We were staying at a nearby hotel- and stumbled upon this spot in the wee hours of the morning. This location had been vacant for a few years, so we were surprised to see a bright yellow building with people sitting at tables. We ordered burgers and fries. Everything was piping hot when we got back to our room. These were hands down- THE BEST impossible burgers that we have ever eaten. The waffle fries were perfect. Next time we'll splurge on shakes. If you're looking for a late night vegetarian option- highly recommend checking them out. Service was fast and friendly.

Amazing vegan place. A "smash burger " with crispy edges and fantastic taste. Chili fries are good too. And a real bargain!

Popped in here for a quick bite. Their soft serve machine was down (it's giving McDonald's lol) so I just ordered a jr burger and fries. Both came out piping hot and tasted fresh! Fries were perfectly seasoned, and the burger was perfect. The guys working had such a good vibe that was appreciated!

Unexpected find! Was craving a burger but cutting back on beef recently. Stumbled upon this place online and figured I'd give it a try, not expecting much. Honestly, so many plant-based burger joints are either mediocre or just all taste the same. This was a really solid burger. I got their standard (OG Betr) with everything (lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, vegan cheese). Honestly, if you weren't paying attention you could be fooled into thinking this was just a decent regular burger from a fast food joint. Two smashed patties, great flavor. I was a little concerned about the cheese, but it really worked. If you're a veggie or vegan, or if you just are limiting meat--or just curious--it's worth a visit. No great seating, though some outdoor countertops, so maybe avoid if the weather is crappy.

This was my first time trying Jerrell's. This is a solid vegan burger. I've had a couple vegan burgers and this one is just right. The flavor is there and the textures are on point. The loaded chili fries were pretty good. The flavor of the chili was moderate but it compliments the fries and has a subtle sweet taste to it. The cookies and cream milkshake was good. It was smooth and balanced. For a spot with limited seating and spacing the service is pretty good. They accommodate for the space really well.

Delicious, vegan, walk-up to order burger spot. Waffle fries, Cookies and Cream Milkshakes, what more do you need?

This has to be the best vegan burger that I've ever had! I had the double which tasted amazing, very hot and freshly made. When I was a little kid, I always wanted a Big Mac, like my dad got. But he said I was too little to finish one. The first time that he said OK and let me get one, it was the best thing ever, though I was stuffed. This burger actually brought back that memory, except it's not beef this time.

Order a single fries and cookie and cream shake food was good. The special sauce was a nice flavor not sure what it's made of.

Looking for a quick dinner option as I waited for the Summer in the City event to start, I decided to try a Lil' Betr burger at a stand located at Lincoln Center. The price was reasonable, and if I hadn't known that the burger was Impossible meat, I would have not been able to tell the difference. The burger was delicious and juicy. I also appreciated the ingenious burger wrapping -- I was able to enjoy my burger cleanly without having to touch it with my likely dirty hands. Based on this positive experience, I plan to stop by the actual location to try another burger, as well as their sides and dessert, the next time I am in Soho!

I was excited to try Jerrell's vegan burgers following an after party that had sliders and fries but no vegan option for myself. The shop is small with a few outdoor tables to dine. Definitely a grab-and-go kind of vibe. Let's talk about the burger itself. It's an impossible burger with vegan cheese you can get at the grocery store, but the way they prepare it together gave me that charred taste that I enjoyed growing up. For $14, it's a pricy burger but it did taste good and hit the junk food cravings. The Chili Cheese Waffle Fries however came in the smallest container ever. For nearly $10, I was expecting at least double the amount of fries for a rather small amount of vegan cheese and chili on top. We also tried a Cookies N' Cream Oat Milkshake, and that was a good treat. Overall, the meal was good but a bit pricy for the amount of food that we ended up getting. I'd come back for the burger if I was really wanting one but would skip the loaded fries.

I tried out the oat milk soft serve, and it was pretty decent! You can get free toppings including sprinkles or cookie crumbles. I got both. Refreshing little treat on a nice day. They do have some seating inside or outside. It is smaller tables. They also have standing tables on the side for larger crowds.

Vegan burger joint run out of a little storefront with a few bistro tables. Love the smash style approach to the impossible patty and thought the other ingredients tasted very fresh. Not a bad deal ($9 for the Lil Betr) either! Service could've been a bit faster (our waffle fries were a little cold... so I'm thinking they forgot to bring out our order when it was ready?) but maybe that was just the pre-burger hangry-ness talking.

