We stumbled upon this little place cuz all our favorite restaurants are closed on Monday. Ordered the grilled octopus on a plate, ranchero salad and shrimp taco. Everything was amazing. The service is limited at the cashier where you ordered first. Service was quick. Love the indoor and outdoor seating. Ambiance was relaxing and laid back. Good place to grab a quick bite. Suggesting to have a happy hour menu to attract more customers.

Crunchy Potato Tacos

I have a long history of ordering the wrong thing at new restaurants. If there is a weakness in their menu, I'll find it and inevitably order it. Of course that's not what I'm trying to do, it's just what happens all too often. Invariably, every time it happens, my Wife will have ordered something spectacularly good. So tonight I decided no way am I going to let myself screw up my order. I asked my Wife to order first. She ordered a salad. Ok, definitely not what I would've ordered, but I wasn't going to take any chances. I copied her order. It was a total lock. I had the menu beat. I knew my dinner was going to be great. And then I decided to press my luck. After I ordered my salad I asked my Wife if she'd also like to split an order of Crispy Potato Tacos. She said sure. When those potato tacos hit the table my eyes about bugged right out of my head. You know, there's Crispy and then there's Crispy. These tacos are right around that second Crispy. Deep fried beyond a reasonable doubt and to a moral certainty. To a delicious certainty. The edges of the potato filling are fried a deep golden brown. The inside is luciously firm and so satisfying. But what really makes those Crispy Potato Tacos so special are the sauces they drizzle over them. They complement the tacos so perfectly. Just as we finished the tacos the salads arrived. And those salads great. Just like I knew they would be. Because for once I admitted I suck at ordering off an unfamiliar menu and just copied my Wife's order. Not sure why I never thought of just copying her order before. Maybe because she orders things like a salad for dinner. Anyway, the whole meal was a gigantic success. Great tacos, wonderful salads. And they have Mexican Coke! Mikey C says: Copy That

It's a lovely original home in Paso converted into a restaurant. It has a nice wrap around outdoor porch with patio heaters and adjacent is a sunny outdoor dining area You can also dine inside but we ate on the porch as it was my first time and my son's 2nd visit. I wanted to be on the porch. A note about the bathrooms. There's 2 both being male/female. However the doorknob button was pushed in like it was locked but a buy opened it and saw me on the toilet. So it isn't locked even though pushed in. There's no secondary latch. It's counter Servuce. I ordered fish taco and a carne asada taco. I made no changes. I liked them both. Very good. I'm really glad I ordered 2 as it's not a lot of food and comes with nothing. No water either on table. I had a glass of sparkling wine $11 and Hunter had a draft beer ( 2 on tap). Hunter had the carbs asada bowl. We both liked the carne asada. It was tender. However his bowl looked like nothing but meat and chile verde sauce. No cheese no lettuce. No beans. Nothing but meat. The woman said the salsa in my fish taco was spicy as in hit but I consider it totally mild. No heat at all. I liked the food and would go back. I didn't like the aesthetic of the cheap looking IKEA like tables and matching chairs on the porch. It just didn't give the space any character. And felt cheap to me as we found our table but it was comfortable. There's street parking and parking behind the building. All free.

Once again, we had delicious ceviche and tacos here at Finca. We sat outside and enjoyed the sun on their deck. The food takes a bit but it's made fresh so it's def worth the short wait. The portions were just right. Their homemade salsa is sooo good! The fish taco was a bit short on the fish as pointed out by our server and she said she'd be bringing us another on the house. It never arrived. Hubby loved the duck al pastor and I liked the fish. The chile verde was a bit too mushy for our tastes but the flavor was good. Overall, a good experience.

Amazing fire roasted salsa- amazing flavor. With yummy guac

Food was outstanding! We tried guac, salsa, octopus taco, duck, carne asada and a pork belly taco. Best carne asada taco I've ever had. The duck and octopus were cooked and seasoned to perfection. (Along with everything else) staff was knowledgeable and friendly....coming back tomorrow lol

Always have to pop by Finca the little green house when Im passing through or staying in town. The meats are smoked out back. Fresh made tortillas & fresh produce sourced local. I've never had a bad experience here. Foods absolutely delicious! You have to start with the homemade chips & Guacamole. Enjoy!

Cutest restaurant ever! Love the decor, ambiance, and outdoor seating. Looks like a modern farmhouse. The inside is small, which is why they have large availability to sit outside. They offer alcohol drinks and bottled drinks, no fountain drinks. They have "specials" that aren't on the menu. Finca is known for their Baja and Sonora style food focusing on wood-grilled seafood and meat. We ordered the yellowtail ceviche. It was my fav! It does get a bit messy to eat due to the ceviche being on top of a tostada and the tostada is floating in the juice. I think maybe just having the ceviche in the juice and the tostada(s) on the side. Definitely makes the plate look aesthetic though. The flavor is amazing!!! We ordered 4 tacos (mushroom, Baja fish, Baja shrimp, and carne asada) and our fav was the Baja tacos. I think the mushroom one was lacking a bit flavor. I enjoyed my aperol spritz. We do think it's a bit pricey, but it's understandable it could be due to the seafood. As we were given our food, the staff had a nice conversation with us regarding the beer my partner was drinking. Whenever we're passing by or in Paso Robles, we will stop by!

