Ledos's pizza remains my go to when I want a really good pizza. It is a little pricey but its worth it. I was craving pizza so ordered one today. The lady behind the counter was professional and greeted me when I arrived and had my pizza ready. The pizza did not disappoint. Both of my kids loved it as did I. Hope this place never goes away. By the way, the steak and cheese sub here is tops. We've been to Philly numerous times for the cheesesteaks but my wife still says this Ledo's steak and cheese is unbeatable. read more

Ugh - last time I ordered a pizza here - I went with a large - with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, black olives, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and banana peppers - to go. I got the pizza home - and it tasted under baked. The pizza dough was soggy - and for some reason the pizza had an odd flavor to it - can't put my finger on what was wrong - other than it being undercooked. I'll have to try them again soon and see how it goes - the first pizza I ever ordered from here was really good - so I was disappointed to have my most recent pizza from here be such a flop! read more

Don't know how this place is still in business. Their website doesn't let you do a half and half w/the 2 topping football special. They forgot the onions we ordered, and didn't apologize when we told them; all they did was just dump more raw onions on the already cooked pizza. The pizza you crave...when you aren't craving pizza!? It's just different in a good way. Not where I would go if I had a craving for pizza but everyone and then I just have a craving for Ledo's...the sauce is sweet and the crust is flaky...they cut the pizza into little easy to eat piece. Overall I recommend trying it at least once. Be warned you might just start it in your regular rotation. They have decent cheese steaks as well...but don't go there thinking you are going to get anything close to what you get in philly, cause that ain't happening. I'm not a big Ledo's fan, but this is a pretty decent Ledo's chain. My nephew, who is 5 behaved really well during the day, so he was rewarded with pizza. So, Ledo's was the choice. I had the cheese pizza, which was very good. I love the jalapeno ravioli appetizers. Our server was very friendly. Our fries were cold, and she didn't give us any problems serving a new batch. I normally don't go to Ledo's, but I will definitely come back to this location when I visit my family in Bristow. read more

