I came to pick up the food, I was told it was almost time to come pick it up, I came and saw my food with my name on it and I told her it was me and the person who was working acted like she didn't see me and I waited like that for 20 minutes... I saw that she behaves well and pleasantly with others, that is, people, but badly with me, I don't know why. And it's like that non-stop. This was my first time at a Five Guys. I wasn't impressed. First of all, I ordered a bacon burger, but it got rung up as a bacon cheeseburger ($11.49), which is more expensive. But I didn't catch it until I got my food, so I paid for, received and ate a burger with unwanted American cheese. I also got a milk shake ($6.09). Both the burgers and the shakes come with unlimited free toppings, which enables the customer to customize the limited menu. Anyway, the burger was huge, the shake was on the small side, and both were expensive for a casual quick-service place. Both tasted OK, but they were nothing special. Favorite high end burger place. Some things do need to be fixed. Food orders that are scheduled for pickup should be pretty much by the time you arrive though I always end up waiting close to 10 minutes when I get there. The burgers are always delicious and I love adding on all the different toppings which you can do for free and the Cajun fries are my favorite! The food is great - if you ever get what you ordered. I just had my 4th screw up trying to order food for delivery. First time I clicked "reorder" on my past order that was delivered, went through all the menus and after I confirmed I got a message saying they would let me know when it's ready for pick up. I phoned the store and they said they can't help me since I ordered on the app, that I should click the Cancel button on the app - which doesn't exist. Third time I ordered for delivery - and never got my food, and again the store said not their problem, to contact Five Guys customer service. So I switched to ordering through DoorDash since at least they know how to deliver food. Today I ordered 3 burgers and a shake through DoorDash and when I got the order Five Guys had rung it up as 2 burgers and a shake, so I was missing a burger. This place just doesn't get it; or maybe it's the business model in general..? From the pics, you can clearly see Five Guys literally is a slop-fest. One cheeseburger One small drink One regular fries = $16.27! $16.27 for a burger meal?? I'm not even in New York?! This is Tucson people! Absolutely ridiculous on top of waiting approximately another 13 minutes just to get it in a bag. This business model of a fast food joint is a complete $hit-$how. The hamburger falls apart in minutes and the taste is entirely un-memorable. Just not worth it. No pride in their product and a ticked off attendant when requesting more than ONE napkin... We arrived and placed our order fairly quickly. The order was prepared as ordered and in a timely manner. For 1 Cheeseburger (double patty), 1 Little Cheeseburger, 1 Little Hamburger, 1 regular order of french fries, & 3 regular drinks I was staring at a $42+ bill. Solid Five stars. The Five Guys on Broadway have it together. Their manager especially. I was watching the process as they have an open kitchen and assembly area. Their manager was watching things and her eyes hardly ever left the grill. Maybe a new cook I don't know but I watched as the cook put a buger onto a bun and the manager stopped her and showed her that the middle was not done yet . By pushing the meat she could tell. I like that kind of attention to detail. This restaurant rocks and they still have free peanuts. Try the Double cheeseburger with bacon. It is a brute of a hamburger and will please just about anybody's palate. And don't skip the fries. You can't eat all of them but at about 11 when the munchies hits you know what to do. Peanuts, peanuts, peanuts! Not that's out of the way, I got the veggie sandwich, I don't like the grilled mushrooms or onions so I passed on those. You can pretty much add any toppings you choose. I always go for the jalapenos. They are raw so they kick a little more punch that you might expect. The large fries are definitely enough for 2-3 people so consider that when ordering. Who doesn't like a great burger the only downfall is that they don't have combo meals so I purchased a burger and a small fry and a shake and it was well over $16 went for fast food chain is a bit pricey I could've went to someplace like Zen burger and had a real sitdown meal and paid maybe a couple of dollars more but there quick and efficient & fresh which I love. The french fries are amazing fresh cut from potatoes right on site hot and they give you an extreme amount so if you purchase one fry that's going to be plenty for you and a friend to share. Not a sit-down but not throw it in a bag fast food either. The burgers are very customizable (with LOTS of potential toppings/sauces) and the "little cheeseburger" is more than enough. That's especially true if you also get their "little" fries. Add to that the fact that they have milkshakes...it's a decent burger meal. You can eat peanuts in the shell while you wait for your meal (but aren't allowed to take the peanuts out of the building which seems like something their lawyers made them say). The restaurant is always clean and the staff helpful and kind. There is an outside eating area where I think you are allowed to have your pooch, but we've never eaten there since it opens onto Broadway(busy street). read more