Shrimp taco with chipotle

I was very intrigued by the Yelp reviews speaking so highly of the house made ceviche that I knew I had to try this place. I stopped in for a late lunch. This converted historical farmhouse houses this restaurant which is the latest project from the owners of La Taquiza in Napa Valley. Menu consists of shared bites, tacos, crunchy tacos (vegan), and oak wood grilled oysters, grilled octopus, and a grilled fish fillet served in a taco, burrito, in a bowl or salad. They are dedicated to using fresh and local ingredients in their dishes. Alcohol is available for purchase and consists of beer and wine. I was greeted warmly by staff and proceeded to order the ceviche special which was the Japanese Yellowtail Ceviche and a shrimp taco. I really didn't know what to expect and anxiously awaited the arrival of my lunch. This ceviche was so distinctive and unique. Ingredients included yellow tail fish, lemon aioli, crab, dijon vinigarette, avocado and tarragon oil. Served on a crisp corn tortilla. I really enjoyed the taste of the fish and the flavor had a nice spicy kick. I see now why people rave about their ceviche. The shrimp taco was also tasty, I just prefer my shrimp tacos grilled with no breading. Although it was quite warm, I enjoyed dining on the beautiful patio near the garden. I would love to return and try the grilled fish fillet. Parking on the streets nearby and a little on the pricey side but you can expect to pay more when ordering good fish.

I heard such good things about the breakfast burrito at this place but I was not looking for one on my visit. Today, I was in the mood for some tacos so I went with 3 different ones. They were all perfect! I got an asada, duck pastor, and chile verde. I couldn't decide which I liked best! The chile verde had an almost smoked flavor, the perfectly cooked asada was a classic, and the duck was perfectly seasoned with a spicy bite from the included jalapeno. The tortillas were fluffy and held on to the ingredients well. I get why some people might say they're pricey (6.50-8.50) but the quality of the food and ingredients stands out. This isn't your typical taco. My wife got the burrito bowl and was happy with the portion size. She went with the chile verde and said it was some of the best she's ever had. We added chips and salsa to share and it was full of cilantro, which we love! We drank the daily agua fresca and it was limey and perfect for a hot day on the patio. The service was quick and attentive. We'll definitely be coming back.

Really cute decor and friendly staff. The set up with the restaurant inside the house is really fun and the outside seating is so cute and I loved the seating around the fire pit, it looked like an amazing place to enjoy a margarita at night. The food itself was expensive. We paid $61 for 2 small tacos- Suizas and pork belly, chips & guacamole, one carne asada burrito, and a margarita. The food was plain in my opinion. The burrito was very limey and the tacos were pretty juicy but not very flavorful. The whole experience made me feel like i was at my super trendy and fashionable white girl friend's house who invited me over for Mexican food and it was cute and a fun time but food was bland. Also Maybe we ordered wrong, looks like the fish plates are more popular so maybe those are better!

Cut and pasted from their website: "FINCA is a casual restaurant which highlights Baja and Sonora style Mexican food with an emphasis on wood-grilled seafood and carne asada." Quality/Quantity - Not sure what happened, but we were supposed to eat at a winery today?!?! What happened to my reservations?!?! So my daughter picked this place. Simple menu, so I expected it to be done well. We got the following: Guacamole & Chips - $11.50, I expected more chips and guac... My picture makes it look much bigger than it was. For better reference, see the picture next to the two tacos. Taco Duck Al Pastor $8.50 - This was good. Tacco Chile Verde $6.95 - This was good also. Grilled Octopus + Salsa Macha $24.95 - This was good, but nothing like what I really wanted. I thought I was getting the grilled octopus tostada. I should have shown the cashier the picture I found on Yelp... I will take half the responsibility for the wrong order. I got more of an appetizer...? Rather than an entree...? Good thing we were not really hungry and actually going to dinner in a few hours, lol. Beers on tap, but I am drinking only wine on this trip. Atmosphere - Good size location. The outdoor space is way bigger than the indoor space. I do not think my pictures did it justice. You can also see the wood grills outside; see pictures. Plenty of street parking, as with all the other reviews. We were pretty much the only customers here. Yes, we ate at a weird time, 3pm; all those wineries putting us behind schedule, lol. Actually, if you are following, my daughter had us hit so many donut/pastry places prior to lunch. Plus we had a FULL Embassy Suites breakfast! Open 6 days a week from 11am to 8pm, closed Sundays. Service - Counter service. Price - $65 + generous tip; my daughter paid with my credit card, lol. $65 I feel kind of expensive for what we got, especially for a snack. Fancy Mexican food. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2021.

