Drink area was a bit untidy. - A person wearing a patterned long-sleeve shirt is filling a cup with a fountain drink from a soda dispenser. The dispenser offers multiple beverage options, including Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Fanta Orange, Powerade, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, and Sprite. The setup is part of a beverage station, with a large Coca-Cola sign above and a drip tray below the dispenser.

If you follow my reviews, you know that I frequent MOD a lot. It's fast, customizable, and it fits in with my diet plan (unlike many pizza joints). The pizza tastes fast casual, but it's pretty good. This was my first time at this location. Located at The Promenade, it's convenient to shopping and entertainment. Here is the breakdown of this MOD: *Pizza makers were slow. They also were stingy with certain items, but dumped on mushrooms and green peppers. *Pizzas took a little longer than expected. *My son's pizza crust was over cooked. *Restaurant was dirty-tabletops, drink fountain area floor *We ate outside as there were a few tables there. My pizza tasted fine ( except for too many peppers). Husband didn't complain. My grown son was the only one not loving his meal, but he ate it anyway. Hopefully, once staffing issues improve nationwide, the service will be better.

This is their mad dog pizza. It's my favorite.

First of all, I love MOD Pizza. I think I've been to 20 locations maybe more. Love everyone of them pizzas very consistent. I like the variety of drinks. I'll be back time and time again.

MoD built your own. - A cooked pizza featuring toppings such as ham, jalapeños, mushrooms, and cheese, with a slightly charred crust. The pizza is placed on parchment paper, and the background suggests an indoor setting, possibly a restaurant or pizzeria.

Cool pizza joint , fresh ingredients, tin crust and most important great presentation. Service was slow but worth the wait. The manager was patient and helpful Ambience clean , quite and safe. 8/10 in food. 10/10 service. Price 7/10.

Love it ! Crispy hot thin crust pizza. Endless options to customize your pizza. I added bacon and it was delicious. Friendly people and fast service. I highly recommend and will return again.

Sad to say this is the last time I order delivery from Mods. My pizza came with 2 "complimentary" flies" and incomplete. I ordered 2 pizzas, dessers and 1 soda and the dessert was nowhere to be found. I called, was told only general Manager can approve a refund, and gentleman on the phone assured me charges were canceled. Still waiting to get my $34+ back. Hungry and upset kids and had to spend extra money on buying another meal for them. Really experience. Customer service could also use some improvement.

This place is so hit or miss. Quality drops like a stone anytime they are busy. Don't waste your money on the "mega dough". There is literally no difference most nights.

    The dust

Filthy, filthy filthy. I asked the manager about the dust and she said they cleaned it nightly.....no way. Tons of food, flies and finger prints everywhere. I couldn't eat there. I had to walk out I asked for the manager but a very timid girl said it was her. When I asked her about the filth she just shrugged and said they just clean once a day...at closing. Sad, it was a good fun place to go.

If you haven't been to MOD Pizza, the concept is make-it-as-you-order (kind of like Subway or Chipotle but for pizza). Select your crust (they have regular wheat, gluten-free, and cauliflower). Select your sauce (red, white, pesto, and others). Select your cheese (mozzarella, feta, asiago, and many more). Select your toppings (different meats and a variety of veggies). The price is the same regardless of how many toppings you choose. When you are ready, they bake your pizza. As you can imagine, you can craft the perfect pie - exactly as you like it. The wheat flour crust is good. The cauliflower crust is not worth it. I did not try the gluten-free one. 4 stars because of a consistency problem. The quality of your pizza depends on the person assembling it for you - some workers are perfectionists while others are sloppy.

Our first visit was right after they opened and it was a horrible wait. I'm talking 45 minutes for 6 burgers, fries and shakes. My expectation was pretty low at that point. We live 30 minutes from the location and when we arrived home I was disappointed in how they wrapped their to go food. The burgers were half wrapped and I just knew it was going to be cold. My husband took a bite and I knew it was good. He's a chef and is pretty picky about his food. The burgers were perfectly cooked. They were seared beautifully and still moist in the center. Flavor was 10 out of 10. How was the food still warm? No clue, but whatever they did it definitely worked! Seriously, try the burgers! Pros - burgers are amazing. My son even likes the chicken. Cons - honestly the fries are not worth the price. For a place called shake shack, I didn't find the shakes that impressive. Pro tip - order online prior to arrival. You walk in and the bag of food is ready for you. Skip the folks trying to punch their order in on the kiosk!

