This is a small place in a strip mall with a handful of tables.. but I would consider it to be mostly a togo place.. The tacos were juicy and awesome the enchiladas were very flavorful as well but what got us all was the spicy salsa... it has the kick like nothing else..

Great service, super friendly, clean. The meat in my tacos were pretty dry. The rest of the taco was great. Willing to try again.

I Love their chile relleno buritto! Rice and sour cream only with hot sauce inside. Sized right for the price also.

It's pretty rare that I update my reviews, but Fish Gaucho is getting an upgrade from 4 stars to 5!…read moreIt's quickly becoming one of my go-to's in Paso as the food and service are consistently good. We've only ever come here on a whim, and because of that we usually end up sitting at the bar, but most recently we did get a regular table on a Saturday afternoon. They do take reservations if you want to make sure you secure a spot when and where you want. Favorites are still the tacos and Aguachile, especially the short rib tacos. We've also gotten nachos, oysters, ahi crudo, and taquitos, all of which we would get again. Food comes out pretty quick, but still seems to be very fresh. So it's a great place if you want to sit down, but still get out quick to go back to the wineries.

The restaurant is right in the heart of downtown Paso Robles, making it an easy stop if you're exploring the area. We had reservations through OpenTable and arrived a little early. They seated us within a few minutes, and although outdoor seating was available, it was around 97°, so we were happy to wait for an indoor table. The inside has a really cool Spanish hacienda vibe with rustic wood beams, warm lighting, and plenty of unique décor to take in. It's a fun space with lots of character and is connected in the back to the tiki bar next door, making it easy to continue the evening with a drink. The atmosphere was lively without being overly loud, and we really enjoyed the classic '80s music playing softly in the background. The oysters were fresh and very good. My wife ordered the ceviche and enjoyed it. I had the hanger steak salad--it was decent, but I'd probably skip the beets next time and order something different. Overall, the food was good, but it didn't quite rise to the level of "great." Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, Fish Gaucho is worth a visit for its downtown location, unique Spanish-inspired atmosphere, and solid food. While there are probably stronger culinary options in Paso Robles, we'd happily come back to enjoy the ambiance, check out the connected tiki bar, and sample a few different menu items.

They gave us complimentary chips and green salsa to start with. That Green salsa is a bomb! I will visit this place again and again just for that sauce/salsa ! I had shrimp tacos. They look basic but shrimp was cooked to perfection! They know how to grill ! These are some amazing tacos , and they tasted wild after adding that hot salsa on top. I love it when someone serves me basic food right! We also had grilled fish plate which came with beans, rice, grilled fish and salad. This fish was grilled perfectly but it was bit bland. The amazing salsa helped to add more flavour. Overall, lovely place ! Definitely visit again!

We got 2 asada, 2 lengua, 2 shrimps, and 2 pastor -- all packed with flavors while it's hot and fresh. I love hot sauce, and it def hit the spot. Staff are always so friendly, tacos were not salty at all, and they always packed the food so neatly and just the right ratio of meat. They have their own parking lot to the side so if you can't find parking, park there. We ordered take out and even with the 17 min drive back home, the tacos still tasted fresh. I can't imagine what it would be like if we dine in. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting PR! Well worth the visit

This place is so aggressively cute that I spent the first ten minutes just blinking at the decor in a state of pure sensory overload. It's the kind of cozy that makes you want to wrap yourself in a blanket and take a nap right there on the tablecloth. Then there are the servers. I'm convinced they are actually angels sent from above to cure my cynicism. They were so incredibly nice that I actually felt bad for ordering food--like, "How dare I ask these wonderful humans to bring me a taco when they are already providing so much emotional support?" I walked in as a regular customer and left feeling like I'd been adopted by a very polite, very efficient family. The food was, of course, spectacular. The salsa was so good that I briefly considered licking the bowl, but the servers were so classy that I decided to maintain a shred of dignity. If you enjoy being pampered in a setting that looks like it was designed by a professional "coziness consultant," get yourself to Finco Paso Robles. Just be warned: you will leave feeling slightly judged by your own home's lack of charm.

Appears to be family-run...I assume the order taker at the counter is one of the owners as he was carrying a baby :) Food was delicious. Ordered... * Guac & Chips -- Guac was one of the best I've had ever... chunky avocado with fresh herbs. Tortilla chips also tasted fresh and home made. * Grilled Salmon Taco special -- Nice fresh chunks of salmon with cabbage, red onions and crema on fresh corn tortillas. * Grilled Chicken Quesadilla -- Choice of flour or corn tortillas. We went with the corn tortillas. Chicken was good, but the quesadillas definitely tasted better with our side of guac. Looking forward to coming back to try the Baja Fish Tacos which appears to be one of their signature items.
