Arrived too late in the day for the pies we wanted (they were all sold out!) but the place smelled amazing and I just had to buy something so we went with an Earl Grey scone, oatmeal raisin cookie, and a double chocolate cookie. The scone was incredible - sweet and crunch on the outside, soft on the inside, absolutely delicious. One of the best scones I've ever had. The cookies were good too, but that scone... wow. I went on a Sunday in the late morning (around 10:30am) and got some wonderful baked goods. Some pies were still in the oven since they had pretty much just opened so if you want to try it all, maybe time your entry or call ahead. The crust on the mixed berry pie ($10) was buttery and the filling was tart which I appreciate. I thought there may have been a bit too much crumble on top but it was so good can you really have too much?? The earl grey scone ($5) was spot on flavor-wise and wasn't too sweet. The chocolate chip cookie ($3) actually blew me away. It has a high fat/butter content so the edges are crispy and the rest is gooey. Dropped by on a late afternoon and many of the pies were sold out, but fortunately there were two slices of blackberry pie left for us! The price is a bit steep- $7 per slice but we love supporting local businesses so we went for it. Very good pie. I probably would have wanted it al a mode with ice cream and coffee in an ideal world! My daughter bought the lemon cream pie for my birthday celebration yesterday. The filling was perfectly creamy and tart. The crust was graham crackers I think but was too sweet for me and I usually think graham cracker is too strong and conflicts with the lemon flavor do I don't eat the crust. Mouth-wateringly amazing pies and empanadas! As soon as you walk in the door, you're met with the amazing smell of baked goods. We went for lunch and dessert on Pi day (3.14), and, even though they were busy, the staff was very kind and friendly. My sister ordered two chicken pot pies from long distance for our birthdays. That was the toughest crust (on both) and the filling was dry.

Disappointed in our visit this morning. Took my 1 year old in for a cookie and was completely ignored when entering. We looked around at the display for a minute before standing in front of the register and still wasn't greeted. A lady came in, clearly knew the owner or employee working and was immediately greeted. With an extra warm welcome and her order being handed to her. She then stood right in front of us (mind you my toddler was at this point loudly chattering) so would be hard to miss us standing there. I waited kindly and finally the lady said "oh did you wanna go ahead" and the lady at the counter still said no words so I just ordered a coffee and cookie. Probably would have just left but my daughter was set on a cookie. I work in the service industry so I normally wouldn't even yelp but this was super disappointing. I really hope this was just an off day and we weren't purposely ignored until a customer acknowledged we were there. Probably won't come back after this. Coffee to top it off was mediocre and really bitter. read more

This review is long overdue. We randomly discovered this pie spot driving soCal to norCal. My kids needed a stop and a snack. Now every time we make the drive, the kids ask to stop at the "pie shop". Bramble bakes their pies, cookies and other goodies fresh. It's always a treat for us and the flavors of pie are seasonal. All in all, we very much adore this bake shop. Side story: We once stopped by in the fall eating our apple pies and a customer came in asking for (almost demanding) a strawberry pie. It was entertaining to watch the customer's expression when the staff was trying to explain in three different ways that they only bake pies based on what's in season and freshly available. It reminded me to teach the kids that fruits are seasonal... because we forget that some common knowledge is not common. read more

The pie place was so cute, I really liked the homeyness the shop had with the plants and wall decor and the staff was extremely friendly. They serve more than just pies (quiches, cookies, empanadas, etc.) and they all look fantastic. I tried the pumpkin pie, coconut cream pie, apple pie, and the brown butter chocolate chip cookie. The pumpkin was my favorite, but I do wish the crust was a little more buttery. It was really hard, a bit dry, and didn't taste like much. Their cookies are huge but also just a little bit on the drier/crumbly side, not the crisp outside and soft inside I was expecting. While staying at a cute Airbnb in Atascadero, the host gifted me a gift card to Bramble Pie Co. While walking through town one afternoon, we stumbled upon the shop by happenstance because we weren't specifically looking for it at that moment. We walked in with our two dachshund pups and were greeted by a super nice and kind lady who we came to learn is named Shannon. We proceeded to have a wonderful conversation and a true human connection with her. They were about to close and she told us to come back in the AM for fresh pies, so we did. Again, the next morning, we shared wonderful conversation and kindred spirit connection. We left with two pies (chocolate silk and strawberry rhubarb) and two cookies (regular chocolate chip and chocolate chocolate chip); all of it was DELICIOUS! All this to say that Bramble Pie Company not only offers great and tasty treats but great service and hospitality. Thank you, Shannon, for being such a lovely, warm, and kind human being. Dutch apple pie- probably the best one I've ever had... ever. This is after we took it home, cut a slice and heated it in the oven on 350 for 15min. Pie crust is flaky and buttery. Inside is balanced- sweet but not too sweet, apples are soft but not mushy, and no sogginess!!! The crumble topping was delicious as well- glad there's a good amount on it.