Okay, so we're moving from Manassas to Gainesville and we decided to try the Ledo's here. Again, not a bad place to eat, but the crust isn't what we're looking for in a pizza(and that's just a personal opinion). Consistency in product can be good, but it's clearly a premade crust and I'm willing to sacrifice consistency for a decent homemade crust. My kids still aren't huge fans, but it's definitely a good place to eat. My husband ordered the cheesesteak and enjoyed it. I had the buffalo chicken pizza and while not disappointing it could have been better. It tasted quite bland for something that should have a kick to it! So still Ledo's is OK, not the great, awesome, place I keep hearing about. We'll go to a new york pizza place if we really want pizza. Next time we go to Ledo's I think we'll try the pasta dinners. I've eaten at other Ledo's locations and enjoyed their food. Tonight in Gainesville was a complete disaster. We were a group of 15 for a teenagers birthday. We'd called ahead to let them know. They were fine with that. When we got there, only 2 or 3 table were occupied in the restaurant and they were gone shortly after we all got set down. First problem was the waiter. I really really hope he was new because he was nervous and not very competent. Had trouble keeping track of who ordered what. He'd bring 2 drinks and run back to get 2 more. Do they not have trays here? Then he struggled to understand the orders. I ordered the avocado and chicken salad. It's the only thing on the menu that says "avocado and chicken". He came back several minutes later to confirm I wanted the *salad*. But then it got worse. My salad was the first to arrive, about 20 minutes after we ordered it. It had big chunks of red onion and some kind of diced pickled peppers. I was kicking myself for not reading the description closer. It was so tangy/spicy I could only eat half of it. As we got ready to pay I read the description of the salad in the menu again. It didn't mention red onion or pickled peppers. It mentioned basil, which I didn't see any of. Apparently in a frenzy of meal prep, the kitchen threw random items on it. About the time I finished up, one more person got their food. 10 minutes later one more person got their food. Remember, we're a table of 15.... The cold cut sub ordered by the guy who looooooathes mayonnaise had extra mayo on it (45 minutes after he ordered it) because the guy sitting next to him ordered extra mayo on *his* sandwich. When we told the waiter he could throw it out (because the guy who'd ordered it 45 minutes earlier just wasn't interested in even letting them try again), neither the waiter nor the manager suggested or was open to taking it off the tab. The 4 pizzas we ordered arrived one. at. a. time. 45 - 55 minutes after they were ordered. They were the last things to arrive. The waiter was flummoxed and apologetic and frightened and helpless. When we asked to speak to the manager, he said the manager was "busy" and couldn't come. Turns out, there were only two people in the kitchen and the manager was one of them. When the manager did finally come out, he was quick to explain how busy they were (apparently with carry out because there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant) and how it isn't usually like this on Labor Day so, of course, things got backed up. He talked about all the things that went right with our order (and he was wrong about all of them). I guess he was expecting us to be soooo sympathetic to his plight that we'd ignore just how abysmal the service was. I strongly suspect that the carryout orders were given priority over our order. I think the kitchen was in full melt-down mode and the manager wasn't, well, managing. When the woman who organized the event suggested to the manager that something should be done / comped for the complete disaster of service, he said he'd take it under consideration. He came back and magnamiously agreed we wouldn't have to pay for our sodas and iced tea. That's just plain *cheap*. I have not been to this Ledo's before. I don't know if this kind of mismanagement is normal for them. I hope this was a one-time bad bad night. But if they mis-managed ONE (large) table of customers -- the only table that was occupied -- what are the odds the place is magically managed more professionally every other night? Ledo is only getting two stars because their pizza is a delicious indulgence. Ordered a pizza with two extra toppings. Girl who took my order didn't charge me for the toppings, but after I got there AND paid with cash, she decided she needed to charge me for the toppings. So, it was awkward with her trying to do math and then charge me after I had already paid. I also had to wait an extra ten minutes for my pizza, and I had already waited the estimated 25 minutes. I'm a fan of their delicious pizza, but the prices are redonkulous and I don't like having to pay several times, and also wait a crapload of time awkwardly. Have loved the pizza since the original location in Maryland, and have gone to to this location many times. Tonight tho, we had really terrible, apathetic service from a young waitress who we had to "interrupt" from her phone/earbuds twice just to get any drink refills. Food's always good, but the lone waitress spending her evening on the phone was laughable. Went back again tonight (months after our previous experience) and upon opening the box noticed that the cut looked like it was done by someone who had been drinking or simply didn't care. But if it's good, who cares, right? But upon further inspection, we noticed that it was extremely overcooked, and had VERY little cheese and less sauce. Very dry. Most of the cheese was blackened. Bit into one piece (cardboard) and called to get it replaced, which they did. So I drove back (another 30 minute round-trip) and the "cook" was waiting for me at the front desk with a smug smirk planted on his face. Thankfully, the pizza looked and tasted significantly better. No apology, no false empathy for my inconvenience. He just asked me to taste it before I left, which I passed on. I'm sure the high school "chef" did what most high school cooks do when people complain and spit in it or worse, and simply wanted to enjoy his handiwork. I have been to the flagship location in Hyattsville, MD (Near UMD) thirty years ago and several locations since then (they have expanded and franchised). Ledo is consistent. That's why WTOP listeners rated it #1 in the Washington DC area. Sauce is generous and not to acidic, toppings also generous. Our favorite is the Margarita pizza special, but all are good. We also like the Hawaiian. Now we have a location nearby in Manassas so we now go there for our pizza fix. A large easily serves 6-8 people. I usually get a large pizza for the three of us and take out the remaining half to have it as leftovers for the next day. Leftovers heat up nicely in the microwave, and are not soggy like other micro-waved leftover pizzas. If we dine in, we usually get the large Italian salad (entree) to share three ways--much cheaper than buying three side salads. Never been disappointed. Keep up the good work. Cheap Italian, but not particularly tasty to me. I've been in twice in the last few weeks, both times after 8 pm. Both times, the store was empty and clean, but many tables didn't have salt or parmesan on the tables, though other condiments were there. Ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce the first time. I'd rate it average. My companions had a decent looking pizza. Service was good. Last evening's meal was distinctly sub par. I ordered cheese ravioli that was about a centimeter thick at the edges, doughy, cold inside. My companions ordered a pizza (crust was very underdone) and a salad. The salad came out incorrect, so we patiently waited for our server to come out and check on our meals, intending to send the ravioli back to be heated, and get the right salad organized. Only...he never came out. Two of us were standing at the counter calling out "excuse me, sir" for ten minutes solid before giving up. The first visit I would have rated at a 3.5, this one, only a 2, so I figure 3 stars is generous enough. There are much better Italian places nearby, both chain and mom and pop. read more