DELICIOUS!! Is all i can say. Cute little spot with some bombbbbbb food! They have a lot of sea food options. We got the Japanese yellowtail ceviche (probably our favorite dish of the evening), 1/2 order of oysters, the baja fish taco, duck al pastor, and tacos dorados. These were all yummy options that I highly recommend. We came at 3pm and service was very fast. They have indoor and outdoor seating which I loved. The bathrooms were a little dirty which is my only complaint. Other than that, I absolutely loved my experience at Finca and would be back.

Baja Fish and Pollo Suiza tacos

Luckily, we stopped by the Paso Market Walk and everything was closed except for Finca! Casual restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating on the porch to enjoy their beautiful garden. The service was quick to get our food out and she provided some other recommendations in town. We decided to try out some of the tacos, specifically the Fish and the Pollo Guiza. These were both really flavorful and the tortilla were ample to not fall apart as you eat. The Cruncy Tacos were the highlight of our order. I really liked the roasted salsa and the melted gruyere inside. These were fun! Finca takes care on making their food and it shows in the quality.

They also fry the tortillas a little bit which is always a touch I appreciate. The birria ramen was amazing. Hot (not spicy) filling, and super flavorful. The birria was tender and juicy. I kept expecting to get to only broth, but kept getting pleasantly surprised to find more ramen. The cooking area looked very clean. The seating area was clean too but I noticed a few stains on the table I sat at. Minor nitpick. I was getting takeout anyway so it wasn't a problem. I will definitely become a regular. It was sprinkling that day and this patio area was covered but had openings. So I had to get a hoodie and blankets to stay warm. We were the only ones there so surprised that it took awhile but I'll wait for good food. We started with chips and salsa, which were really crispy and freshly made. They also gave us a tray of three sauces and napkins. We ordered a carne asada quesadilla. Great portion and not light on the meat. We also had kiss Siberia plates three of those and we shared this came with five Quesabirria tacos. I'd say about the size of a street taco it came with of course the consume. First, the restaurant is quite small with a very quiet atmosphere--surprisingly so, especially with a jukebox that wasn't in use. The space didn't feel particularly clean, and the chairs were outdated and could definitely use some refurbishing. When we received the menus, I was honestly shocked by the prices. This is something I wish more reviewers had mentioned. We ordered a shrimp tostada (about $13) and shrimp fajitas (around $24). The shrimp tostada was disappointing--the shrimp was chopped so finely that it was hard to tell it was even there. It was overwhelmed by cucumber, tomato, and cilantro. The fajitas were similarly underwhelming: the shrimp were cut in half and curled up, with maybe around ten pieces total, but there was an excessive amount of large-cut onions and bell peppers, which made the dish less enjoyable. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and the horchata we ordered was excellent. I did mention that the bell peppers were overabundant and cut too thick, but my feedback didn't seem to go anywhere. One concern I had was seeing staff handle multiple tasks--taking payments, cleaning tables, and serving food--without ever noticing handwashing, which was a bit off-putting. I'm not completely writing this place off, as I'd like to return and try their breakfast. Most reviews are positive, so perhaps this was just an off night. Still, given today's prices, I expect the quality to match. Beans were bland and rice was cold, I'm sure made way ahead of time. I'll update my thoughts after a second visit--judge for yourself in the meantime.

Tucked into the corner of a Starbucks location, this cute little spot is small but super inviting--and definitely lives up to the hype. As soon as we walked in, the place was clean and filled with the delicious smell of spices and fresh food. I ordered the chilaquiles (not listed on the menu, but they'll make it for you with your choice of meat or traditional eggs for the same price). I went with chili verde, and wow--I was not disappointed. It was loaded with meat, sauce, cheese, cilantro, onion, and sour cream. Absolutely worth the $13, and I'd 100% order it again--next time with al pastor! We also tried the chicken enchilada plate ($13), which was just as good. Great flavor, the perfect amount of sauce and cheese, and it came with rice and beans on the side. For drinks, they've got a wide selection, including alcoholic options. I grabbed a Jarritos--just a heads up, they're $3.50 each, a bit pricey, but ice cold and refreshing. Overall, this place was a hit for us. The waitress, Erma, was friendly, polite, and attentive--which, let's be honest, isn't always easy to find. The restaurant is clean, has plenty of seating, and judging by the steady flow of customers, it's definitely no secret anymore! Give it a try and see for yourself--I'm pretty sure you'll love it too.
