DOUBLE OLD FASHION and Cajun fries

I tried the double old fashion and the smashed burger and they were both very delicious. The cajun fries and the chilli cheese fries were also good. I really loved their vegan chipotle sauce. I love how clean and nice the place was. I also loved that their soda fountain produced small ice pieces (so random but I enjoyed it). The food is a little but pricey. But taste wise I loved it.

Super solid loaded fries! I enjoyed them and would gladly get it again! The burger was good but not a standout for me and seemed a little on the small side

Very cool interior vibe and friendly greeting when we entered. Perused the menu board and asked a couple question and placed our order. They said a combo had enough fries to share so we got a combo and one additional single burger Fries are HANDCUT! And dang delicious! Bravo for not using ordinary frozen fries! Burgers have tasty beef - properly smashed with lacy edges - the balance of this burger was perfect - nothing was over powering. The buns are soft potato Buns that hold up because the burger is not oversauced. Every bite was delicious The woman and the counter and the gentleman cooking were very nice There is some outside seating and a nearby parking garage made parking easy - it was just a short walk

Triple Vegan Smash Burger... I'm not crying over an amazing burger... You are!! Can I just say I'm grateful for Smashed in every way for going the extra mile to bring thoughtful plant-based options to their menu and customers that include the exact options as their traditional style smash burgers and whether your vegetarian/vegan or an omnivore you should definitely explore their single, double, triple and great style.s Don't forget the fries, fountain drinks and all the great things at Smashed Burbank. The prices are beyond reasonable and probably the best deals you'll find anywhere on smashed burgers or burgers in general. Under $10 for single vegan or non. Typically get food to go here or deliver because I'm usually heading home or to the AMC, but definitely recommend enjoying a sit down on their patio or inside. The inside is cozy and colorful, but limited seating. Good lighting, colorful decor and great service every time I've been. You can find Smashed on San Fernando Blvd in Downtown Burger between Olive (Ave) and Orange Grove (Ave). Local street parking, garage parking or easy access to various Burbank and LA Metro bus connections. Easy walk up for locals and people exploring the area. Free Wi-Fi. Clean restrooms. Family and kid friendly. Pups and dogs allowed. Open everyday at 11am until 11pm or until Midnight Thursday through Saturday. Let's get some SMASHED.

I'm very disappointed. My husband and I have eaten here before and loved the fact the burgers were large and worth the money. But we just ordered from GrubHub and it's no longer worth $40+ I just spent on two burgers and fries. I'm sorry I feel like I got ripped off!

Delicious scrumptious smashed burgers Honestly they're so good. Warm, soft and flavorful. The smashed fries are also bomb

This place is sooo good! I was in the mood for some burgers and this definitely left me feeling satisfied. I ordered the Combo with a single smash burger, fries, and drink and upgraded the fries to smashed fries. Honestly, I feel like the single patty didn't have much meat so I added meat from the fries onto the burger which made it taste so much better. If you're in the mood for some burgers, I would definitely recommended either getting the double patty or getting the smashed fries because it comes with a lot of meat.

DOUBLE SMASH BURGER 8/10: I would say that this is a pretty standard smash burger! It had lots of flavor, the bun is soft, and the smash sauce it comes with is good! My only note is the pricing. I would suggest going for the combo that comes with a burger, fries, and a drink. I added a separate burger and it was 9 bucks. I think that for 9 bucks, I would hope for perhaps a bit more than pickles, sauce, meat, cheese, and bun (I mean in general considering I only really eat burgers plain...). FRIES (CAJUN) 7/10: The fries are standard and tasty. The only reason I kept it at a 7/10 is because I was not the biggest fan of the Cajun seasoning. I would suggest this for people who like a bit of a smokey paprika flavor. Also it is an extra charge ($1/$2) to make them Cajun. AMBIANCE 9/10: Good ambiance for a burger spot. The inside is a bit dark but there is nice outside seating and it's perfect for when you just wanna grub and it's a bit warm outside. NOTES-- - There is a bathroom! - The location for this place is busy as it is in a sort of plaza. Street parking!

The food is delicious classic smash burger with quality ingredients and flavorful sauce! The service was kind and professional and the ambiance was a perfect little corner burger shop for late night refuel! Definitely will come back when in Burbank

Chill little spot on San Fernando Rd in Burbank. Good music and comfortable. Service was super friendly. Just grabbed a double smash burger and it was very good. They use way too much salt and I'd ask for none if I return.

One bite of my smash burger and side of pickles (pickles are more salty than sweet or vinegary)

Most smash burgers consist of a smashed hamburger patty with cheese grilled onions, pickles and secret sauce. Most smash burgers DO NOT have lettuce... just wanted to throw that out. When you walk in there is a self-ordering screen, but I had employee asked if I needed help. I thought that was nice because sometimes some people don't like to order at the self ordering screen, but we didn't know what we wanted to order so we opted to do the self ordering screen. We ordered a smashburger and The Old fashioned Burger with onion rings, cheese fries, Cajun fries and a side of pickles. The side of pickles tasted like salted pickle. The pickle was neither sweet nor vinegary. I will probably not order a side of pickles. I will say I do like the cheese fries because the cheese on top of the fries were nacho cheese style. And I appreciate that they put a lot of seasoning on the cajun fries because some people have lazy taste buds like me. The onion rings are beer battered, and I do like how I had a fat king onion ring. Between the old fashioned and the smashburger, I recommend getting the smashburger because it had a better flavor from the burger being smashed with that crisp edges and the grilled onions adding that flavor. You can tell they use Quality meat and they do advertise where they get their meat from. The 80s atmosphere from the graffiti and the old school stuff from the Game Boy to the tapes make this feel like a good hangout spot after school, date night, etc. Definitely worth trying.

