The best quesadilla by far I have ever had from a restaurant and I have eaten at lots of restaurants in my 50 plus years on this earth! I just happened to stop in the Forney location this week after a doctors visit and was I ever surprised when I took my first bite. I got the brisket one to go and seriously could not stop eating it, I almost pulled over just to savor this thing, it was awesome. Check my reviews and I don't say any restaurant food is awesome.. this place is well worth the drive you won't be disappointed. I just told my wife I am giving this five stars and she goes.. you Never give fives stars. I usually make my own quesadillas as most places just throw some cheese and some tough chicken and slap it on the flattop and cook the crap out of it. DILLAS really are the dillas king! You have to go. I live almost an hour away and am trying to figure out a reason to head to forney again just for dillas. I may try McKinney as I am sort of in between both. Dillas is one of my favorite quick places to get a bite to eat. Being a new place to me and also being particular about my quesadillas, I figured why not check this place out. They delivered! Sometimes I only get a chance to grab a bite and go. I don't want to be stuffed and unable to resume my daily obligations and Dillas gives me just what I need. It's light and filling and it makes me happy! I usually go with the Lone Star Quesadilla, which has red onion, cilantro, cheese, brisket and their barbecue sauce. Pretty good quesadillas at this location. It's the same as all the others you've visited. Staff was friendly, masked, and food came out fairly fast. We ate our dillas on the front porch...six or seven outdoor tables, so fairly easy to distance. The only downside was no option to get a doggy dilla for our lab. Best Quesadillas in the DFW (and best I've ever had - and I eat a lot of quesadillas!!!). The store itself is inviting and has a very open layout. We came on a Sunday during lunch time around 1145am. We were a little confused by the menu at first but that was just due to having a hungry 3 year old in tow who wanted food immediately! We would have been better suited going straight to the kids menu for him. All the quesadillas have creative names and you can always create your own. We opted for the pizzadilla for the little one and my wife and I shared a Hot Hatch. Don't worry the hot hatch is not super spicy, just a minor kick. We got take out and everything survived our drive home just fine. The fries were delicious (we may or may not have eaten most of our toddler's kids meal fries) and I may have also taken a bite of the pizza Dilla. The pizza dilla was a good portion for a kiddo - 2 pieces stuffed generously with pepperoni and cheese. It even came with ranch for dipping and who doesn't love ranch?!?! The Hot Hatch gorilla style (think whole quesadilla instead of a half - 4 pieces instead of 2) was plenty big to share. It came with a jalapeño ranch - think chuys but better - that went perfectly with the dilla. Couple of things struck me about this experience: 1) the Dillas all survived a drive home with no issues - no small feat since I can't make my homemade Dillas make it to the dinner table without falling apart! 2) Everything was made to order. We waited for a few minutes but it was just the right amount of time to know our food wasn't sitting under a heat lamp. 3) The ingredients. No idea if they use higher end meats but everything tasted like quality and was seasoned very well. None of the chicken was dry or chewy. 4) The owners have their story on the wall. Read it. You will appreciate it much more. The only feedback I have to make this place better is to have them open one closer to Dallas. If I only knew someone in power at this place to make this happen, my life would be complete! read more

Came in on opening day. It was busy, but not packed. They had ample staff on hand. All the employees were friendly. We frequent the Plano location so we are pretty familiar with the menu. The decor is bright and cheery colors. Our favorite part of the restaurant is all the Napoleon Dynamite references! "Knock it off, Napoleon! Make yourself a dang quesadilla!" I had the hatch green chili quesadilla. It had chicken, bacon, Hatch Green Chile Peppers, And Cheese with a JALAPEÑO RANCH dipping sauce. It was A-MAZ-Ing! My son had the Gordo quesadilla! Y'all I just waited 40 minutes for the BEST Buffalo Ranch Quesadilla I've ever had in my life. Let's break this down.... The crisp- y'all it's so crispy and so good. Fast serve, good place for a casual and quick lunch! Had coupons for a free regular quesadilla and a side of Queso and chips. The regular quesadilla is 2 huge triangles, so was not that filling. The gorilla quesadilla is the next bigger size consisting of 4 huge triangles. I ordered the bluebonnet and added chicken to it. I got the order to go and it came out within 5 minutes of placing the order. The Queso came in a tiny cup with a lot of chips. The bluebonnet had lots of veggies and was tasty, but could have used more cheese in it. The side of Queso was really flavorful and very thick and creamy. The chips were not overly oily and paired well with the Queso. I also got an extra side sauce called the guac (guac mixed with tomatillo sauce). Pretty good combination. I was very excited to visit the new location as we have been to the Plano and Frisco locations several times. Came in and several staff members were at the counter arguing about who was supposed to be doing what. I waited in line for several minutes while they sorted it out. Most of the tables were dirty, the floors hadn't been swept, and the kitchen was disgusting. No leadership in sight. Being the good Texan that I am when I found out there was a place called Dillas, well, I had to try it out. Sadly I was not met by a large costumed armadillo, nor was there a road kill theme. And that's the only reason I can't give Dillas 5 stars, well that and a couple of small issues that are all most likely related to being a new location. First, the ambiance, (I just like using that word) it's loud. Theres a pretty good sized opening between the kitchen and the dining area, add that to the music and it was hard to carry on a conversation. So if you're looking to discuss the differenece between the african swallow and a European swallow you might not find it so easy, but if you're looking to put your lip reading skills to good use then this place is perfect. Second, the service, there were a lot, I mean a lot of people working, it felt like there may have been some training going on so it was pretty chaotic, but there is not a bad thing I can say about the employees and their attitudes. They were friendly and fast and made the process simple, all with a smile. Third, the food, we had the Gordo and the Fluffy, if you knew me in person those names would be even funnier. Anyways, the quesadillas are good, they are not your normal quesadillas at all, but they were very tasty. I wont bore you with the details of the ingredients, thats why they have a menu, but I can say I walked away full and satisfied. My only negative on the food is the queso is kind of bland, and you know down here the two things we judge pretty heavy are the salsa and the queso, that almost knocked it down to three stars. But the service saved them. Finally, I would definitely recommend Dillas for a family meal but not for a date night. read more

We walked in and stood at the counter for about 2mins before anyone greeted us. There were three female employees around the cash register. Finally, one asked what we would like to order after getting our food. It was okay. A bit pricey for what you get. After two chooses of add-ons everything is extra. The give you small 1-2oz containers for sauce. My husband got the fluffy gorilla quesadilla it was $15.49 (not worth it) taste was alright more plain than expected. He ordered the jalapeno ranch as his sauce (best part of both meals). I did a build with chicken, mushrooms and cilantro. 6.99 (not worth it.) looks better than it taste. read more
