I don't know how many years I've been coming here but I don't care how far the drive is but it's worth it! The service is still the same, fast pace and great! I wish the place was bigger though. There is nothing to complain; The food is done to perfection, made your own way/ how you like it.

Unfortunately I don't have many pictures of this little corner spot. My kid and I decided to grab some mac n cheese after our long ass day in the city before heading home. This place did not disappoint- it's really not the spot for sit down and dine in - if i had pictures you'd see why. However the mac was bomb and a great serving size for the both of us. I added some grilled chicken to it for the sake of protein. You place your order at the kiosk and wait - food was out in less than 10 minutes. I definitely recommend this spot and i will be revisiting. Next time i will take some pics of inside.

Thank you for being allergy aware! Was able to eat here with multiple food allergies! The hot food and quick service hit the spot on a cold day.

I found this place because I literally searched for "Mac and cheese" as I was craving my favorite food! There's a similar concept in Houston, so I was thrilled to find a new Mac-and-cheese-devoted restaurant in my new city!! When I arrived, it was almost 3pm so the restaurant was pretty empty, although it actually started to pick up a bit by the time I left. You order directly from a kiosk and you'll pick a table number so that they can bring it to you as soon as it's ready. I did a build-your-own option as I'm vegetarian and also wanted a specific flavor due to being a cheese snob. The Mac came out quick, piping hot and oh so fresh! It's served in its own little skillet, which helps keep it warm and is also just really cute. It was sooo delicious!! I combined gruyere with Munster cheese, added spinach and garlic then topped it with bread crumbs. Mmm mmm MMM! Also, they have a water dispenser near the entrance to the kitchen! I was happy that flavored sparkling water was sold here as I don't drink sodas, but I also snagged some free water while I was at it. Since summer is here, just know that they don't seem to have AC here! The restaurant was very open-concept. I chose to sit near a fan and the open "window" area in order to enjoy a breeze along with my meal.

I'm not the biggest mac and cheese fan but S'mac is a game-changer. The Masala did not hold back on the spices. So much flavor that adds depth to plain ol' mac and cheese. The Buffalo Chicken is packed with chicken pieces and plenty saucy. Honestly, a "nosh" was plenty enough for me since it is a very heavy and loaded mac and cheese. My boyfriend housed his "major munch" no problem (big appetite). S'MAC is a super casual spot--they have little kiosks in the front to order and you grab a number and a table and wait for a fresh mac and cheese skillet that they serve you.

Self order spot. If you're craving a Mac n cheese day, this is your spot. They have lots of options to add on, garlic, mushrooms, broccoli.. everything! You can choose to add bread crumbs which I recommend. Happy I made a stop here while visiting.

Have known about this place for years, but never stopped by until recently - not bad! Good variety of menu options of Mac 'n' Cheese, very filling portions, and reasonable-ish prices. It's a relatively small, laid-back joint with just 1 chef and 1 other person running things - yet people get served promptly enough. You can serve yourself water from a tank, or you can order any number of soft drinks or beer as well. They have a touchscreen ordering system that's pretty straightforward, you're given a number and served within 5-10 minutes tops. If it's your first visit, definitely recommend the sampler platter - has easily enough food for one person or a solid amount to share for two, and you get to try all of their main varieties of Mac 'n' Cheese in one go. We felt that their American option (as classic as you can get) was actually their best item in the end - with a few contenders for second place (including the 4 Cheese and the "Cheeseburger" options). Everything is quite customizable no matter what you order - you can add more cheese, more breadcrumbs, more sauce and so forth for literally anything on the menu. Their smallest size for any one flavor, besides the sampler, is plenty for a single person - but you can scale up if you want to share with other people. Their largest "Party" size costs $69, kinda curious just how much tonnage of Mac 'n' Cheese we're talking about there. Fun spot, would come back for sure.

Best spot for winter cravings and rainy day remedy! They have a substantial size menu- They have 3 sizes but honestly the smallest is alot(Nosh). The mac n cheese is super creamy and cheesy so even the small size is enough for 1 person serving. We got three flavors and shared. Best was their Chicken tikka! Loved mediterranean too-Alpine was just ok. Must try if you are a mac and cheese lover. Its not high end dinning place so yeah seating is pretty casual but they have alot of tables. Liked the casual vibe. Will defo return!

So comforting, so good. Fair price for the portion size. You really can't go wrong with the flavors here. It could've been a tad bit spicier but that's just me.

Food looked delicious but was just okay.

My son and I came here to have dinner after work today (8/6/25) and it was disappointing. We decided to get the sampler. All the mac & cheese were okay but the cheeseburger mac was horrible. The ground beef in it tasted sour. I'm almost positive that it wasn't good. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. @Santa .... We were there at about 8pm.

this mac and cheese changed my life. I don't crazy anything other than this mac and cheese at all it's consumed my every thought. I got the four cheese flavor. it's so good and it was amazing because it was snowing that day. you order on an ipad which is awesome and then they bring it right to you fresh from the stove in a pan and bubbling. so so deliciis3. you get to seat yourself as well.

    Samantha C.

Oh S'mac, how I've missed you. You may look different from years passed but you still have that same classic, cheesy charm. The menu hasn't changed much over the years and since it's been a minute I got my favorite, the Mediterranean. Nosh size, of course. Didn't eat there, instead I housed it down on my train ride home. As I ate, I reminisced about my college and post college days and those late night Mac and cheese orders. It was just as good, if not better than way back when.