Lettuce was wilted and not enough herb mayo. SHACK CHEESEBURGER: 5/5 This is usually as good as it gets. Single party with cheese, pickles and shack sauce. Nothing else is needed for that yummy beef. FRIES: 4/4 Nicely packaged and hot. Good but not great. EXPERIENCE: 4/5 Nobody said a word to me other than call my order number when it was ready. No greeting upon entering. No thank you. It was fine. Dining room was clean. Value? You don't go here to save money.

BUYER BEWARE!! Mysteriously, my updated review disappeared along w/my original review & now my…read morereview is "not recommended." Note: Owner's comment wrongly accuses this user as the cops weren't called during my visit. I just left absolutely disgusted. BLUF: You know when something is so good & you're waiting for the bottom to fall out? Unfortunately, for this place moment arrived. Food: gross & nowhere near the quality that was once enjoyed. No more hot, crispy, tasty chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, wraps, or even fries. Lobster rolls? Forget them. Most expensive sandwich you'll ever pay for only to wind up regretfully unsatisfied. In 2022 the food actually seemed like fresh-cooked home recipe chicken. Now, it seems like the food is no better than mass produced previously frozen fried stuff that you get at a nearby cheap chicken chain restaurant or local gas station. The joint is a no frills aged, rather dingy chicken stand/ice cream shop. Cookies & Cream: Some ice cream flavors are tasty but not the whole selection. Freezer on fritz? Sometimes flavors are gritty (melted and refrozen?), other times chewy or gummy (old?), & other times really soft or soupy. Maybe a small upcharge for a sugar cone may be ok, but charging extra for a regular cake cone? RUINS the epitome of a traditional ice cream experience. Too much competition in the area for an easy, tasty, scoop of ice cream! Nickel & diming customers gets old fast. Did they gain recognition for their wings at the expense of everything else? Worth the drive? NOT any more. General good practice: If you're having a bad day at work, it's usually a good idea NOT to take it out on your co-workers & customers. Another one bites the dust. This "flagship" location has fallen from grace in just about every important aspect necessary to small biz survival. Very disappointing discovery. These chicken sandwiches were once dream-worthy a few years ago when they first opened. But, now, it left me feeling queasy & the sandwiches looked horrible. Mine was a gloppy, greasy, soggy mound. Barely breaded/coated chicken on a greasy bun. I could see the meat through the carelessly floured or maybe cornmealed breading. The former thick coating of crispy, crunchy crust was completely absent as if they didn't even remember to dip it in batter. A complete opposite of what their sandwiches used to look & taste like. There was an overwhelming amount of mayo (picture a very thick paste-like layer) & a sparse runny tablespoon of slaw for which you pay an extra $1.50. A slab of rubber chicken between oily, soggy bread. The rest of the chicken we received looked like it was fried in old grease for way too long. Dry, dark brown bits. Soggy, chewy fries all stuck together in a compressed mass. Soaked up way too much oil. Kitchen staff unabashedly unwilling to be helpful & unnecessarily & rudely reactive in response to requests to remedy minor errors in the order. What we received from the kitchen should never have come out of the kitchen, including the kitchen staff, ready to throw punches. The cashier was the only positive to the visit. This place is still plagued with production, operational, customer service issues & it affects consistently producing high-quality food & service when the business is slightly off balance from mildly elevated degrees of stress. Be warned--these issues seem to run deep & will yield hit or miss results in both food & service on any given day. Every day carries some risk of increased stress but busier days carry the most, of course. A well-oiled business will consistenly & professionally manage this risk & the fallout when it occurs & will continuously right itself through contant planning for inevitable mishaps & executing best practices & industry gold-standard improvements. Maybe they've bitten off more than they can chew with a second location opening soon per reports & posts. In Manassas, plenty of other great places do fried foods extremely well. No more drooling over their food. We're left nauseated by the overly greasy food and with an experience tainted by shockingly horrible service & inconsistent food quality. To experience the decline of both food & service in a place that used to bring joy is a huge letdown. I cannot with good conscience recommend this place any more. This restaurant is no longer a good "complete package" value. Much competition exists & will exist in the area of the flagship & new location. Have already experienced a few of their "off days" over the past few years. BUT if you decide to try them because you believe this review is still an outlier, or you keep going there as a loyal customer, I hope you're lucky enough to catch them on a good day so that you get better food, better service, and better reception as a guest. This restaurant (and its "concept") is no longer one of our top 5 must-haves and has been decisively and permanently removed from our rotation.
