The golden mylk is a perfect cold day drink that will make you feel warm and cozy inside. We also had the chance to try their pastries and got an almond croissant with jelly and a goat cheese and roasted leak scone. Im not the biggest fan of jelly filled pastries, but this one was actually really good. It paired well with the crispy exterior and not too sweet. I really enjoyed it! The goat cheese and roasted leak definitely had complimenting flavors, but it wasn't his favorite scone he has. He wished there was more goat cheese versus it just being on top. When is SLO, I will be back!

Fortunately, since this was market, there were plenty of seating in the common area. The breakfast burrito was $11 and the Sando I think was $12? If you dine in, they will give you a # and will bring the food to you, even if you sit in the common area, which is nice service. The burrito just came as it, no other trimming, except for the salsa whereas the sando included potatoes. if you look at the picture, they need to add more to the plate with Sando. Even with potatoes, the plate seems empty. They were both tasty, the burrito was fair size. However, mine was seems just stuffed with eggs, it wasn't until the end that I manage to get to some potatoes and meat. There should be less eggs and more of the other fillings. Sando was tasty, with a large portion of egg. The staff was really friendly and the food came out fairly quickly.

They also charge a very high credit card processing fee--it's more than any kickback a credit card rewards program would give back--so if you have cash, use that. It's cheaper. Their coffee is very good. You're splitting hairs here when trying to find better coffee, but if you're looking for the best breakfast burrito in San Luis Obispo, this is it. But I went back on Monday, June 8th and had a very different experience. I ordered 2 small cups of hot chai with extra foam, extra hot and 1/2 sweet. When they were done, both were "heavy" meaning they felt like there was no foam. I checked and yup...no foam. I mentioned it to the barista who said "no problem. I'll do them over". They were done quickly, but still felt "heavy". I didn't want to go back and figured "it's just me". I got into my car and tried one. It was 90% the same as before. She simply scraped a sliver of the drink off the top and added a touch of foam. Plus...the liquid was "thin" meaning she nearly scalded the drink to get it hot. The 2nd chai was the same way. And the shop wasn't even busy at the time. Everyone at the Nautical Bean is friendly and the vibe is great, but next time I'll take my own advice...even if that means going back to the barista twice to get things right.
