This favorite lunch spot was previously "Taco Roco" across from Target. The cook has bought the place and re-named it. The food is as fantastic as ever! I love the fresh fish tacos pictured below. My husband has different items each time and has loved them all! This is a walk up, order and then go sit down kind of place. The menu (picture below) is diverse and fountain drinks are on the left. There is a bar of a variety of salsa by level of hotness. We enjoy chatting with the friendly staff every time we come. The bathroom is always clean which is a big deal to me. If a bathroom is unkept in an establishment, I wonder about the kitchen. This place gets thumbs up from me! If you are doing some shopping, it is a perfect stop to get some great food with a Mom and Pop shop not a fast food chain.

Great service, delicious food. We love taco Tuesdays special. Salsa and food is made fresh, chips are not stale. 10/10 recommend

Love their carnitas! And the lady behind the counter didn't charge me for chips for my son. Very happy with my first experience here!

Service was bad, unfortunately. Unwelcoming service, felt ignored and disrespected--won't be returning anytime soon.

There are no prices on the menu so I had to ask when I placed my to-go order. Burritos are $15 each, chicken quesadillas are just under $15. There's no extra fee for using credit cards or Apple Pay. We arrived to pick up our food and saw that Aliyah's is a humble shop located in the back of a convenience store. There are a few tables in a covered area. This is not a full service restaurant. If you want to dine in, you order at the counter and find a place to sit down. The lady employee was really nice and our food was hot and ready when we arrived. I asked for both the red and green sauce and they were both great, but just want to warn you that the red sauce is SPICY! I love spicy but this caught me by surprise. We got the chicken burrito, carnitas burrito, and chicken quesadilla. The burritos were pretty hefty in size and the quesadilla portion was big too! Flavors of all the food were fantastic, my whole family really enjoyed it! Definitely a hidden gem in the quiet town of Templeton, so if you're in the area, you should give it a try!

They do not publish any prices on the menu board so you have no idea how much each item costs. They bring your food to the table since we were dining there. While we waited for our food, we noticed lots of to go orders. The food was tasty and generous in portions except for the tacos. They were on the small side at $4 per taco! Taco came with just onions and cilantro. Would have tasted better if there was also some pico de gallo. The other food items were delicious.

The restaurant is right in the heart of downtown Paso Robles, making it an easy stop if you're exploring the area. We had reservations through OpenTable and arrived a little early. They seated us within a few minutes, and although outdoor seating was available, it was around 97°, so we were happy to wait for an indoor table. The inside has a really cool Spanish hacienda vibe with rustic wood beams, warm lighting, and plenty of unique décor to take in. It's a fun space with lots of character and is connected in the back to the tiki bar next door, making it easy to continue the evening with a drink. The atmosphere was lively without being overly loud, and we really enjoyed the classic '80s music playing softly in the background. The oysters were fresh and very good. My wife ordered the ceviche and enjoyed it. I had the hanger steak salad--it was decent, but I'd probably skip the beets next time and order something different. Overall, the food was good, but it didn't quite rise to the level of "great." Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, Fish Gaucho is worth a visit for its downtown location, unique Spanish-inspired atmosphere, and solid food. While there are probably stronger culinary options in Paso Robles, we'd happily come back to enjoy the ambiance, check out the connected tiki bar, and sample a few different menu items.

Not knowing where to eat on Good Friday, we decided to try a small hole-in-the-wall spot after…read morereading several positive reviews. There are a few things worth noting. First, the restaurant is quite small with a very quiet atmosphere--surprisingly so, especially with a jukebox that wasn't in use. The space didn't feel particularly clean, and the chairs were outdated and could definitely use some refurbishing. When we received the menus, I was honestly shocked by the prices. This is something I wish more reviewers had mentioned. We ordered a shrimp tostada (about $13) and shrimp fajitas (around $24). The shrimp tostada was disappointing--the shrimp was chopped so finely that it was hard to tell it was even there. It was overwhelmed by cucumber, tomato, and cilantro. The fajitas were similarly underwhelming: the shrimp were cut in half and curled up, with maybe around ten pieces total, but there was an excessive amount of large-cut onions and bell peppers, which made the dish less enjoyable. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and the horchata we ordered was excellent. I did mention that the bell peppers were overabundant and cut too thick, but my feedback didn't seem to go anywhere. One concern I had was seeing staff handle multiple tasks--taking payments, cleaning tables, and serving food--without ever noticing handwashing, which was a bit off-putting. I'm not completely writing this place off, as I'd like to return and try their breakfast. Most reviews are positive, so perhaps this was just an off night. Still, given today's prices, I expect the quality to match. Beans were bland and rice was cold, I'm sure made way ahead of time. I'll update my thoughts after a second visit--judge for yourself in the meantime.