This was my first time to a Five Guys. First, the food. I ordered the single patty burger with basic stuff: pickles, lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketchup, and relish. I also ordered the regular size cajun fries and a regular soda. This came to nine dollars. The burger certainly tasted better than the larger chains, and seemed a bit more "real" than In-N-Out. The cajun fries had a kick, and the regular size were certainly more than I could eat, coming in a 16 oz. drink cup and overflowing at that. Was it worth the nine dollars? I thought the patty was a bit small for the price, and why pay for a single size serving of fries you can't eat. Now for the atmosphere. The place is extremely clean. The decor is kinda retro burger joint. The stacked potato bags are a nice touch. But the place is small for the size crowds they are hoping to draw. I went at lunch time. The way the place is arranged right now, the tables are crowded next to one another, with little room to move. The music level was bit high and somewhat annoying. The bathroom accomodates one person. I'll go back, but not often. If you want a chain burger, I think you can get a better value and a decent burger at What-A-Burger or Carl's Jr. If I'm going to spend nine or ten dollars for a burger meal, I'd rather eat at a local place that has atmosphere to match. read more

If I never before ate ground beef between bread, I'd be pretty damn impressed with a meal at Five Guys. But being an American, this ain't my first patty rodeo, and this burger ain't enough to win crave-worthy status. Now there wasn't anything particularly wrong with the burger, and it was quite a bit better than what some places try to pass off as far as beef flavor goes. But there just wasn't anything 'special' about it or what you can put on top of it. And while we were seated a mere 30 feet from the pick up counter, I wondered why my bun looked as though it was put in place and pressed down by a work boot. Because of my little's allergies, I was excited to try the fries cooked in peanut oil on this afternoon we were there without the kids (no way we would even try it with him with us...there are even signs on the doors warning guests not to take peanuts outside because of allergy contamination to neighborhood children). Seriously, if they are willing to use this Dangerous and Deadly oil in their food prep, there must be some redeeming if not magical quality it imparts on the fries. Not so much. Fries were plentiful (thanks to the counter person for suggesting a small for two people to share) and cooked, but far from fabulous. I love that light crispness on the outside that has a bit of snap encasing fluffy potatoey heaven inside. I didn't throw them out...but again, nothing that is going to bring me back for more. Even if the food was a 4-star or better for me, I'd have to keep it at a 3 for the annoying, cloying and obnoxious interior decor. Maybe putting up a few excellent reviews on the walls is charming for a neighborhood place, but this is a chain and I really don't care that in 2006 Denver voted it the "best burger for $5". Even the bathrooms are covered with reviews. Did these reviews make me expect more than what I pulled out of the bag? Perhaps. Or are they hoping that if they say "Five Guys Is The Best Burger You Will Ever Have" over and over and over again it will actually convince their patrons that its true. The first time I have ever eaten their and the last time. The service was bad the girl at the counter was very rude, and the workers were constantly giggling as if they were talking about use. Made us feel very unwelcomed. And the girl at the counter kept walking over to another guy worker and whispering in his ear and looking back at us, it was 9:00pm one hour before they closed so it wasn't like it was 10 minutes till closing our order was a lil under 200$ burgers were sloppy fries were cold and soggy oh and the milk shakes were on the counter so long they were melted and bubbling I will not eat at the Broadway by the park place mall ever again I will try another location I would love to put the names of the workers but I will not just hope they get better training. read more

So I was at this location yesterday. The staff was friendly and the food was good like normal. However the staff was allowing some older guy who seemed to have issues roam around the restaurant. He was pushing trash cans around and washing his hands with the soda machine, I did not feel that was sanitary at all. Then to top it off he walked by me looked right at, me shook his head and said "It's beginning to look more like Mexico around here every day" I said excuse me and he said it again before walking away. Dear Five Guys, I respect the brand you have created, and I also am quite impressed at how efficiently you weave the long ass line of people around stacks of bagged potatoes in true herding fashion... but I have to say, it was A-OK. Not life-changing, but a "good burger place." Here are a few things to be prepared for upon arrival: - - The location on Broadway/Craycroft has been open for about two weeks now, and the line is STILL out the door during lunchtime. Get there as close to 11AM as you can, or be prepared to wait. If you don't mind waiting, there's quite the plethora of sweet eye candy from DM Air Force Base right around the corner, yum! - - The portion size is reeeedic. Honestly - a "little" burger is a decent sized full burger and the regular is just too freakin' big. The regular fry cuppeth runneth over, into a brown paper sack that is soaked with grease before you even get it to the table. [FYI I believe they fry their fries in peanut oil... so that grease is a "heathier grease" ...) I appreciate the more bang for the buck but it just felt sloppy and excessive. The fries were "good" ... nothing to write Paula Deen about, but tasty. Slightly soggy, not a lot of crisp to them. My friend ordered the cajun kind, and in short, there was cajun powder everywherrrre - - we were finding it weeks later. It's messy people! - - The burger: (Scored 1 thru 5) BUN gets a 1, it falls apart and gets really flattened/mashy as you eat it. It's a stressful experience when you pile on the toppings and the bun doesnt hold up the end of it's deal. MEAT gets a 4, cooked perfectly, great size meat-to-bun ratio, but didn't get a 5 due to a lack of unique flavor. Just a good meat patty. TOPPINGS get a 5. A-okay with me, no issues. This is a newer location, the staff advised they opened in January. I experienced a line, but it went fast. The wait for my burger was a bit of a wait - - maybe 10 minutes? This was my second experience at a Five Guys, so I changed it up this time. I included grilled mushrooms (which were awesome!) on my burger to complete the All the Way