Great little taqueria! I have been twice and both times were amazing. We went for the Taco Tuesday for $2.50 a taco. We also love the chips when eating in. The verde sauce is excellent. Service: courteous, patient, prompt and attentive. This favorite lunch spot was previously "Taco Roco" across from Target. The cook has bought the place and re-named it. The food is as fantastic as ever! I love the fresh fish tacos pictured below. My husband has different items each time and has loved them all! This is a walk up, order and then go sit down kind of place. The menu (picture below) is diverse and fountain drinks are on the left. There is a bar of a variety of salsa by level of hotness. We enjoy chatting with the friendly staff every time we come. The bathroom is always clean which is a big deal to me. If a bathroom is unkept in an establishment, I wonder about the kitchen. This place gets thumbs up from me! If you are doing some shopping, it is a perfect stop to get some great food with a Mom and Pop shop not a fast food chain. read more

New owners May 2024. New restaurant name. To start I was a die hard fan of Taco Roco eating there once a week for a very long time. I'm very sad it was sold We tried dinner last night dining in. Salsa & chips. Very Small bowl chips. They contract any salsa bowls or even the larger plastic ones for dining inside and using the tiny to go cups is funky when you need about 5 to get the size of a normal salsa bowl most restaurants have. The chips seemed fresh and were good. I had 3 crunchy chicken tacos. It was taco Tuesday but I don't like the tiny tacos. I ordered off regular menu. It's $3 for tiny or $4 for regular. No real savings there. The white meat tacos were good. Chicken could use some seasoning. Crispy shells were crunchy and the tacos were a good size, nice and filling I ordered shredded chicken burrito with everything like I normally did with taco Roco. Burrito seemed smaller. More rice probably. Less chicken. Dan said chicken was hard to find. Everything was beans rice and some chicken. No lettuce, tomatoes, salsa or anything else. Service was quick. I feel like the place could a good decluttering and a good cleaning of walls, wood trim, everything. Repaint and update. It looks dated as it hadn't been updated since taco Roco opened. I'll be back as the tacos met my criteria and a good crunchy chicken taco is what I crave. Update. My adult son had a burrito bowl last night and he said it was good read more

I am so disappointed lately when I order a Chili Relleno and it has no melted cheese inside, cheese is barely hot and the chili cannot even be cut with a steak knife. It tastes like it comes from a box straight from T.Joes.. Service is always great. Must have different cooks am and pm. It was an awful takeout. read more

Located in the Target center, "Under new management" caught my eye while doing a little shopping, and I had a wide hole forming that had to be filled...quick. I enjoyed my crispy tacos. Allow me to elaborate. First, it was surprising once inside. Instead of fast food, it's like a little Mexican restaurant complete with booths and symbolic decor. Second, very nice service. Third, while a tad bit pricey, the menu is full of good stuff. I got just 2 ala carte crispy tacos, 4 bucks each. I preferred the chicken (white meat!), but the beef was awesome, too, just under-seasoned. I poured on plenty of salsa from the DIY salsa bar. I'll be back, gotta try some other items, but nice to know good crispy tacos are nearby. read more

I love the food here but $10 for a bean and cheese burrito is insane. They have been slowly raising the price for their bean & cheese and now it's at $9.50. How is the bean rice and cheese less $8.89? It doesn't make sense. So disappointing! read more

I've been coming here since 2018 and it has ALWAYS hit the spot. I haven't been since the name change, but it seems like Owners and some employees stayed from what I discussed with a worker. Food here is comforting, hits the spot, and for someone who can finish a meal, I had to stop midway. Complimentary refills on Horchata always is a major plus. Salsa bar is GOOD! came here after a long day for dinner and was NOT disappointed, this food was great!! we ordered right when we walked in and helped ourselves to a salsa bar with an arrangement of different toppings. our food was brought out quickly and was delicious! i got the two enchiladas combo plate and they were fantastic. my mom got albondigas and she loved her meal. both meals were extremely filling and great for the price as well. the atmosphere in here is great as well, clean environment and bathrooms. they also have tvs with different shows playing. i loved this place and would definitely be back for the amazing food. read more

This restaurant accepted a DoorDash order they couldn't fulfill but did not cancel the order. They let the door dash driver unnecessarily drive to the store to pick up an order, wasting time, money and gas. The dasher did not get paid. Terrible. On a great drive home from Santa Barbra this place always hits just right. My friends & I have been stopping for the past couple of years when coming back from Santa Barbra and the AL pastor burrito has great flavor!! The workers are always very kind and hospitable the only reason I can't give 5 stars is because I believe that it's a little pricey but they are not shy on their portions which is good, overall good experience and I encourage anyone stopping through to give it a try. read more

I wasn't a fan of the flavors of Taco Roco when it was here, and I wasn't a fan of the food I received today. Their agua fresca is far from "fresh" as they use what seems to be an artificial Horchata and Jamaica dispensing machine. We just revisited the restaurant that was Taco Roco and is now EL Ranchito and it was very good. I especially liked the red sauce and mild salsa. My partner had the large, shredded beef burrito wet, full of great beef and beans. The salsa bar and chips has a small charge of 99cents and it is a bargain. New tables and booths make for a clean and light look. I definitely will be back for a carnitas burrito, wet. I love the sauce. Service was polite and helpful . read more
