I went in at 10 am when they were supposed to open. But they said they can't take customers just catering orders. It was obvious they were just to lazy to work. They were playing some really awful death metal and my son was with me. Not worth going to ever again read more

Smashburger are really quite tasty. Their only knock is how pricey they are for their modest overall sizes. Averaging around $7 for a single beef and up to $12 for a double chicken patty. Note that each patty is smallish in size... barely 3 oz maybe and significantly smaller than a 4oz "quarter pound" of beef. Akin to the size of a single In/Out patty. Drink fountain is help your self Fried Brussels Sprouts are delicious and not "horrible" for you Lol. After the lunch rush the crowd really thins down to just 1-2 tables the rest of the afternoon. Parking is easy in their shared/private lot. Bathrooms are meh - a little dingy and sparse. read more

I used to come into smashburger quite often. Admittedly it's been awhile since I've been here. Life got busy and I've been on a health journey! I came in for the first time in a while and they had changed their menu and gotten rid of the dairy free shakes. We proceeded to order food. I got the American double no cheese. (I'm allergic) My son was eager to try the mac and cheese! (Big Mistake!) My husband got a double truffle burger. Flash forward to being served my food. Both my husbands burger and mine were singles when we ordered and paid for doubles. The fix was another patty for each so they fired a new patty each. Then looking at my son's Mac and cheese was disturbing. There were 2 or 3 little elbow noodles in a sponge of burnt grill grease and a little shake of cheese. It wasn't even eatable. So we brought our food to the counter including the mac and cheese. They just said thats there mac and cheese and then charged me for a whole nother kids meal so my son could get a cheese burger. (We had to buy a whole new kids meal. ) The manager who was the one that forgot our second patties came out and explained it's policy. I should of told her to eat a bite... it one solid piece not a matter of not liking. Both employees the manager included didn't seem happy to be there. They were a little cold in their deminers. I am never one to write a review. However, I was so disappointed in my experience yesterday, I am compelled to do so. I was in the restaurant around 5:30 PM. There were few people there, though it was a few minutes before anyone even noticed that we were standing at the counter. Once they did, we placed an order and I paid with my debit card. I thought that the machine said the transaction was "approved," though the employee said it didn't go through. I ran my card again, and this time, was certain that it said "approved." Again, the employee said that it didn't go through, and told me I'd need to run it again. At this point, I checked my banking app, and saw that both charges were pending. I showed this to the employee, who said I needed to run my card a third time. I said that I wasn't going to do so, and that I needed a refund for one of the charges. She insisted that I still owed money, and that I would be refunded for the other two charges. Clearly not getting anywhere, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager came out and reiterated the same thing: I could run my card a 3rd time or cancel the order. She said it may or may not go through, and that If it didn't, it was a problem with my card. I explained that the previous 2 charges DID go through with my card. There was no sense of customer service or attempt to make things right. I asked the manager if there was anyone else I might speak to. She said no. I then for her name, so that I might speak to the franchise owner. She said, "Oh, he's rarely ever here" and she refused to give me her name ("I don't have to tell you that."). We cancelled our order and left. We went down the street a block to Portillo's and had a FABULOUS experience! I won't be returning to Smashburger in the future. read more

Decent higher-end hamburger joint. Tasty food, small portions. The smash tots are my favorite, the rosemary on the tots makes these extra tasty. Some of the time I have been though, the tots come out super oily which makes finishing them almost impossible. Hamburgers are decent, but small. Don't have the good hamburger char I crave. Bacon on the burger was alright, not the crisp melt in your mouth bacon I've found elsewhere. Definitely prefer other hamburger joints over Smashburger. I do enjoy their shakes especially their peanuts butter shakes. Expect to pay for $10+ for your burger and fries. Shakes are expensive at $6 Overall, love the smash tots and shakes but I expect something more of the hamburgers here. read more

Lady came from the back and says she'll be right with me to take my order, OK no problem. Then a gentleman comes out from the back and says have even helped and I said not yet I'm waiting to order. He says OK. Somebody be right with you and watch to the back. And I'm standing here for a good 13 minutes. The lady comes back out and asked if I ordered and I said no and that I've been waiting here to place an order. She said OK I will be right back. Waited another three minutes and I decided just to walk out and leave. I love smash burger!! I always get the same thing. Classic Smash, single patty with bacon. I dream about this burger when I haven't had one in a while. Now for the down side... I wish they had better fries but I'll give that up for this burger and the fries are always hot. I've had a couple burgers that weren't completely smashed crispy but all restaurants struggle with quality control sometimes. I'll give them a pass and still go again. read more

