My family and I wanted a quick dinner and from searching Yelp, I saw that this place was only a 5 min drive from our hotel. There are no prices on the menu so I had to ask when I placed my to-go order. Burritos are $15 each, chicken quesadillas are just under $15. There's no extra fee for using credit cards or Apple Pay. We arrived to pick up our food and saw that Aliyah's is a humble shop located in the back of a convenience store. There are a few tables in a covered area. This is not a full service restaurant. If you want to dine in, you order at the counter and find a place to sit down. The lady employee was really nice and our food was hot and ready when we arrived. I asked for both the red and green sauce and they were both great, but just want to warn you that the red sauce is SPICY! I love spicy but this caught me by surprise. We got the chicken burrito, carnitas burrito, and chicken quesadilla. The burritos were pretty hefty in size and the quesadilla portion was big too! Flavors of all the food were fantastic, my whole family really enjoyed it! Definitely a hidden gem in the quiet town of Templeton, so if you're in the area, you should give it a try! read more

I was expecting a restaurant based on other Yelp reviews. So I was a little surprise to find Alijahs kitchen was a food stall with some tables under a canopy! You go up to the counter to place your order. They do not sell any beverages. You have to go to the liquor store next door for this! They do not publish any prices on the menu board so you have no idea how much each item costs. They bring your food to the table since we were dining there. While we waited for our food, we noticed lots of to go orders. The food was tasty and generous in portions except for the tacos. They were on the small side at $4 per taco! I love going here. They are quick and good price for the amount of food. I order their asada nachos and replace the chips for fries and asada for carnitas. the asada nachos have more toppings(beans, lettuce, jalapeños and pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole) And the asada fries just has the guacamole and sour cream. read more

This was our last stop before heading home and we were so blown at how delicious everything was! Our party comes from the bay and LA area, where Mexican options are a plenty and this impressed us. You know they are authentic when they have lengua and tripas and do it well. I had flautas and had to try their shrimp taco, amazing. The food was just fantastic. Salmon tacos, can you really just eat one? And the tripa torta, just wow for our friend that chomped down on it. Service was excellent, food came out fresh and the cashier was kind. Little hole in the wall in downtown Templeton behind a convenience store but don't let that deter you. We ordered the Asada burrito bowl was which delicious and a veg big portion size. We also got the ceviche, asada nachos which were also good, especially the nachos. I would highly recommend, solely for the food. They don't have sodas, or offer water or anything so keep that in mind. However, there is a convenience store next door where you can get sodas and such. They only have covered and uncovered outdoor seating areas, so there's no indoor dining option. I would consider fast, casual dining. Came to patronize the little shop, left disappointed by ordinary food flavor, portion size (see photos) and price. NOTE: The "whole burrito" photo with the Sharpie (for size comparison) is missing very small bites off of the top, consisted entirely of store bought flour tortilla. $15.+ total price for a carnitas, bean, cheese and sour cream burrito is entirely unacceptable from a back of another store operation. Almost anywhere for that matter. This American of Hispanic descent knows what I want and expect in this specific order wherever I order it from. This was NOT it. Well, we were in Templeton CA for 4th of July parade and were looking for breakfast before the start of the parade. We noticed this small place which showed promise. And I swear, we had the best Mexican fare in our lives!! No two ways about it. We got carried away not only with the humungously huge and flavorful breakfast burrito with Chorizo but also with the wafer thin corn Tortilla that was used to wrap it together. Fast forward to 2021 Christmas Holiday parade in Paso Robles and guess where we went for breakfast, of course to Aliyah's Kitchen, where else!! Along with our last time's favorites, we also ordered the Pozole - a massive hit with all of us, and Al pastor taco plate - seconds were automatically ordered for this and Shrimp Ceviche, another favorite that we never found so fresh and enticing ever before. The best part is this that place is run by a sweet couple and their daughter - a complete family enterprise who are so humble n true and ready to do anything to make their customers happy. With their sincerity and commitment to service, the great and fresh Mexican cuisine prepared and served right in front of you, I see great future for this place. Stopped by for taco Tuesday, did not disappoint! Got 4 tacos to go. Classic street taco preparation with a lime wedge per taco and generous portions of meat (I'm stuffed after eating all four). Their red and green hot sauces were excellent! Both spicy with red being the stronger of the two. The meats were each distinct in flavor and not overly greasy.
