So my co-worker and I come by a few times a month to Tucson for deliveries and look for new spots to eat at . We had been told about this place . Gotta say I wasn't impressed or really saw the hype my buddy had the burger , chicken basket , and his drink ... the burger was good full of flavor . I had the steak finger basket which I thought it was undercooked it was really chewy. Also added 2 strips of fish good taste just a little to fresh. But the place is super clean , lots of customers , so that's a good thing .. great customer service .. but was told next time get the shrimp basket is what family and other customers mentioned !!! Service was friendly and fast. I ordered the 7 piece special, small fries and the great garlic toast. The chicken was meaty and crispy, it's great with the wishbone special sauce, but it's an extra charge for the sauce. The fries were crispy and the wonderful garlic toast was delicious. Ordered the Sampler takeout from Lucky Wishbone. My mom and I both had never been there before and wanted to try it. We called and ordered and our food was ready in about 10 minutes. The lady behind the counter was very friendly! The place is clean and well kept. There was a ton of food in the sampler box, enough for us to have 3 meals out of. We enjoyed mostly everything except for the steak fingers. While they tasted okay the texture of them was a little weird. Maybe poor cuts of steak. Otherwise we really enjoyed our food. The Lucky Wishbone sauce was delicious and went with everything. Also, the fries are really good even the next day! We would like to try their fried chicken and wings next time! After having heard many stories of my father eating here tracing back to the 1960s I knew that I had to try it. First off don't come here if you're on a diet or health food conscious. Virtually everything is fried except for maybe the hamburger. That said, I was truly impressed that my fried shrimp were made to order. I had to wait around 10 minutes. I had to drive home 25 minutes and the food was still hot. That was a big plus in my mind. And the fried shrimp was actually fairly solid. It had great flavor and both my father and I love the cocktail sauce. I love the old-fashioned crinkle cut fries. I can't say they taste the best after sitting out for 30 minutes. However, I thought they were solid. I also saw some really interesting things on the menu. Like gizzards and liver. I'm also really interested to try out the steak fingers. This place was clean. The staff was friendly. The food was made to order and hot. It's definitely not a gourmet offering. But if you want some down home local fried cooking it's not that bad and you know what I think I'm gonna be back. read more

This is a simple fast food place. I think they get a lot of phone orders,cause when we got there, there's a 30 minute wait for the chicken cut we want. And the crews are very apologetic which is understandable,cause we were not in a hurry, we are just picking up food to go. They even offer free soda, just to make up for it. Which I think is really nice. But I think it is worth the wait cause their chicken is super crispy and it has good flavor. And it's very inexpensive. They have family value meals for less than $30. They have shrimp,too if you like seafood. I think their Jalapeño poppers are great,too. So,if you like chicken which is not greasy,this is the place to go. Food is okay nothing to write home about not a lot of seating not worth the price won't be coming back

Normally, we go to the fast food chicken place down the road a bit, but today, we decided to give this place a try. Sadly, I have to say we probably won't be back. I had the 2 breast combo that comes with fries and garlic bread, and Bobbie had the wild fries. I'll start with the breading on the chicken. Both hers and mine had no flavor at all. The breading was devoid of seasonings and was very bland. The fries on both our plates were good and the only real reason for 2 stars. The 3 sauces on her fries had good flavor, but even those couldn't make up for the chicken having no flavor. To top it off, my breasts were overcooked and bone dry to the point I didn't even eat the second one. Oh well, at least we know, and we'll go back to the other place. read more

Not bad but not among the best Lucky Wishbones in town. Sadly, the pride of the local fried in Tucson has lost it charm at this location. I have eaten at the 'bone for decades and they still are the only ones with the familiar cocktail sauce and steak fingers. My fried chicken despite having two beautifully cooked wings, but a burnt breast! Presentation of the half full potato salad smeared into the shallow container gave the impression that someone had already eaten part of my side dish. I've had similar inconsistencies at this location and have excused it as bad day anomalies, but this has become a pattern at this one. read more

We recently stopped by the newest location for the local Tucson favoeite: Lucky Wishbone. This is the first location that's in the northwest area of the city, so it was super busy when we got there. Because of COVID-19, they aren't really encouraging dine-in at this point (understandably), so just be aware that this is mainly a take-out kind of place for now. We zipped right through the line to order and the cashier we had was really friendly and helpful with the questions we had (FYI, the Wishbone Sauce is kind of like a cocktail sauce!). We only had to wait about 5 or 6 minutes for our order to come up and we were off. We ended up ordering the Mom sized chicken finger basket and the Pop sized Sampler basket. The steak fingers and the shrimp were really flavorful, but the chicken fingers were a little bland. The sauces definitely helped out here though, so it wasn't that big of a deal. I will definitely be back to this location, if you're craving any fried deliciousness, hit up Lucky Wishbone! read more

I am very upset with the delivery. The person delivering the order of food did not ring the doorbell or knock on the door. Just left the food by the door. I didn't find it till 2 hours later. It was totally cold. The drivers need to learn to ring the doorbell or knock. I was out $49 for food that wasn't able to eat. Will think twice before using your services again. Okay...what did you guys do to your fish?? It used to be breaded like the chicken strips. Light, crispy... yummy. But now, the fish batter is heavy, greasy and often times, burnt tasting. They are actually sorta gross. I don't know if you changed suppliers or your breading recipe. But it's ruined your fish. I still love their fried chicken and chicken strips. But unless you go back to your old fish product and batter recipe, I won't be getting your fish ever again..... read more

Disappointed. Ordered a pops chicken which has five pieces of mixed dark and white. Two wings, one leg, one thigh and a breast thingy. All the pieces were anemic and dry. The breast is the weirdest cut as it is more bone and skin than meat. The fries were soggy and the portion skimpy. Ordered a side of cole slaw which was good. Disappointing, used to be great food. Did away with pop n mom sizes. Shrimp are small over cooked and extra breading to make it look substantial. Really hope owners and managers will by better quality food. It's very apparent and food quality suffers. I imagine customers will as well.
