Unbelievable! My daughter went to Smash Burger s tonight. Asked to have a grilled cheese and was told they could not make one, then asked for a cheese burger but to leave out the meat and the cashier said that she had to asked the manager and the manager told her that they could not do that! Guess what, Smash Burger, many teens visit your establishment and chances are there will be one or two in that group that want to be with their friends but do not eat meat! Way to go!! Went there last Sunday evening. Customer service was okay, floors were dirty trash on the floors, tables missing napkins and sauce bottles. Tables and chairs greasy, I had to wipe our chairs. The sweet tea dispenses were all empty. I ordered a combo for me and got a very small amount of fries, ordered a kids meal and the kids meal had more fries than my order and extremely greasy. The taste of the burger is nothing special at all. Not coming here again. I could have gone to McDonald's for this quality of food. read more

No greetings at the cashier, I had to go pick up my own order at the window, and now they are literally arguing at the food prep station as I type this out!! Avoid this place at all cost. I decided to give it a try on Monday, being Labor Day. Although busy, the line went quickly and the staff was friendly and helpful for a first time visitor. Their selection was large and the Turkey burger option was a nice offering. The food was delivered quickly and was hot. I have to say I am not the least bit impressed. The beef hamburger was average at best and the fries we typical. I don't care for a flat burger, I prefer more along the lines of a Foster Grille style hamburger, thick and juicy. The same with the French Fries, I prefer fresh cut like 5 Guys or Fosters. I won't make it a point to return, but it is not horrible. read more

I used to love this place and would go often. Since it opened it has gone down hill. The staff are not friendly at all and seemed bothered to take your order. The place is usually dirty with food on the floors and tables not cleaned. Hamburgers have been coming out super greasy. It's a shame. This used to be a go to for me. read more

I go here at least once a WEEK :-) now , Love their truffle mushroom swiss burger and spicy california baja burger as well , Haagen Daz ice cream shakes are great.It is a little pricey, but i use coupons and it helps big time.Staff is very polite and friendly.Like their egg/brioche bun a lot. We were excited to get another new quick serve restaurant in the area. We tried Smashburger and were left wanting. The burger tasted okay, nothing special. The fries tasted better than fast food fries (I really liked the Rosemary) but nothing special. They ran out of iced tea, they ran out of ice cream and they ran out of diet coke and I heard someone complaining about running out of other drinks and ice on our way out. We might try again when the crowds die down but for now I'll stick with Five Guys to satisfy the burger craving. It's simply a better bet. This has been the second restaurant opening in this new center that has left us wholly unimpressed. read more

I wish I could give them no stars. I was there this after noon for the first time ever to get some fries and a milk shake. While waiting on the fries I was watching the front counter lady make my milk shake (the kid with the nose and eye brow piercing) pour refrigerated milk into a measuring cup and then stick measuring cup back into fridge compartment under back counter with out washing it. Highly unsanitary and for that I will never go back to smash burger. To top it off another waiting customer said I would make sure you checked your burger, which we found odd. I FINALLY managed to get in and try their truffle swiss smash burger. It was pretty good. BUT I ordered some milk shakes and they didn't bring them until half my burger was gone. When I complained saying that I wanted a drink with the food the manager said that the ice cream was hard as a brick and that they had to really work to make the shakes. I'm glad I had also asked them for a glass of water. The fries suck as they are shoestring fries, good if hot but they cool rapidly and once cold they get hard a rock. I told them they needed thick cut fries but of course it went in one ear and out the other. I ordered the shoe string onion rings and they were pretty good. I guess this place is OK but not really anything to go out of the way for. read more

I visited this place in the mid afternoon recently when there were maybe four other customers seated amongst the scattered tables. Staffing looks to be an obvious problem here as I was the only person in the order line yet I had to wait five minutes for the cashier to finish making milk shakes. She finally took my order for a couple of basic take-away burgers. As I sat waiting for the order to filled I noticed trash and leftover food spread across five or six tables. As I said - staffing problems - which points to basic management issues and an underlying disrespect for the customer. So, having said all that, the $5.99 barebones, single patty burgers with no cheese or special toppings was quite disappointing - the whole experience was depressing. Hmmm....use a press to smash ground beef into a patty - that is their gimmick. Give me a break! read more