The burger is way smaller and real cheese burgers. I don't know why! It's was literally 2,3 bites no lettuce, see through meet ting patty and also small The fries were just ok . Not welcoming at all Just eat and leave no one cares!

    A whole lot of grub.

As someone who eats too many burgers, It's time to review another burger shop! A few weeks back my wife and I were in Downtown Burbank to get some burgers from Smashed Burbank! This burger shop is located in a cool area surrounded by shops and restaurants and even if it's got some competition, this place was a great place to get some lunch. The menu at Smashed Burbank consists mainly of burgers, because.....you know, it's a burger shop. I ordered the double smashed cheeseburger with bacon with french fries on the side. The smashed burger itself was very good! The meat was cooked well, the cheese was melty and gooey, the bacon was the tag team partner it needed, and the buns hugged it all together to make a dang quality burger. The french fries on the side were really good and they definitely give you way more then I would of expected. Overall, Smashed Burbank is a great burger spot in downtown Burbank and definitely a place you won't be let down by. This place offers a good amount of seating, a good staff, and some quality food to fill you up. Great place, try it for yourself!

Ask the Community - Smashed Burbank

Are the vegan burgers completely vegan? I noticed it says the cheese is. Are the buns and burger sauce vegan too?

Not sure about the buns and sauce but the patty and the cheese are vegan

Do all the burgers have bacon? Or do they have one that's only beef?

No they all do not have bacon. They also have a vegan burger that is very good.

Is everything vegan? Or it's just some items on the menu? :)

It's a regular burger restaurant that offers a vegan option.

There is one register available if you prefer to order with a person, but no employee is stationed there full-time, so you may have to wait a few minutes. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. The restaurant was clean, and the restrooms were clean as well. Our food came out fairly quickly. We ordered beef burgers, a fried chicken sandwich with avocado, loaded fries, regular fries, drinks, and a shake. The beef burgers had great flavor and were definitely the highlight of the meal. My chicken sandwich was good, but it didn't have that "wow" factor that would make me want to order it again. The loaded fries were tasty too. Our total came to $81 for three burgers, three orders of fries, two drinks, and a shake. Since everything is à la carte, it felt a little pricey for what we received. Overall, I'm glad we tried it. It wasn't bad at all, but it also wasn't a place that left me thinking, "I can't wait to come back." If you're in the area and want to check it out, it's worth trying at least once. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

I am not usually a fan of chain restaurants and honestly did not really want to go. I am glad we did because we had an excellent time. Our server, Frank, was awesome. He kept our drinks full the entire meal and was quick, efficient, helpful, and genuinely polite. My daughter had a great time with her friends and I enjoyed the great service and tasty food. My daughter ordered a burger cooked medium and she said it was really good. She liked that it was cooked exactly how she wanted and that it was saucy and messy, which is a good thing in her book. Her onion rings were crispy and she said there were a decent amount of them. I ordered the China Coast Salad without chicken and swapped in their meat alternative patty. They do not call it Impossible, just meat alternative, but it worked great. Fresh, flavorful, and a solid option if you want something lighter. Service was awesome, food was good, and if this same experience could be replicated again, I would definitely come back. Cost of what we ordered * China Coast Salad with meat alternative patty * Plant Based Patty * Hawaiian Burger * Lemonade * Diet Coke Tax: $5.82 Tip: $11.09 total: $72.34

The one bright spot of the evening was our host, Sophia. She was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel genuinely appreciated from the moment we walked in. She provided the level of hospitality I expect from Islands. Unfortunately, everything after we were seated went downhill. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which arrived extremely runny and lacked any real flavor. Even the "secret seasoning" couldn't improve it. It was not something I would order again. I ordered the Longboarder Burger and was equally disappointed. The bun had a strong, stale odor that made it seem as though it had absorbed the smell of a pantry shelf or had been sitting far past its prime. The smell was so off-putting that I had to take the burger apart and eat only the patty. Even then, the patty itself was underwhelming, lacking both quality and flavor. For a restaurant known for its burgers, this was unacceptable. Our server, whose name I don't recall, was absent for most of the evening. While I understand restaurants get busy, being busy shouldn't come at the expense of basic attentiveness. On more than one occasion, she appeared too rushed to fully listen to what we were saying. At one point, my partner was still in the middle of speaking when she simply walked away before he had finished his sentence. That left us feeling dismissed rather than cared for. I've always associated Islands with consistently good food and friendly service, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Sophia, the hostess, delivered excellent hospitality, but the food quality and the service we received after being seated fell well below the standard I expect from this restaurant. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because based on this visit, I would hesitate to return.

I ate the single (should've got a double!) jalapeño monster meal and a personal mash up of the wild fries with cajun seasoning. Subtotal was $21.74 and tipping was optional. That price looks crazy but I'm pretty sure a large meal at a drive-thru fast food chain costs nearly the same. More if it's dashed and delivered to your home. THE FOOD: Compared to Die - this is a SOLID COMPETITOR! Easy Street is different in a few ways. Easy Street has better fries and toppings options, from the get-go. Die's burgers are more like a McDonald's burger perfected and smashed. Those jalapeños were so crisp and spicy, it was a nice punch and kick to the burger. My wild fries had a melted American cheese slice on top with thousand island sauce and some grilled onions, so it's an animal style-esque option. That also sets this apart from other smashburger joints. THE SPACE: There's seating indoors and outdoors, seems good for small groups. Great vibes and helpful attitude from the cashier. I lucked out because he offered explanations and wasn't exasperated by all of my questions. Pretty clean interior, nice and yellow and bright. Which is welcome because major franchises are getting a washed out millennial gray and subdued muted tone makeover. I swear my local Wendy's is beige and maroon now.
