All the donut shops in our area were closed so we decided to give Dolly's a try. They had a great assortment of donuts on a Sunday afternoon. Service was great. The donuts were good. I like my donuts fluffy. These were not as fluffy as I would like them but they were not bad. I have had Dolly's in another location and did not care for them. I am glad that this is not the case here. read more

Very small do it shop. Had 2 staff working in the morning about 730 am. Quick service. Not a lot of choices. Very tiny shop. Not great for dine in. Outside the homeless are a problem and one was sitting on the sidewalk. They are constantly stealing from Albertsons and need to hire security for the center $1.90 for one glazed old fashioned donut. We walked in right at closing, half-expecting the "we're done for the day" vibes--but instead, we were greeted with warmth, big smiles, and the most welcoming energy from the wonderful woman working the counter. Not only was she cheerful and full of light, but she took the time to chat with us, learn a little about our sad, donutless lives in King City, and shared in our excitement for finding "the one." She was kind, polite, and had that rare magic of making you feel like an old friend. Now... the DONUTS. Oh. My. Goodness. DELIGHTFUL doesn't even scratch the surface. My middle child, grabbed a chocolate chip, chocolate-filled donut and held it like a precious family heirloom--no joke, not one bite was shared. Luckily, we had a second one (praise be!), and it was every bit as rich, sweet, and perfectly balanced as our donut-deprived souls dreamed it would be. We have tried the 24 hour donut spot on Spring and Twisted Glaze multiple times and the donuts here are the best. My favorite donut is a glazed twist. It has to be fluffy and glazed all over. This place always gets it right. The 24 hour donut and twisted glaze had the exact same terrible twist. They were both really dense and the glaze was awful. I wouldn't be surprised if the twisted glaze didn't just buy their donuts from the 24 hour spot. I don't know what the complaints are about customer service because we always have an extremely pleasant experience. They are so nice to me and my son. read more

Best tasting donuts in town by far! I've lived here for years and Dolly's Donuts is my #1. They have a good selection of fresh tasting donuts for not being a huge donut shop, easy parking too. I go in once a week and get my favorite apple fritter, I'm there by 6:30-7am and it's always warm. The shop isn't fancy inside but from what I've observed it's always clean. And I noticed someone mentioning homeless outside, I've only seen that very very few times and due to the city's efforts of managing the homeless hanging out in business areas I haven't seen any homeless there for a long time. I've never had an issue with the customer service, you're not going to get the warm butt kissing fuzzies or someone who runs their mouth and BS you so you'll leave a tip, but they've always been nice and courteous to me. Lastly some have commented about a $1 credit card service fee, this is a small mom & pop shop who ONLY charge a $1 fee if you're spending less than $10, this fee isn't uncommon in most smaller businesses! read more

Don't trust them. The donuts are adequate but overpriced. More importantly, I went in and asked if I could get a custom order. The woman at the counter told me no problem - just call the day before. I did that the next week and the guy that answered the phone said no way - what if you don't show up? No offer to pay in advance or any other solution. Didn't care that I had received a whole different story from another staffer. Went to SloDoCo in Atascadero who handled my custom order beautifully. They may not serve the most creative, outside-the-box donuts anyone's ever seen or tasted, but they're honest; and I feel they go the extra mile to earn your patronage. The donuts are great and so is the price! Here is my reason for a low rating: Summary: Main woman is rude and doesn't know what kind of donuts she sells. The main woman who I presume is the owner is incredibly rude. I have just moved into town a month ago and I've been looking for a good donut place. My boyfriend called the store to ask if they have blueberry donuts. She answered and said "No. Blueberry cake. I have customer bye" and hung up on him! He didn't even get to say anything else! I called myself about 20 min later and asked the same question "do you have blueberry donuts?" She sounded frustrated and gave me such terrible attitude over the phone. She said "no. blueberry cake. Do you not know what cake is?" And hung up on me! I decided to check the place out for myself the next day. First and foremost they don't sell cake lol The nice man in the front helped me. I asked him if they had blueberry donuts. HE SAID YES??? I ended up getting the blueberry donuts. I understand "cake donuts" but tbh its still a donut. Do I know what cake is? DOES SHE KNOW WHAT DONUTS ARE? Idk how or why this woman was confused. Idk why she had to give me attitude. I'd like to keep coming back because the man was so nice and the donuts are good. Small place but perfect for a drop by donut craving. We got a cinnamon twist, old fashion and a vanilla sprinkle. Tastes like the old fashioned one has more vanilla than ones I've tasted. Very flavorful. Cinnamon twist is huge! And very fluffy and yummy. Incredibly fresh (8:30am). The man there was very nice and was surprised my 5-yr old daughter didn't choose the pink one! So I used to be a regular customer over the years. Several years ago I noticed that the price had went up significantly and the quality started suffering. The chocolate they used no longer tasted like chocolate and more like a plastic or chemical taste. I assumed that maybe ownership had changed and/or maybe they started using cheaper ingredients. Either way I decided that this was no longer a regular place for me to purchase donuts. I have only been in there a couple of times since to see if anything had changed. It had not. Today I got a surprise. I went in and bought 3 donuts. It was still super expensive, $4.85. I went to pay with my card and the person behind the counter tells me that they are going to charge me $1.00 to use my card. What? Wait they are paying maybe 1.8% because of my using a Visa. That equates what, .10¢ or so? Certainly not a buck. Talk about feeling ripped off........ and the worst part the donuts didn't taste any better. They will no longer be getting any further business from me. Done being ripped off and now from local businesses? I DO NOT Recommend this place any longer! Great variety of donuts! I especially love that they have French crullers available daily as they are my absolute favorite. Everything tastes fresh and I have literally never gotten a stale donut from them. They have the nicest staff as well. The staff was exceptionally happy and cheerful, I mean laughing and smiling and genuinely happy to be of service and happy to sell me a bear claw. The bear claw was fresh, very fresh, and had lots of filling and I enjoyed this one a lot! This place is a bit hidden off in the corner of the Albertson's parking lot across from Walmart, but if you want a donut, or a dozen for the office, Dolly's is a very good choice. This is really the only donut place in Paso to go to for the freshest, most traditional style and all-around delicious tasting donut. I've lived here my entire life and it has been our only spot through all the years they've been open to find a great tasting, consistent donut. We got ham and cheese croissants and a couple donuts. All were very good and fresh tasting. The people that work here are so kind and sweet. We brought our daughter in after she had been crying in the car. The woman working could tell she was upset and added a couple extra donut holes in for her. Customer service was fine. Buttermilk donuts are definitely not buttermilk. All icing is too soft and runny, melts in seconds. My son didn't like his donut either, said it tasted weird. There's definitely something wrong with their recipes. Won't be going back. read more

First time customer and I ordered 2 dozen, nice gentlemen behind the counter threw in 4 more. All the different donuts were great.
