    Swiss American burger

Used to go to the original Greenville location in college. Would get nachos, cheddar fries, and a Swiss American burger nearly every time. Came here today- tasted like old times! Still amazing!

The ambience isn't anything fancy, but the food is portioned well for its price. I paid around $15 for my burger and my table split cheese fries. Here's what I thought of the food: Burger: Soft and fluffy brioche bun was the perfect pick to go along with a hearty patty and fresh vegetables. Crispy onion rings brought it all together as a satisfying bite that you'd want from a guilty pleasure burger on a weekend. Fries: Melty Wisconsin Cheddar with an assortments of toppings made this an indulgent dish to have with the burger. These came with ranch so definitely on the heavier side, but satisfying. Service was nice and attentive. I would go here with friends for live sports, cheap brews, and a hearty meal but probably would not go out of way on my own to eat here.

Absolutely always amazing cheese fries with all of the toppings. Such a staple of Snuffer's & a childhood classic.

They make a damn good burger. Onion rings tasted incredible with a batter I haven't seen at any other places. Was able to seat myself with no wait at all. My waitress Keira was just amazing and took very good care of us. Would definitely recommend for a nice lunch or dinner in a pinch.

A long time ago, one of the locations was famously "Haunted" so I was a little disappointed that the swinging doors were gone. But the food was delicious and our server was great!

I really enjoyed the American cuisine here--great food and a nice atmosphere overall…read more I ordered the French onion soup and the Reuben eggrolls. The French onion soup seems to be popular here, and as soon as I saw that buttery-looking pastry puff baked on top, I knew I had to order it! It was definitely hearty, with plenty of onions (which I love). However, it was a bit saltier than I prefer. I do wish there were an option to substitute the onion soup with a chowder, like clam or corn chowder. The Reuben eggrolls were surprisingly good! I'm used to traditional Asian eggrolls, so I really liked this creative twist. The house-smoked pastrami, sauerkraut, and melted Gruyère cheese worked so well together. They tasted amazing with the spicy Russian dipping sauce (which I appreciated wasn't too spicy). It was such a flavorful and memorable dish! I'm glad I gave it a try.

Warm wood tones, beautiful lighting, and that perfect upscale-yet-cozy feel make the whole place feel special. The location is ideal too -- easy to get to and surrounded by that lively Shops at Legacy energy without any of the chaos. But the food? Next level. The elk tacos were straight-up fantastic -- perfectly seasoned, tender elk, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of heat. I could have eaten a second order without hesitation. Then came the chicken fried steak, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, golden crust, juicy and flavorful meat, and that classic creamy gravy that tastes like it was made with love. Every bite was pure comfort food elevated. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, yet still warm and welcoming. If you're in Plano and want a restaurant that nails both the food and the atmosphere, Haywire is it. I'm already planning my next visit. Hands-down 10/10. It's got that Texas feel to it, but cleaned up a bit. Comfortable, but still a little polished. The food was really solid across the board. You know how brunch can sometimes just be... fine? This wasn't that. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about it. Good seasoning, cooked right, and just enough creativity without overdoing it. It still felt like brunch, just done properly. Drinks were great too. Not over-the-top, just well-made and easy to enjoy. Definitely the kind of place where one turns into two without much convincing. Service was smooth--friendly, attentive, but relaxed. Nobody hovering, nobody rushing you out. Just a good flow to the whole meal. We ended up sitting there longer than we planned, just hanging out and enjoying it, which probably says the most. If you're in Frisco and want a brunch spot that actually feels worth going to, Haywire's a safe bet.