fixings options -- - and I opted for my fries to be Cajun style. Definitely good -- but spicy, like you'd expect. Restaurant looked clean. I saw several team-members going through, wiping tables, cleaning... The soda machine area looked organized and clean. (Okay...didn't realize there were two places to post a review for this place but there are...so here I am to spread the world.) ...Summary of below story, I don't know how this place got such a high rating...but don't go. Went here today to get my sick husband some decent burgers. I'd never tried this place but I saw it on my way to work earlier so I thought I'd give it a try...MISTAKE! I had ordered online which I thought was very cool, when I got there they had 2 pickup locations, one for call ins and one for...I guessed regular orders. I waited at the call ins section for a little bit (figured that would be the place to pick up) and noticed nobody was noticing me! So! I went to the other pickup lane and had to interrupt a young lady who instructed me to go back to the other lane to get my drink and receipt. After a bit of confusion I finally get my food and some other tid bits for our meal. Low and behold! Halfway through my drive towards home, I noticed the bag was covered in oil...okay, not unlikely to happen to a fast food bag, so I ignored it. When I got home...OMG! The bun was so soggy with grease and whatever else that it fell apart and the fries were as horrendous. The flavor was...ok. It was not worth the money and wish I had just gone to Bj's Brewery for better flavor and quality...as well as a better price. FYI I got 2 burgers, large fries, and a regular drink for a little under $20...I could've gone to BJ's Brewery and gotten better quality burgers with better flavors for just about that much...BJ's only charges $10.25 w/o tax for 1 burger that includes fries. I finally had five guys...literally 2 mins ago! It was delicious! When you arrive and while you wait for your mouth watering burger you can enjoy complimentary peanuts! So get cracking! There are many more condiment options at five guys so you can make your burger...your way which is awesome. Let me address the "in n' out" and "five guys" comparison. I love both places but there is no way to compare the two because they are different "style" burgers. In N' Out is a very good "fast food" burger and 5 guys a very good "Restaurant" style burger. Depending on your preference or your craving that day...you will enjoy! Side notes: small fries can feed two. "Hamburger" has two patties probably in between 1/4 and 1/2 pound. I do not like this place. Let me tell you why: 1. It is super expensive! I got two burgers, one order of fries, and one soda. It was almost $15!! I can get the same order at In n Out and pay like $8. If it was amazing food maybe I wouldn't be so upset. But it's not. Which leads me to... 2. Holy effing greaseball!! The burger had no flavor whatsoever, wait- I mean unless you consider grease a flavor. But I don't! It was dripping in grease. 3. The fries were soggy and the whole bag was soaked in grease. Yuck. 4. The servings were huge, even though I ordered a small burger. And who needs that many fries? I suggest smaller servings and smaller prices. 5. It is so crowded with tables and bags of peanuts that I found it super difficult to navigate inside. I could barely fit my toddler and baby in his car seat in there comfortably. The only things I liked were the options for burger toppings, and the fact that the employees were super friendly and helpful. Weekday lunch... what to do? OK... I'll try the new Five Guys that opened up just down the street. Never been there and it was early enough that I figured I could beat the crowd. I ordered a cheeseburger (I discovered later that I had ordered "All The Way minus shrooms) and a regular order of Cajun fries and took it back to my office. Cheeseburger - while I waited for my lunch I watched them assembling burger after burger. I noticed many of the burgers had two meat patties. Daydreaming I pondered, "I hope what I ordered has two meat patties." After all, it's nearly 11:30 and I haven't eaten since almost 10:00. Upon arrival at my office I open the wrapper to uncover a monster two-patty burger. I take my first bite and the thing proceeds to fall apart. Undaunted, I carry on. I manage (with the help of about eight napkins) to finish the burger with minimal collateral damage to the items on my desk. The toppings were nice. I like that the onions were diced and grilled so they did not have that raw onion flavor. Cajun Fries - (heavy sigh) Did not live up to high expectations. Soggy and, despite the Cajun seasonings, lacked salt. Overall impression - Both items lacked any oomph, i.e. seasoning. Items are priced separately, which jacks up the cost. These 5 guys will charge you 9 bucks for a fast food burger and fries. A tad steep in my eyes. My wife and I have been waiting to try this place since we saw it going in near our house. She may be upset that I tried it without her. Not sure if it was worth the trouble I may be in. read more

My first time at five guys! I had to try them since my husband's friend said five guys is WAY better than in N out. Pfffft. How do you even begin to compare? They're in two different worlds. In N Out has like two things on the menu, and mediocre fries. I don't care how much In N Out fries suck, animal style cheeseburger is an old trusty. It's like...grandma's old Apple pie. The Five Guys divide. Whenever I talk to others about Five Guys there are two types of people: Those who rave how Five Guys is one of the better burger joints or those who are like whatever. I'm part of the latter. It's just alright, the burgers don't carry the flavor other joints that you can visit for the same price. The fries are good, but they do get soggy if not eaten promptly. Even though I find this place middle of the road, I'll still keep coming back simply because everything is made to order. Amazing! First off just the place itself is clean sanitary and the workers are friendly smiling upbeat and helpful....now for the food...I got the bacon cheeseburger 2 patties and the regular fries.