I have dined here twice and both times the service was terrible. Last week, after leaving the theater, we gave it another shot. We walked in and up to the order station where 2 staff stood, 1 making milk shakes and the other changing the register drawer. Neither lady said one word to us as we stood there. After a few minutes I said loud enough to be heard, "I guess they don't want our business", which prompted 1 to say I'll be right with you. She then proceeded to the rear and out of sight and the other delivering shakes. Our order was finally taken and the food was very good, despite the fact that the burger should probably be an 8 oz.. However, while eating we observed 1 man waited at least 5 minutes for someone to approach and there were 4 young ladies waiting behind him. All this with 2 uniformed staff sitting at a back table. Then the lady that took our order walked out the door to not return. Finally, an older man came out, with a register drawer and finally helped the people in line. It was obvious that shift change was happening, but it could be performed so much better. At the end of the day, paying $23. for 2 burgers and fries and receiving this kind of service is just not worth it. Never again! read more

I've been craving a good burger for about a week now & my fiance & I decided to try this place for lunch. The food sounded amazing, it smelled like a good burger joint, everything was there. Man, was I disappointed. They were busy, which I took as a good sign, but I found out it was only because they kept getting orders wrong & having to replace them, thus slow service. The burgers were small & well done, nothing cooked to order. They had no flavor to them, I had to add hot sauce & ranch to get a good flavor. My fiance got the bacon cheeseburger, he had to add salt, and the bacon was limp & chewy. Even their smash fries were lacking in flavor & needed salt. I was actually sad when we walked out of there because I was so disappointed. I can honestly say that I refuse to visit this place again. None of the tables had been bussed, the floors were filthy, the trash bin was overflowing, and there was one runner, clearly overwhelmed. Tried this for the first time. The place was pretty packed, not a lot of seating. I had the spicy jalapeño veggie black bean burger. It was good, not great. Also had the sweet potato fries, which were good. The portion size was okay. You ordered and sit down and they bring your food to you as it's ready, which was pretty quick! It was good, nothing super wow or impressive. I do like the thinner fires but I'd rather have Five Guys or could LOVE a Burger 21 with gluten free options. :) read more

Was shocked to see a line out the door when we got there , moved at a steady pace though and then the biggest hurdle was finding a place to sit . Obviously i don't expect that this issue will last so no marks down for that . For the food, the shakes are good and maybe the only reason I would choose this place over another place. The burger though was still pretty small for a big and very greasy. I got the regular fries and wasn't that impressed either , though they do have other styles to choose from. I would put give guys ahead of them on taste of the burger but smash burger has more to choose from for add ons. It wasn't great, wasn't horrible ... Just kind of meh. My wife got the baha burger and it was so spicy that she could barely eat it. The best part is when it slows down it could be a quick eat before hitting a movie. read more

Thanks, but no thanks. First visit, with high expectations. Moderately busy, much noisier than it should have been. We ordered classic Capital, with BBQ instead of mayo, the Avocado Club with cucumbers added, and the smashfries, all to go. Waited about 10 minutes, watched as the manager yelled at the girl making shakes, then watched them put a salad under the heat lamp (yikes!) Got our food home to find cold, greasy fries, a classic with mayo we didn't want and missing the BBQ we did want; the club had guacamole instead of avocado and was missing the cucumbers. Both burgers were completely unseasoned, other toppings were limp and flavorless. Can't imagine ever wanting to go back unless virtually every other burger place in the area closes first. read more

The food is good and priced decently even if it is on the high side. What their problem is they're either understaffed or they're just incredibly dumb that don't have anyone clearing tables since there's no trash can to throw them away once you're done eating. I came here for the fist time on a Sunday for lunch and asked one of the workers if these tables with empty seats but with trays on them that looks like it has been finished will be available or cleared and she looks at me with the response if no one is there then it's available. Basically me and some other people who just ordered had to clear our own tables to be able to eat on it. read more
