I ordered a manhattan club sandwich with no ham, tomatoes, and substitute provolone for Swiss. An extra large cheese with half sausage. Received a sub with club ingredients on it. I've been ordering here for years and never ever have gotten a sub instead of a club sandwich. The amount of meat on the sub was a bit excessive. I saw some positive reviews for their Cheesesteak so finally I tried one today. i adore a good cheesesteak but this one falls pretty far down the line compared to many other places. The flavor was a bit odd; I think they butter the roll and that's not belonging in a cheesesteak. the meat seemed cheap and I bit into a bb size piece of bone! the roll was almost too soft and full of grease. the sandwich really just fell apart. Went today, Sunday early afternoon the place was empty. There was no pick ups coming and going while I was there so I don't quite understand why it took so incredibly long to get a small pizza , over 25 minutes after cashing out. They make a thin chewy style pizza,not what I think of for thin crust pizza.. The staff was pleasant and the restaurant is clean so it's just middle of the road for me. The toppings stopped pretty far from the edge so I don't really think it's a great value at 12:99 for a small pizza with just vegetables . Soft drinks are Pepsi. With that style crust, calzones might actually be interesting, so I'll try it next time. I'm not going to avoid the place, but not going out of my way to get there either . read more

Manhattan Pizza finally opened today in Gainesville, VA! I ordered the cold version of their Italian Sub. It was fresh and tasty! They served it with oil and vinegar on the side. The pizza crust was dry and tough to chew. There was a very small amount of sauce beneath the cheese. And the pepperoni was paper thin, so as to be tasteless. Very unfriendly and rude counter staff. Asked questions responded was look at the menu. He was too busy talking to his coworker in the little nook with the computer, There was only one table with customers, their order was just sitting on the counter while counter staff was to busy searching the internet to serve customers. I've gotten take out from this location over the last year and I'm updating my review to 3 stars. Sometimes the grilled chicken in the Caesar wrap is so dry I have to take some strips out to throw away. The onion rings are mediocre. The pepperoni rolls are so delicious but so greasy they give me a stomachache a lot of the time. My husband loves their calzones. We really don't care for their pizza. Not a fan of the sauce, cheese or crust. The staff here is friendly and take out is easy, but it's not the highest quality food. read more

this place finally opened! went there twice so far and both times have been delicious. got the gyro and fries as well as a pizza since the place is called Manhattan Pizza after all. Gyro was very big and good! lots of meat and toppings. it is comparable to paisano's gyro and I like both of them. The fries they use are different though. pizza had fresh ingredients and tasted great! wouldn't say it's anything super special but it's not bad either. lots of toppings which is perfect. I personally think it tastes like papa John's and that's fine by me as I love papa johns. a bit pricier though for the same taste. biggest difference is the new York style so the dough is thinner here if that's your preference. inside decor is very nice and modern vibe. lots of spacious tables for seating as well as outdoor seating. What makes them unique is that they also serve Gelato! I didn't get any but had a free sampling and it was delicious. definitely recommend! read more

Had lunch less than an hour ago (09/18/24 1:00PM) at this location. Do yourself a favor and pass this place by. I should have known from the minute we walked in, the young man (quite tall with dark hair...(that's for you mgmt)) at the register was as indifferent as I've dealt with in my 20 years in the restaurant business. When he delivered our order to the table, he simply dropped (and I mean PLOPPED) or food on the table, not a word and walked off. Yes, they'll be nothing else, thanks for NOT asking. The Pastrami sandwich (my order) is most likely the worst I've ever had...no flavor to the meat and if that was spicy mustard on the bread, well vaseline would last better. My lunch partner order a wrap which had browned lettuce and was drowned in dressing, so much so she gagged after taking the first bite. She, never made it past bite three. "I'd rather starve" was her response. We quickly left, and will pass this place by for the deli up the road. Welcome to Gainesville. read more

Please, change the name to Gainesville Pizza and my expectations will equal the quality of the pie. I hate to trash someone's business, someone who is probably working hard, but don't fool a customer thinking they are getting an authentic NY pie. Real pizza crust is made from had rolled dough not a Boboli type premade crust. Cook the pie in a slate bottom or wood fired oven, not on a wire rack. I had the buffalo chicken. Too much cheese not enough chicken and lacked buffalo sauce. I had to ask for some to give me taste. Sorry to give 1 star, but I hope the franchise fee is not big$. From my 10 y/o: when we got to this place it had some yummy food on the kids menu that I would actually eat and guess what it only took a couple minutes to make the food and we got a LOT of food I got the buttered noodles. This place is right down the street from my house, we took a chilly walk this morning and decided to stop by for some warm pizza! It was DELICIOUS. Let me start with the place is impeccable, it has a little hand wash station in the eating area which is super convenient especially for parents who have little ones. They have a huge tv with all the options, our 3 year old enjoyed watching Moana while eating his pizza. The pizza was delicious, the crust was my favorite part, it was so buttery and flaky and just so delicious, I don't think I'll be ordering pizza from anywhere else. We order pizza a few times a month for dinner so this will be our go to from now on, the wings were a good size and savory too! And the GELATO OMGGGGGG MUST TRY IT! What you see in the pic is a large gelato, one small pie, and 10 wings, it was the perfect amount for our family of 3...our 3 year old asked for an extra slice of pizza though (after he ate he gelato) the only downside is that they don't really have kid drinks, (we don't really drink soda) but the 7 eleven is right there, so we got him some apple juice! I was in Gainsville for my nieces high school graduation and we decided to pop in here after since it was a Monday night and kind of late. The first thing I noticed and loved was that there was a hand washing station right before you get to the counter. It was very nice and fit their decor. I was hesitant about ordering because it was close to their closing time but the cashier was very nice and assured us it was not a problem. We ordered 3 pizzas, 1 of which was a truffle porcini pizza and it was mouth watering good! We also noticed they sold Gelato and came back the next day before catching our flight and bought Gelato and EVERYONE loved it. The cookie butter gelato was soooo freaking good. Not only is their pizza incredible (their crust is the best!) but their customer service is top notch! Tonight I ordered pizza and pizza rolls (to die for) at 8:11pm and they were at my house by 8:38pm! Our order was not only fast, but beyond delicious, and the driver was polite and courteous. They are a locally owned business and deserve all the praise and respect for doing their best during trying times in the restaurant business.
