Strawberry & goat cheese danish, tomato danish, pb&j croiffin

This was a recommendation from a friend of a friend who lives here and it very much feels like the "if you know, you know" type of local spot. We got there around 9am on a Sunday and there was a short line that moved quickly. Everything in the pastry case looked delicious. We got a tomato danish, a strawberry and goat cheese danish, and a peanut butter & jelly croiffin. The croiffin was the highlight of the show, the peanut butter cream wasn't dry at all and the pastry was crispy but not too flaky! There are a few seats inside and small tables outside, but I think it's mainly a takeaway spot.

Amazing pastries at this small bakery! They sell out fast, so make sure you come early. They have pastries that are staples and others that are seasonal. We loved the fresh fruit added to the pastries! The service was great! A customer accidentally dropped their pastry and they were nice enough to give them another one. Restrooms are sound back. Plenty of parking in the area.

    Delicious avocado toast.

The kind of bakery I dream about at night. Just WOW! I wanted to say, "I'll take one of everything." Choosing was nearly impossible because everything looked spectacular. On my first visit, I arrived right at opening and was told to come back in about an hour for more options. No problem, I grabbed a coffee nearby, explored a park, and discovered a hotel that I ended up booking and falling in love with. Over my visits I tried the ham & cheese croissant, kouign-amann, and a seasonal avocado toast. Each pastry was perfection, and the avocado toast was both unpique and delicious. Their menu offers a great mix of sweet and savory treats, but don't show up at opening if you want the full spread. Pro tip: Bay Wood Park Pier is just minutes away. Pair your pastries with a stroll and an incredible view! To the team at Wayward Baking: thank you for the most delicious mornings. I'll be back and can't wait to try one of your pizzas (pizza Mondays are officially on my radar!).

Rhubarb tart, coffee cake, cinnamon bun, cheesecake

Delicious baked goods! Passing through on spring break and the reviews were right. Small, quaint place with outside seating. I wish I took a picture of the asparagus danish that were cooling down off to the side. Rhubarb tart - $11 a little steep and chewy Coffee cake - $4 Cinnamon bun - $4 Cheesecake - $6 light, not too sweet Latte with vanilla (extra $1) also yummy and sweet. Our fav breakfast place, wish it was open daily!

These were the flakiest croissants I've ever had! The almond croissant was my absolute favorite - perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and a delightfully crisp, golden exterior. The service was equally impressive - friendly and welcoming. After this experience, I completely understand why there's a line out the door.

Could barely stop myself from buying everything in the display because they all looked so beautiful and tasty. Was hesitant about rhubarb flavor as I have never tried it before but their rhubarb cruffin and tart was so flavorful and surprisingly sweet. The lox toast was fresh and the bread was toasted perfectly. The apple and brie toast combination made for a unique yet delicious balance of flavor. Will definitely be coming back!

This bakery is so cute and everything is so fresh. We came on a Sunday morning and there was a line, but that's how you know it's good. They have classic pastries/desserts but also some unique ones like basque cheesecake, yuzu & matcha pavlova, flan, and more. The store is small with a few indoor and outdoor seats. I would love to come back to try their pizzas on a Monday night! ig: @cravingswithcat

This is our absolute favorite bakery in SLO County and there are tons of good ones around here! We love everything we've had to date whether it's sweet or savory. Their pastries, chocolate, and other baked items are always balanced with the perfect amount of sweetness and hand made to impress from a visual standpoint as well. We've always had friendly service when we've dropped in. Smaller space that they do a good job of keeping the line moving at. Special shout out for their coffee offerings and pizza Monday's as well. The pizzas we had were superb with a phenomenal crust. Always worth the trip to Los Osos to head here for literally anything they make! Thanks Tim and team.

We had high hopes for this bakery and we weren't let down. Good flavor and lamination on the almond croissant. The chocolate eclair was good, but not mind blowing. The real stand out is the mushroom danish!

This place has sentimental value for a lot of locals and return visitors to Sea Pines. If I factor…read morethat in, it's four stars. But assuming you're reading this because you haven't been there before, my rating for recent visits for dinner is a solid three stars. I know it's hard to keep professional servers. But sheesh, my experience with servers there over the last six months has been everything from super-pro friendly to flippant treat-you-like-a-tourist-who's-never-coming-back to practically invisible. You just never know. If Raul is in the kitchen, you're going to have a stellar meal, even with the average quality of the ingredients. The food is overpriced but usually a good portion. There is a happy hour 3:00 - 6:00 Mon - Thurs: $1 off beer, wine, and apps. Some menu items that are my faves include the halibut & chips (can sub salad and/or get halibut grilled), $20; apple balsamic Brussels (recommend the balsamic reduction on the side as that can get heavy-handed), $13; the burgers, $14-$18. The bartending is more consistently good-to-great. The Barefoot on the Green Saturday afternoon concerts are hugely popular. It's a beautiful location to eat outside if it's not too cold and/or windy (which is often - check the Los Osos weather). I'll be back; I always go back.
