C.H.P. Sandwich (chopped cheese)
Christina L.

This place is amazingggggggggg. Came here two days in a row and both times my order was fire. So far I've tried the chop cheese and the e.n.c., which is an egg n cheese sandwich on a roll. The chop cheese was great and they use a beyond patty for the beef, so if you've tried a beyond burger before you pretty much know what this'll taste like. It's fresh, meaty, cheesy, and messy (which is something I miss sometimes). However, while I did enjoy the messiness, I think because it was on a hero it didn't hold together that well and the sandwich would fall apart pretty easily. I think I enjoyed the e.n.c. much more, surprisingly. The tofu was so soft and gave the same texture/taste as eating egg whites, another pleasant surprise. The cheese they use is also very creamy and cheesy, and has a pretty similar melted quality as real cheese (not exactly, but close enough without tasting/feeling off). I ordered this to-go to eat with some tomato soup I had at home and it paired so DELICIOUSLY.

It only took 3 decades of life for me to finally experience what it's like to eat a BLT. With seitan replacing the protein that I'm otherwise forbidden to eat on two counts, the CLT at ATM is an immensely satisfying sandwich, with a simple sourdough base and a subtle layer of mayo that wouldn't have struck me as "vegan" outside of this context. The loaded cheese fries are made with perfectly crispy potatoes and a vegan cheese sauce that tastes less artificial than whatever they use at Nathan's. There are only a few seats inside, but ATM is serving up some of the best vegan cooking in the city.

It's awesome that this deli has an all vegan menu. They offer a plant-based take on many classic sandwiches. I ordered delivery. I was a bit disappointed by the loaded chopped cheese fries. The fries were soggy and the special sauce was sour. It didn't taste very fresh. I also got the CHP sandwich and enjoyed it. The beyond meat patty was juicy and complemented well by the other ingredients. The katjes rainbow gummies were slightly sour and hard to chew. So even though I wasn't totally satisfied with my meal, I'd still give them another try and order differently.

I walked 1.5 miles for a vegan BEC on a recent trip to Brooklyn and was not disappointed! Food was ready relatively quickly, cashier was kind.

BEC

I had been to their pop up a bunch of times and finally visited the brick and mortar. It's almost impossible to find a vegan BEC that tastes like a BEC but they pull it off. The tofu's resemblance to an egg is uncanny. Highly recommend!

The bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll is quintessential New York, and thanks to A.T.M. Vegan Deli, one that I now get to experience. And it's even better than the original. AVD's BEC needs to be studied. The tofu over easy and cheddar yolk sauce on a roll is creative and brilliant and a bite with the maple wood smoked mushroom is golden. Hands down, one of the best bites of the year. The BEC is just the jumping-off point to a menu that offers delicious vegan versions of classics like the Reuben and chopped cheese, allowing vegans a chance not to miss out.

A.T.M. Vegan Deli is my go-to vegan comfort food. I love their B.L.T. and Caesar Salad. Their French fries are da bombb! Great service and super quick all while being freshly made upon ordering.

This place is a T.A.D., tiny, adorable, delicious. With only two tables it's small but man are the flavors large. I ordered a bec cause I didn't want to believe the morning was truly over. Delicious, fresh, hot! The fries were really good too. Would def return, hidden little gem that I've passed countless times. A fantastic vegan lil spot

Tofu Salad

One of my favorite vegan spots. It's a cute little walk in shop, with a couple seats indoor and outdoor. All of their items are tasty and unique. The tofu salad tastes very similar to actual egg salad. I cant get enough of it. My go to sandwich is the Sausage Egg and Cheese. The tofu substitute for egg is very satisfying. Another honorable mention is their tuna salad. Absolutely one of my faves in the rotation. I definitely recommend stopping in for breakfast or lunch.

Who are you and where have you been my whole life. The sandwiches are OUT OF THIS WORLD. There are no words for this level of perfection. The flavor and level of technique they have put into making this sandwich nothing short of amazing is just insane. My sandwich was delivered and they wrapped it in aluminum foil. My favorite was the SEC combo I liked it more than the BEC. I MEAN REALLY THIS PLACE IS IT. I will definitely order again and highly recommend it. Thank the vegan gods for this deli because they are not playing around. How the heck do you make vegan egg runny yolk? Only ATM vegan deli will know but I'm a huge fan! PURE GOLD SPOT!

The BEC sandwiches are better than the real bacon egg and cheese I used to eat when I was a kid. Andy is the best and works hard.

We finally made it to Modern Love. It's been on my list for years now because Isa Chandra is like…read morethe OG vegan chef. We happened to get there during brunch for our first visit, which was great because it was a mix of both lunch and breakfast options. We split one main dish from each part of the menu. The Tofu Benedict was the best Benedict I've ever eaten IN MY LIFE, and also top three best breakfasts I've ever had. The smoked tomato is what makes that dish extra special. The rosemary home fries on the side were also incredible and I'm really picky when it comes to potatoes. We also split the Chickpea Parm sandwich but I was so full that I ended up taking a majority of my half sandwich home. Which was perfect because it was even better cold! The Italian flavors mixed with the savory chickpea patty and the bitter greens was just perfect. The only thing that wasn't great (not docking any stars for this) was dessert. We ordered the Strawberry "Tiramisu." I'm putting Tiramisu in quotes because I detected no espresso and no cinnamon. It was super bland. I let my husband eat most of it. Would not order that again. I am looking forward to returning! The wait staff were really friendly, the ambiance was super pretty, and food came out super fast and hot. Perfection.

Warm atmosphere, a strong selection of vegan food and drinks, and the kind of place that made the evening feel special without trying too hard. It's since closed, and from what I understand it wasn't about the food or the love from regulars, it was the brutal economics of running a sit-down restaurant in a delivery-and-takeout world. Nine years of serving genuinely great vegan comfort food in Williamsburg, done in by margins rather than quality. That's a rough way for a good restaurant to go. If you ever got to eat here, you know what was lost. If you didn't, I'm sorry you missed it.

The store is small and cute as well as the restroom. I called to place my order because apparently people said they take a long time, but they would not take my order over the phone, only at the kiosk when I arrived. There were two kiosks for you to order your food and pay for it online, pretty easy. Took maybe 20 minutes, cook to order is preferable. I ordered the Fussy Hussy cheeseburger which had lettuce, tomato, sparse thin caramelized onions, pickles, and cheese on a vegan burger, I got the slutty sauce on the side because I did not know what to expect, & I'm glad I did that. I forgot to order my fries without salt, but it was a chance I took and regretted. My commute was 1.5 hours back to Long Island. No big deal as I'm used to deconstructing burgers especially, to toast the bun. The bun looked like something I would've gotten out of a cafeteria school lunch as you can see from the photo. The burger was Impossible similarly branded, I'm assuming, and the toppings looked fresh. But everything was edible and did not look dried out. The french fries seemed like they were just regular crinkle cut fries with tons of seasoning on top, unfortunately to where they were so inedibly salty which made it difficult to enjoy. FYI: there's probably so much seasoning in the collection tray that you don't have to keep adding it whenever you make a new batch. I was able to salvage at least 15 fries out of about the generous amount of 70, lol, and they look like they weren't seasoned too much, I dipped them in the slutty sauce which made it worse. I disposed of the fries and the sauce. Overall, Slutty Vegan was OK, definitely not worth $25 for a meal including a tip, never mind the distance. So when I want a burger, I'll just go to Burger King for an Impossible Whopper and have it my way.