Our football team called ahead and reserved a party. We gave them final numbers days ahead of time. The boys on the team all ordered the all you can eat pizza deal. With 11 or 12 boys eating- which Ledo knew about ahead of time- an hour after arrival the boys had split 2 small pizzas. The coaches had to go and refill drinks. All of the other families ordered soon after we arrived. The story goes on and on and gets worse and worse, but the experience was just awful. Ledos is one of our family's favorite restaurants but today we were disappointed in the Gainesville location. It was our first time here. Went for lunch to enjoy a calzone for $5 Monday. We waited more than 10 minutes before we were approached by a server and this was only after I asked. The server walked by our table 3 times without a acknowledging us. Placed our order and waited a very long time to get our food. I'm giving them 3 stars because the food was good but service was terrible. I felt sorry for the lone sever. It's not the server's fault. It seems to be poor management. I hope they get more help on busy Mondays. read more

First time I've ever gone to Ledo's, so it was a new experience for me. I got a large pepperoni and sausage, which was about $19. I thought it seemed like a lot for one pizza, but it was huge. It lasted my wife and I at least 2 dinners and a lunch. The pizza was pretty good, not great. I thought the crust was pretty good, flaky and buttery. I'd probably give them 4 stars if not for the service. I placed an order and the girl on the phone told me it'd be 30 min for pickup. So I get there right at 30 minutes, and I end up sitting in their lobby for an additional 20 as person after person gets their food and leave. I don't mind waiting, and it was a Friday so I understand it's busy, but don't make me come after 30 minutes when realistically it's going to be an hour. I'd rather wait at home than in the lobby with all those smells making me hungrier! read more

WOW just wow I must say.I went to Ledos for lunch the other day along with my two sons.I and the boys all loved it.For starters we ordered a round of mozzrella sticks and French fries.We only waited about 7 min,my waiter was very generous she checked back often to see if we needed anything.Then we ordered a medium cheese pizza.We went into that pizza like crazy it was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it.I have to say again I really enjoyed my meal and we will for sure be coming back. read more

I eat at this location often and i am usually pleased but today the service was horrible. I ordered pizza for my sons to share and steak and cheese sub combo. My soup came out 30-40 min later and so did the rest of the food we ordered. My sons pizza was the last to arrive. The pizza looked smaller than the last few times i ordered it. I spoke to the waitress about it and she said really and gave me a funny look so i said dont worry about it. She then told the manager and he came out with the pan in his hand telling me that he has made the pizza in the pan for 60 yrs. I didnt want to argue with him so i said nevermind. I then said that it is bad customer service to come to me with a pan arguing with me about the size of the pan used. He knew that the food took way longer then it should've and offered no apology. I am very disappointed to have experienced this because my son lpves their pizza and that's why we go there but after this we will not go back. Saw online that kids ate free on Wed. So I called to confirm. Workers there were clueless. They had to put the phone down to ask. I was told yes. I asked was it like 1 free for every adult.....nope all free. I even said I'm coming with 4 kids. So guess what happened when the bill came? Only one free. I told them I called and was told they were free......"Oh sorry" is what I got. Regardless of that screwup, service was terrible. There were 3 workers up front but only one was waiting on the 4 tables. I do like the pizza and recommend getting carry out if you must but I won't even go back for that. read more
