Delicious donuts, kind workers, and a nice space with good airflow when they open up the big door!

I always come to SloDoCo later at night and I love that not only are they open in the nighttime, but that they always have a good selection of donuts to still choose from. My favorite is their lavender donut. It 100% tastes like real lavender and not like a sickeningly sweet syrup. It's so satisfying. All of their donuts are so creative and delicious. I'm not a vegan, but I really love their vegan donuts. It's like healthier decadence and you can't beat that. The prices are a little higher than that from Sunshine or some of the other donut shops in the city, but you're paying for creativity and uniqueness and I'm okay with that. I love the inside and how they have social distance markers. The inside makes you feel like you're stepping into a cozy, cool hang out spot and while with the pandemic, that's not necessarily available right now, it does create a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. After rocking his Ozzy costume all day for Halloween, my boyfriend and I got a real kick out of how jazzed the staff was to see him as Ozzy. True craft donuts of all kinds. Different styles, dough, toppings... you name it. The people there are helpful and pleasant. The prices are fair for what you're getting. Ample parking including a Tesla supercharger across the street. Definitely worth a visit! read more

I love coming to SloDo Co! They always have the cutest donuts and I love seeing all the seasonal ones! I got a snowman one, gingerbread guy from shrek, and the muddy buddy one that was called reindeer food! I just forget they are a bit pricy, but worth it in the end! read more

The new SloDoCo in Atascadero is quite small compared with the SLO location. With that, I give a suggestion to the owners: Figure out how to move people into the lobby and either form a line or use a ticket dispenser like a butcher counter. Without directions, people will stand 4 to 5 feet away from the cashier if next in line. This causes incoming customers to have no room to stand in line. This could quickly be solved by marking or painting a line 2 feet from the cashier that says : Line starts here. The cashiers are confused too as they repeatedly asked,"Who's up next?" As for the donuts, they are way above average and will keep the bakers busy. Plus is a reasonable price on the coffee and espresso. read more

Yeah, the creativity is at level 10. They have some really great flavor combos (and some not so great, but that's ok). My biggest beef is that I rarely feel like I'm getting a fresh donut. I don't know if its the time it takes to fancify everything, or their recipe, or maybe they don't bake often enough.. But honestly, 9 times out of 10, I'd prefer a regular ole donut from a regular ole donut store because they taste fresher. They're not cheap either. Maybe that's why the freshness bothers me? When I'm paying $2-$5 per donut, that's almost desert entree pricing, and I expect more freshness, over a less-than-$1 donut. I will say the staff are always nice and friendly. read more

Whoa, awesome donuts! They are super fresh, actually the freshest donuts I've eaten... Starting with the donut holes, my kid's favorite. I also loved the cream cheese pillows. I tried their Lavender gluten-free donut and it was like eating a glazed cake, yum! They also have vegan options and a great variety of donuts. Lately, this has been a place I like to go to and relax. I really dig their patio, and having the option to play corn hole is pretty awesome too. The selection of donuts is hit or miss in the afternoon/evening (typical time of my arrival), but they have been tasty. I still feel there is a bit of a variance in what I am charged depending on who my cashier is, but who knows. Maple Bacon Donut YAASSS. Elon Musk had the right idea putting the Tesla Supercharging station right across the street. I was pretty bummed that the charging station in SLO was not in walking distance of SloDoCo, and viola! There is one here. My boyfriend and I plugged the car and metaphorically hop-step-jumped into the shop. The place is super trendy. We came on a weeknight so it wasn't that crowded. But they had ran out of Maple Bacon Donuts ): Even though they had other creative ones, like cat-shaped, rainbow galaxy marshmallow, nothing beats the maple bacon. Instead, my boyfriend got a raised Matcha Coconut, and I got the cake lavender with rainbow sprinkles for $2 each. They both tasted okay. The lavender was a floral bomb. I really like floral, but this one was just way too much and past the point of enjoyable. I liked the Matcha raised better; the texture of the raised donut was nicer than that of the cake donut, but I could barely taste the matcha. Conclusion: stick to the maple bacon. read more

I am vegan and was looking for some tasty donuts. Unfortunately, they only serve vegan donuts on the weekends, which wasn't listed on their website. SLO Donut Company, AKA SloDoCo is now open in Atascadero. I'm not a donut eater, but yes, I give them 5 stars. The créme brulée donut is the most delicious, creative donut I've ever tried. The dough itself is nothing special, in fact it tastes just like the frozen, pre packaged stuff every other donut place uses. But the accoutrements are what make the donut! The dough is just a vehicle for the homemade, burnt sugar creme custard and that luscious brulée sugar top. They have other really creative offerings that I've got on my list to try, such as a boysenberry cream cheese filled and the Voodoo Donut-styled bacon donut. read more
