Why is this place rated so low? I have no idea because is the absolute BEST Mac and cheese I have eaten in this city. Besides, the amount of options available are huge, they have gluten free, low carb, lactose free, vegetarian and vegan alternatives. Everyone can eat. The dynamic is very simple, you go inside and order your own food from a machine, grab a number and when your order is ready it will be served to your table. Both of the options we tried were INCREDIBLE and huge! We had in the "major munch" size the Alpine (Swiss and bacon) and La Mancha (manchego, fennel and onion) the last one was a little spicy but it was not advertised as spicy. I handled it well, however if you don't like spicy food this might no be a good option. I want to come back and try all other flavors. They even have a sampler option enough for 2 or 3 people where you can try 8 flavors for less than $20. Wine? Beer? Juices? Cocktails? They got them all. The place could have been more organized. Neat is not a word I would use to describe it but, it was very cozy, the tables were confortable, the food amazing and the price unbeatable. (From $7 to $20) If none of the options offered in the menu catch your eye, you can also build your own bowl. If not sure about the right size, samples of the dishes are exhibit in front of where you order. Seriously, please just go and do not pay any attention to any bad reviews the food was delicious, however don't expect this to be the place to take a date, because it's not. So earlier this week I had an issue with something at the restaurant. The owner QUICKLY responded and made an effort to make things right. That alone really says a lot about how they run their business and shows that they care about their customers. This is very good to see especially since less places nowadays are run by people who care. That alone is why I will keep coming back here. I used to work for a restaurant years back that was managed and owned by people who didn't give a damn about their customers which could be a reason they went out of business. A four only because I think a lot of marketing and influencer videos don't capture that this is more of a fast-casual spot. You order on a screen and take a number to your table and it's out in a few minutes. Very fun fast-casual for sure! Lots of very neat flavors. Cool place to check out if you are in the area . Upon arrival I was greeted by a woman in who I thought was homeless since she was outside I think they hire her but she was so sweet and cool she bussed and cleaned the tables as soon as any one left she was quick and her energy is great. On the screen it said 20-30 min wait but we got our food within 10 minutes It's wheelchair and stroller accesible! We got the sampler our least favorite La Mancha, Parisienne. It's a place focused only on mac 'n' cheese, and it's been around forever. You kind of know what you're getting into with that. Thing is, it's not the most pleasant dine-in experience anymore. There are heavy plastic curtains separating the dine-in section from the pick-up section, even though you have to go to the pick-up section anyway to place your orders via tablet and get water/napkins. Social distancing is a joke, and even though there is a big space heater running at all times in the dine-in section, it'll still be freezing. We got the Sampler ($17), which included: All American, 4 Cheese, Cheeseburger, La Mancha, Cajun, Napoletana, Alpine, Parisienne. The best was the Cheeseburger and Cajun. And the universally hated one was the Parisienne. Who thought adding sugary figs to mac 'n' cheese was a good idea? It wasn't.