Absolutely glad I stopped by smashburger as it has been forever and a day since I are here! I went with the classic double smash, but a single patty. Also got the smash fries that has rosemary and garlic! Wow! Such a delicious combo! The seasonings are not overly powerful and the fries had such a nice and light crunch, so good! The burger meat itself is very high quality, but a little on the thin side, so I should've got the double! I know that for the next time. Otherwise everything was good--especially the service as Chelsea was so nice and kind. Also, she encouraged me to fill out the survey, so I was able to get my fries for free--yes!! Stopped in for quick burgers before Hockey on a Saturday. We had the bacon brisket burgers. They were definitely flavorful. The brisket was a little tough but it didn't take away from the overall burger. We has sweet potato fries and brussel sprouts for the sides. The sprouts were cooked correctly with a char on the outside and tender throughout the rest. The sweet potato fries were undercooked but ok. It served well for a meal when we were pinched for time. The price is close to $20 per person which is high for fast food so at that price quality is scrutinized for sure. The service was quick and the employees were friendly and hustled. My wife and i just ordered two burgers. One being an avocado bacon club burger and a grilled mac and cheese burger. The club burger was to have tomatoes (which it lacked) i paid $1.60 for bacon and $1.60 for grilled onions. A $14.00 burger i might add. The fine folk at this place decided that they would rather take my money and not give me what I paid for. This seems to be par for the course for most Smashburger here in Tucson. The manager has the audacity to tell me that it's new peoples fault. I work in food industry and I know how to read tickets and I know how to train people to read tickets. That's why I'm good at what I do zero out of 10 if I could do not come here. Or to any Smashburger in Tucson if you can save yourself the trouble. The best part is the restaurant was dead My Wife and I were the only people there. If it was busy like balls to the wall with people everywhere. I guess I could understand something like this, but this is truly just outrageous. Go to Whataburger or In-N-Out I promise you will be far less disappointed. The ambience was pretty cool, except for the fact that the staff don't know how to read tickets at all plain simple. My favorite part is the business manager or business. Consumer, (reviews@smashburger.com) is going to reach out and try to rectify this but they won't actually train their staff to do the job that they're training for. The ingredients seem good quality, but mishandled to the point of being ruined. I ordered takeout so it wasn't piping hot which I expected but, it was also so incredibly salty and greasy; I didn't really enjoy it, the fries were saturated and the burger was dripping in grease, the Brussels sprouts were also way way too oily. I love that you can create your own burger! Never been to a Smashburger before so I thought that was cool. I love the decor, plain but trendy lighting and lots of space. The staff was SUPER friendly and was willing to make you feel very welcome. There was a little mix up with our order, but they were very accommodating and fixed it right away, and even offered to refill our drinks for us. I ordered a BBQ bacon cheddar burger on a chipotle bun. I decided to go with the 1/2 lb patty instead of the 1/4 lb just cause I could..lol. The burger was delish! The meat was cooked just right and just enough for me to finish. (Gourmet burgers are sometimes to big for me to even finish half!) The chipotle bun was a good choice and gave my burger that added boost of flavor too. I also ordered a side of onion rings. Their rings are thinly cut, and I thought were amazing! The seasoned fries were yummy too! Smashburger fries are unique in its own way, very flavorful cause they're tossed in rosemary, olive oil & garlic. Yum! I also had a sample of a strawberry shake...Scrumptious! All in all, I'd definitely come back to try the other types of burgers and explore more burger creations! Got it back to the business and everything was completely wrong including the name inside of the bags. The name on the huge bag was correct. The resturant was called about it and the little IT (the I can't tell what you are) manager decided to blame the business for the incorrect order. Informed the manager he was going there. When he arrived there was a TPD officer waiting. The business finally got refunded without any incident. Wasting TPDs time on a matter that was the resturants fault to begin with!!! Saw they have a vegan burger and shakes so tried it out. Ordered and paid online, website gave time order would be ready. I got there about 5 mins after order was supposed to be ready. Front counter girl couldn't find my order so she started going through bags waiting to be picked up with her bare hands inside them. Burger was wrapped fries not so threw them out when I got home. Then I proceeded to watch her spend TEN minutes making my shake. This place is a joke. Go somewhere else. They literally had 2-3 customers while I was there and there were at least 3 employees. This was a pretty solid burger. The toppings were all very real-- the bacon didn't just look like a bacon-themed strip of wax paper. Sautéed mushrooms tasted like homemade. The "smashing" method of cooking the burger resulted in satisfyingly crispy edges, but a somewhat bland, cooked-ground-beef tasting interior. (But since the baseline price of a burger is only like 4.99, I don't expect a one inch thick, medium rare patty.) The side of shoestring onions (or whatever they called them) was delicious, and a nice break from the norm of either no onion sides, Sysco frozen onion rings, or beer-battered raw steaks of onion that call themselves onion rings. I'm eager to try their unique-sounding fries next time. They also offer shakes (with the extra in a malt cup on the side, yay) and some bottled beer and wine. Had the truffle mushroom burger today. Quite good, except like my first visit, it was too salty as it wore on. Next time, I'm going to experiment and ask to go light on the salt or not add any at all and see what that does. Also had the veggie frites. Those were really good. They are string beans and carrot sticks, flash fried. The carrots turn out sweet. Loved the beans. The shakes, as always, are deliciously smooth. My Hāagen Daz strawberry shake could be immediately sucked through the straw without having an exercise in internal compression. This location of Smashburger has definitely changed. I used to love eating at this Smashburger, as they are close to home and I can make it home with food that is still warm. I thought they were delicious and well worth the price tag which is kind of high for a burger place. I ate there today and was extremely disappointed. It is nothing like it used to be. Also, since the place was empty, my friend and I opted for eating inside. The food we were served was lukewarm at best and definitely did not taste nearly as good as it has in the past. I ordered a classic Smashburger with bacon added and it was about $7.80. It was not anything special at all. It was bland and they have changed the buns.... it was just okay. I also ordered the brussel sprouts and they have always been delicious but this time they were over-salted and not nearly as good. My partner ordered a Deluxe chicken sandwich and that was okay but it also cost almost $9. He also ordered the smash fries and they were terrible. I told him to order them because I previously thought they were delicious as they toss them in and rosemary, garlic, and some other spices. Not this time. All they did was take regular french fries and put a little bit of their spices on them and serve them. Basically, they were semi warm french fries with a little bit of rosemary on them. Disappointing, again. The place did not look clean and it looked like the floor needed to be washed. The restroom was not clean. The person that was cooking had their mask underneath their nose. If I had seen that before I ordered my food I never would have ordered there. I will not be returning to this Smashburger anytime in the future. Our bill was close to $30 and it was definitely not worth it. I wouldn't bother if I were you. Another location might be better and I have found that the one on Grant and Swan to be good in the past. read more
