 8" on center handle spread. The plumber bought some copper adapters, and has been working to to resolve it for over 6 hours. I called to talk to the sales rep; waited for the operator to put me through, and got his voicemail. I left a message as to the urgency, but never got a call back. I now have a second plumber here, and things aren't working yet. Frustrated as it took over 11 weeks to get the items, and I relied on an experienced sales rep to order a complete package, and now can't get a call back. read more
