Extremely slow service. Ordered on the website 7:00PM, received email says pick up at 7:29 PM. Showed up 7:30, had to stand there for 20+ minutes, got pizza at 7:52 PM. That's almost 1 hour to wait on a large basic pizza. Do better! read more

Tries to place an order online- it said they were not taking online orders at this time. I then tried to call- rang for two minutes and phone was never picked up. Called again 20 minutes later and they picked up but placed me on hold. After two minutes, I hung up. Why bother. I guess this place does not want business. A bunch of kids running the place. 5/5, 2022-present, multiple visits. One of our favorite stops in the area. Spitony's is an old school pizzeria of the kind that used to be common before chain franchise model decimated them. The food is excellent without being overpriced or pretentious. The service is always friendly as you would expect in a neighborhood shop. But the star is that the place feels like a throw back to the better parts of our past without any of the drawbacks. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're anywhere near. read more

Amazing!!! We were traveling back home and wanted to grab something (local) that wasn't fast food. We ordered the cheese steak, the meat lovers pizza, fries and wedges. The food was great, but I would definitely recommend trying the pizza if you cant be a frequent diner. It is made from scratch (crust and all). The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, respectful and worked well together. We sat outside because the weather was perfect. Their food is pretty good. I can't say it's the best, but it's pretty good. When we went to pickup our food, the restaurant smelled a little weird, which wasn't the most appetizing sensation. Their pizzas are great, but the appetizers were probably frozen before they were deep fried. That's fine, but I can do that at home. The staff is certainly nice enough! I really wanted to like this place, since it's the closest place to our new home. Unfortunately our two experiences have been ok at best. Pizza, salads, subs and fries are all passable, but not great. Baked ziti was just terrible. Two of us ordered it and both threw it out after a few bites. Tasted like a famously bad grocery store brand sauce. Lots of cheese on top but not sure there was any mixed in with the pasta. Also topped with way too much oregano. Dish appeared to have been microwaved in the plastic container in which it was served. Had it been baked, If have expected an aluminum pan. Store is small, felt dirty and smelled awful when we were there. Sister restaurant two doors down has been great. Shocking two places under same ownership could be so different in quality. read more

Pizza is consistently good. Better than all the chain pizzas and not overly priced. Everything I have tried is good so far like the meatball sub, cheesesteaks, jalapeño poppers, fries and got me wanting to try everything else on their menu. Decided to stop by here after struggling to find some place to eat & we're so glad we stumbled upon this place! Ordered a large mushroom pizza for 2 & we devoured in just minutes. Pizza came out piping hot. It was well cooked with a nice crispy crust. Cheese was ooey-gooey & greasy. Tomato sauce was strong on the herbs & oregano which I really enjoyed. Good gluten-free pizza. Great service. I stopped in on my way home from one of my "memory lane" road trips. Called ahead and when I arrived the pizza was almost ready and came to me piping hot. Went in last night for a pizza. As a previous reviewer has so correctly stated, the dine in area is somewhat small, but the place feels like an authentic dive - in a cozy sort of way. I ordered the large 16" pizza, with onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, black olives, double pepperoni, double sausage, and double cheese, plus a bottle of water and a mug of Spitony's Ale. Total bill: about $33.00. I decided to eat in - so I grabbed a table, sat down and waited for my pizza. As I looked around, I noted some interesting pieces of decor, framed artwork depicting large ocean going vessels traversing the Panama Canal. When my pizza was ready, I realized I had ordered to large of a pizza, it was waaaayyy to much for me to eat in one or even two sittings. Oh well! I grabbed shakers of hot pepper flakes, cheese, and Oregano and sat down to chow. The pizza had a thin crust and the combination of toppings exuded a light level of saltiness in the perfect amount. Everything was hearty, tasty, succulent. Delicious!!! I was stuffed after three slices. I got a to go box for the rest of my pizza. I note there is a cluster of picnic tables outside to the side of the joint, so you could dine outdoors. There was a steady stream of customers coming in to order and or pick up pizzas. This is one of those no frills place that has stood the test of time and keeps cranking out great food.