    Renee B.

Yum! Very Very tasty. I want one of these near me in the worst way! I got the single burger with vegan bacon. This is what a every plant based burger should taste like. I'm only sorry I didn't get the double . I also had the waffle fries with the special sauce for dipping . Little tables in an outdoor enclosure are the only seating available.

The dining room is spacious and with a nice ambience between the lighting and artwork of willow trees. For dinner - I had the whiskey BBQ brisket and fries. The texture and taste of the "meat" was fantastic. Most meat eaters wouldn't even realize that they are eating plant-based brisket - it was that good! Our server "Teddy" was attentive, informative, friendly - and with a clever sense of humor. The price paid was commensurate for the quality of food and service received. Vegans, omnivores, and explorers alike - should try Willow Vegan Bistro!

This sandwich is usually not something that is available vegetarian so i was curious to see the flavors and textures. The steak is chewy and meaty so if you are not a fan of faux meat then i would proceed with caution. I enjoy the cheeses here as they are unique and different from each other. The sandwich overall was okay though not my favorite sandwich ever. - smoked Mac and cheese (7/10): macaroni with smoked goat cheese, cheddar, mozzarella baked in a cast iron skillet and topped with vegan pancetta and breadcrumbs. This was a cozy appetizer especially on a cold day. The flavors of the cheese are rich and smoky with a hint of saltiness from the pancetta and breadcrumbs. I would have liked it to be a larger portion and offered as an entree. WOULD I GO BACK? Maybe. I liked the ambiance and the option to try dishes that are usually meat heavy but the cuisine is not my personal favorite.

They take pride in their restaurant's offerings, as they should. My server was wonderful, offering suggestions to this first-timer. I started with a Volcano Roll - hearts of palm substituting for fish. Well balanced and delicious. Next was broccoli "beef" - fresh broccoli and shitake "steak" with mushrooms really balanced the dish. I ended with something so unnecessary and so wonderful, I'm glad I did it: The sticky toffee pudding. Just pure delight. It was relatively quiet when I was there. I could see how it could get a bit noisy if it were crowded. But even so, the people who visit are friendly and I ended up having a great conversation with the table next to me. I'll be back. I'm not exactly local, but it's definitely worth the trip! Planta is on my faves list now!

Funny enough, we met our only other vegan friend there. So, from the vegan perspective, this is a popular and tasty place. We started with drinks, being lunchtime, we opted for non alcoholic drinks, the matcha colada and the salty maple macchiato. The matcha colada had a nice color but tasted mostly like coconut and pineapple which was still yummy. Friends ordered 3 different kinds of sushi and dan dan noodles with tofu. I was confused with the sushi as I thought vegans didn't eat fish...so yes I asked and was told that they probably made the "fish" with tapioca. I did try a bite of each roll (I was still full from the fest) and I was surprised that it tasted pretty good. They did a nice job with the roll and presentation. The matcha cheesecake was nice and creamy. I would not have known it was vegan. I don't normally like food that pretends to be something else because it usually doesn't live up to the real thing. The idea is that it is not pretending to be something but rather substituting with vegan options, I do think from a health perspective, I am more open to trying more vegan foods. Ambiance felt upscale and wait staff were helpful and congenial. I hear dinner time gets packed here. I may have to try again when I have not eaten already.

The space was super clean, calm, and had a vibe that felt authentic to the cuisine. The staff was also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and fast, which made the whole experience even better. But the food is what really blew me away. I got the Korean Wild Green Tea First Picked, and it was unreal. Yes, it had that beautiful green tea character, but it was so much more layered than that--smooth, complex, almost naturally sweet, and honestly one of the most memorable teas I've had anywhere. I also ordered the iced matcha latte, and it was easily the best matcha latte I've ever had: no grittiness at all, just incredibly smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We also had the baby dumplings in spicy sauce, popcorn shrimp, fried Manchurian cauliflower, spicy kimchi pancakes, Peking duck baos, and the duck rice bowl. Every single dish was excellent. I'm still baffled by how well they nailed the shrimp texture--seriously impressive. The flavors across the board were rich, creative, and satisfying without feeling heavy.
