BEST CHAI EVER! This place is so quaint and cozy with many regulars that frequent it on a daily basis and the owners know them all by name (and have their orders memorized). Pretty cute cafe that is spacious but has very limited seating on the inside. They have a lot of parking in the area and honestly it seems like they encourage you to sit outside because theres a cute park across the street and lots of trees around. The service is super friendly and quick. It seems to have a lot of regulars and the barista tends to know most people by name. I'd for sure be a regular if I was local but I was just passing by. I'd come again if I was in the area. The coffee itself has a lot of flavor but they have a lot of "fun" drinks with a lot of syrup options. What's amazing is that it has options to get blended or iced if you're looking for a cool summer option. 4/5 because the space is a bit cluttered on the interior and Im not sure about the quality and freshness of the pastries..... This was a hidden gem that my wife found out to grab our morning coffee. We drove and ended up here as per the parking available nearby and we are glad we found this place. A cute little cafe that is well made from the interior with plenty of seating. The staff is super nice. We even had a good time with a few local people who came for getting their morning coffee there. Coming to the food - we tried 2 coffee and 3 breakfast food, and everything was very too good. I love it here! The staff is so kind! The smoothie are what I love the most, the coffee is yummy, and the treats are delicious. I order the Lg Carmel Mochaccino and Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito. The Carmel Mochaccino is always blended perfectly. Smooth, sweet, creamy, coffee, carmel, and refreshing. It is the best blended Carmel drink I've EVER had! The Veg Breakfast Burrito is an awesome quick breakfast. The burrito is served hot, with salsa on the side. The egg, cheese, potatoes, mixed with the veggies, give you that omelette with home fries, all wrapped in a burrito vibe. Perfect and filling. Best black velvet ever! Thought that I would just have a simple black coffee. But this is extreme. Amazing. Love this place and it's people.

We have been wanting to try this place forever. We are so glad we finally did. We got two blended coffees and a veggie burrito. We got the Carmel mochachino and the mochachino. Both drinks were delicious. I would have to say they are the best blended coffees I have ever had. The burrito was also delicious. It had egg, potatoes, onion, and peppers wrapped in a tortilla. You could tell it was homemade and not a frozen or packaged burrito. I can't wait to try their other drinks and food options. Everything looks good and if it tastes as good as today, we will become regulars. The owners were friendly and we didn't have to wait long, even though it was busy. The coffee was very comparable to starbucks. I was exploring different coffee shops to get away from the usual starbucks taste but this one was about the same. I did get the white mocha so perhaps I just wasn't a fan of the sweetener they use, so I'd be willing to try something else, but I'm not too sure as white mochas usually determine if i'll return back to a coffee shop or not. Stopped at this cafe right before heading back to SF because of the high rating. My iced vanilla chai was tasty but a bit sweet. I let the ice melt so it was better for my palate. My bf had a iced raspberry mocha which tasted rich and sweet. I think I liked his better because it had a strong mocha flavor. Because of his drink, I understand the high rating. I ordered an oatmilk latte and it was pretty good. The pastries didn't look super fresh, so I was bit hesitant to order one and they didn't have any butter croissants. Honestly, fuck this place. Been inside twice now. 1st time, I was looking at the menu, asked the man behind the counter if they had cold brew or anything similar. He replied "NO!" and gave me a death stare. I walked out. 2nd try today. Wife and I are looking at the menu. We are the only ones in the store. Wife begins asking a question to the woman behind the counter. The worker pretended she couldn't hear my wife (completely ignored her) and started helping customer who just walked up. Yesterday we were up in Atascadero and decided to stop for coffee. I saw Malibu Brew Coffee right next to the Sunken Gardens, so it was perfect. They really have everything there, not just coffee and ice cream, but also Italian sodas, teas, and food. I think I saw burritos on the menu too. After seeing something new to me, I ended up getting an affogato instead of the coffee I had started to order. It's ice cream with espresso poured over it. They have 16 flavors of ice cream, so I had a lot of choices. We got two affogatos one with Salted Carmel ice cream and the other with a coffee flavored ice cream that has chunks of chocolate in it. They were delicious. I'd like to try the vanilla one next time for a more subtle flavor. This shop was so cute! It was very clean, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The owners were so helpful and friendly. I love it when people take time to smile and engage with their customers, it shows that they care. The gentleman took his time to explain things to me, and even gave me suggestions. I love supporting local family run businesses. They're baaack! You can certainly tell the neighborhood is elated to have them in business again, the place was popping. Cool new location (on East Mall across from the sunken garden), sun-dappled interior, and ample seating in the outdoor patio area, offering plenty of shade and cool breezes, made for a nice welcome-back experience. No more car service, but plenty of parking in their lot, so step inside, secure a place in the quickly-moving line, and place your order at the counter. You can choose from their expanded food and drinks menu, or find comfort in all your old favorites still being there (like their unbeatably-good hot chocolate). They've leveled up their coffee, and are now serving Beach House Organic (so smooth), Doc Bernstein's Ice Cream (affogato, anyone?), and a nice assortment of gluten-free items (and milk alternatives) are available. The location is wonderful and right next to the Sunken Gardens so if we fancy a walk while sipping our drinks we can go on one.