Okay okay-- please get the smallest size (the 8in seems small in hindsight, but the cheese makes it quite heavy! The Cajun Mac was good, but it lacked the Cajun part (maybe I'll try another flavor next time!) Cheers!

Funny enough, we met our only other vegan friend there. So, from the vegan perspective, this is a popular and tasty place. We started with drinks, being lunchtime, we opted for non alcoholic drinks, the matcha colada and the salty maple macchiato. The matcha colada had a nice color but tasted mostly like coconut and pineapple which was still yummy. Friends ordered 3 different kinds of sushi and dan dan noodles with tofu. I was confused with the sushi as I thought vegans didn't eat fish...so yes I asked and was told that they probably made the "fish" with tapioca. I did try a bite of each roll (I was still full from the fest) and I was surprised that it tasted pretty good. They did a nice job with the roll and presentation. The matcha cheesecake was nice and creamy. I would not have known it was vegan. I don't normally like food that pretends to be something else because it usually doesn't live up to the real thing. The idea is that it is not pretending to be something but rather substituting with vegan options, I do think from a health perspective, I am more open to trying more vegan foods. Ambiance felt upscale and wait staff were helpful and congenial. I hear dinner time gets packed here. I may have to try again when I have not eaten already.

So what is Le Botaniste? It's an organic, plant-based, and carbon-neutral cafe with locations in NYC and a couple in Europe. So everything is vegan. Everything is organic. The calories and other dietary information are listed on the menu. I had their Chef Priyanka Samosa Bowl (a seasonal offering), which includes brown rice, saag, samosa balls, crispy chickpeas, turmeric onions, tamarind and green chutneys, and yogurt raita. It is 433 calories and 12 grams of protein. I thought it was good - although I thought the samosa balls were quite dry (the chutneys, saag, and raita helped), and I liked that it was light and healthy and wouldn't slow me down for the rest of my busy day. I also grabbed a water and a quinoa peanut butter cookie that I saved in my bag for later. (I noticed that they had some wines that I would have been happy to try - if you eat in, you can have a full experience with a drink.) The reservation email said they would hold the table for 15 minutes, and we arrived at about 9:43 after getting stuck in traffic. We were still within that window, but as soon as we checked in, the host immediately told us the kitchen was closing in one minute and that the bar would close in about 20 minutes, so we needed to place our food order right away. It made the meal feel rushed from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was virtually empty, but we were seated directly next to the bathroom. There were clearly plenty of other seating options available, which made that choice even more frustrating. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable bathroom odor from our table, which was really unpleasant and not what I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. Servers were also constantly going back and forth between the dining room and what seemed to be either a storage or cleaning area near the bathroom, so in addition to the odor, there was steady foot traffic throughout the meal. There were also papers or sugar packets underneath the table next to us, which added to the feeling that the dining room was not being carefully maintained. We ordered the paella, fig toast, and Calabrian flatbread. The food itself was fine in terms of flavor, but the rest of the experience made it feel understated and much less enjoyable than it should have been. The paella and toast came out quickly, and then we waited about 45 minutes for the flatbread. During that time, no one checked in, explained the delay, or asked how anything was. We honestly thought the flatbread had been forgotten. Then, after that long wait, the flatbread and dessert were brought out almost at the same time. The server explained that the kitchen was telling them to bring everything out at once. We had also ordered a bottle of Lambrusco, but it was not available, so we were given a different wine instead. Overall, the pacing and service felt very disorganized. We were rushed to order immediately, then largely ignored for the rest of the meal. No one asked how the food was, no one checked on the delay, and the timing of the final dishes made the meal feel chaotic rather than enjoyable. Even though the food was fine, the experience around it really took away from the meal. I also think there is a practical issue with the reservation timing. If the kitchen closes 15 minutes after the last available reservation, it does not make sense to offer a 15-minute grace period. Either the final seating should be earlier, or the kitchen should remain open long enough to properly serve guests who arrive within the stated reservation window. For a restaurant with Avant Garden's reputation and price point, I expected a much more thoughtful and polished experience. I wanted this to be a special birthday dinner, but we left feeling disappointed. I don't feel eager to return, and based on this visit, I would have a hard time recommending it to vegan friends.

It does well with doing the whole "fusion" schtick without losing the essence and flavor of the dishes. Pad Krapoa Moo Krob, the meat on the pork belly was so juicy - the pork skin was crunchy and chewy at the same time, flavors of Thai spice, basil, and bell peppers harmoniously working together to bring a balanced meal. The shrimp basil fried rice was delicious, a great alternative if you're not feeling the crab fried rice. The service at Obao is always prompt and helpful, whether it's questions about the menu or recommendations, anyone is willing to help. Inside Oboa is dimly lit, a moody vibe that is fun and invites playful conversations.

The hostess stated how she had a long reservation list, but was able to get us right in! Once we sat down, our server, Spaghetti, came over to us. He was extremely friendly and took our drink orders right away. I ordered an Espresso Martini, and it was delicious. My father ordered a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, which was extremely tasty. For our entrees, my mother ordered the Pad Thai, and my father and I ordered the Pho Bó. My mom absolutely loved the Pad Thai! The Pho Bó was incredible. The broth was so delectable, and it was honestly the best broth that I have ever had. The portions were also incredible, especially for the price and being in the city! Once we received the check, we noticed that next to the Pho Bó, it stated that it is Michelin Recommended, and we completely understand why! We are looking forward to going back!
