Came to the bar on a Tuesday to have a quick drink and order food Togo. I sat down and it took 12 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. Keep in mind there are 10 tables in the whole restaurant and I saw at least 5 servers/bartenders walk by and pretend I did not exist. Also a manager sitting at a table 5 feet away from me that seemed to be ignoring me as well. Then after I finally ordered it took the bartender 9 minutes to make my drink (I ordered a margarita). I am a bartender myself so I would not be mad if she was busy, however, it seemed like she was literally just staring at her hand instead of making my drink. My Togo steak was ready before my drink??? I know this is an Outback but I'm very disappointed in the attentiveness and care that the servers and manager on duty lacked tonight. Do better. Until about a year ago when this brand new location opened,I hadn't been to an Outback in 20 years . Tonight I just wanted to get a decent meal without cooking so Outback came to mind. The Aussie 3 course meals at bargain prices caught my eye. So,for $14.99 I choose a Bloomin Burger,House salad and cheesecake. My nod to healthy eating was the broccoli instead of fries. It was a lot of food. The burger is substantial and comes with a generous layer of bloomin onion petals. The meat is cooked to your liking with a side choice. The side salad was crisp and delicious. I took the cheesecake home and enjoyed it later in the evening. Overall I'd say my experience was good and satisfied my need to dine out with spending a fortune. Our visit to Outback Steakhouse in Allen was a solid 2.5 stars. It was Friday, early evening. There wasn't a line to wait to be seated so we were seated rather quickly. That's when it went downhill. After about 15 minutes, we were greeted at our table by Juan. Juan wasn't our server but he noticed we hadn't been seen yet and offered to bring our drinks, bread, and find our server. Our server was Ericka B. She was a bit lackluster, so say the least. She got one order wrong, charged us more, and then offered to fix the charge once we brought it up. She never checked on our table or offered refills on drinks. She did, however, take my plate before I was done eating. So I paid for food I didn't get to finish. The food itself was phenomenal. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the broccoli and asparagus were perfectly steamed. I'd definitely go back for the food, but the service wasn't worth my time. read more

WE give every restaurant 2 shots at us before we write them off! You have had your 2!I swear if I couldn't cook a burger to the customer required tastes, I'd take it off the menu! Not once or twice Missed on the third time too. They offered us coupons and buy the garbage we had. Very nice experience at this location. I'm usually very satisfied with Outback no matter the location. Our waiter, Juan was very professional. There was a hiccup with our order as the cook put sautéed onions on my steak but was supposed to be on my partners. They immediately sent it back and made me a fresh delicious ribeye in which the manager delivered to me with an apology. The smoked old fashioned was made properly which is always a plus. I used to go to Outback a many moons ago, but have not been to an Outback since I moved to Texas 15 years ago. I stopped by the Outback Steakhouse in Allen with my daughter, and we had a feast fit for a couple of hungry rugby players. I ordered the filet with broccoli and a loaded potato, and she had shrimp--well, she ordered shrimp, but she also helped herself to a chunk of my steak like a true apex predator. Can't blame her, though--it was cooked to perfection, tender enough that I half expected it to thank me for eating it. The shrimp? Apparently, it was so good my daughter considered ordering another round, or possibly moving to Australia to live among the prawns. The service was top-notch too--friendly, fast, and no one called me "mate" ironically. Look, this isn't some hoity-toity steakhouse where you have to pretend to know what a "béarnaise reduction" is, but it is a fantastic spot for a quick, delicious meal that won't disappoint. I'll start with them running out of mango for our drinks, it taking 10-12 mins to get our sweet teas and my daughters sprite.our server did not know how to properly do her job. I saw multiple servers standing around and blocking the door way to the restaurant. Our server forgot my Mac and cheese And almost forgot my mother's bake potato. I still tipped her well but she just seemed out of it or not interested in our table. If management seees this I did not enjoy my experience overall but I want to say thank you for the very nice lady who ran all the food she was lovely and gave us silverware when our own server forgot. I was really happy when this Outback (1995 Central Expy N, Allen, TX 75013) went live - I am a fan of Outbacks in general but these guys take it to another level. First-the food. I have been trying to lose weight (so what are you doing at eating at Outback?). Their 11oz center cut sirloin is only 520 calories! I pair it with 2 servings of asparagus when I am behaving or a Caesar salad and a cup of Tasmanian chili when I am misbehaving. The steaks and sides have come out perfect every time - well seasoned and tasty. This is pretty much the best diet food ever! I should also highlight what an excellent value the wine and beer are at the Outback. Getting a 9 oz pour of 19 Crimes Shiraz for less than $12 is pretty hard to beat - the same can be said for their $5 beer or their $7 cocktails. Their decor is excellent - with interesting and entertaining art - an excellent place to eat some great food. Their service is also outstanding. From opening the door as you approach, to finding you the seating that you like, they do right by you. The wait staff just do a great job making sure you get what you want and have no problems with adjusting things if there was some miscommunication. I have also had a number of conversations with the general manager who makes a point to greet you and ask if everything is going OK. The biggest problem that I have with this Outback is that my wife is reluctant to ask me where I want to go eat - she knows what I will say (the Outback, of course!). read more

Took my dad (84 yr old retired Air Force veteran) on Veterans Day for a his free lunch. Plano location. We've always gone to just closed - so 1 st time at one. Full house - they were clearly overwhelmed with the full house and short staffed for the crowd. I love Outback Steakhouse so I couldn't wait to try this location out in Allen, TX. This location is smaller than the other locations I've visited but the customer service was amazing! They don't accept reservations but you can call ahead for a reservation. As always, the brown bread has my heart and the kookaburra wings never miss. Tip: get them fried harder/longer for the optimal taste. . I ordered a filet and lobster tail with a loaded sweet potato. It was delicious but the portions were small. Our waitress was named Danica and she was so attentive, friendly, & she had an amazing personality! Shes literally one of the best servers I've had in a long long time!
