So many choices!! How do you pick?? Flavors I've never heard of that aren't just a colored frosting but actually are different flavors! I got the maple buttermilk: 11/10 Mint donut: 8/10 Super minty if you like that. Would love to try a chocolate mint! Crème brûlée: 7/10 A little disappointing. The top was soggy and the cream was aggressively sweet. A little too much so. Pillow: 9/10 Yum! Got the chai cream one!

We came around 9 on a Saturday and they were mostly sold out. We were really hoping to try the donut holes! We got the Christmas Sprinkle, Cinnamon crunch, and Matcha Coconut. The cinnamon crunch was definitely the favorite. The matcha coconut was lacking in matcha flavor - it could've just been regular icing and I wouldn't have been able to tell. Overall really quality donuts and would love to try more flavors when they are stocked!

There is a reason why EVERYONE loves SloDoCo donuts. Clean store and super nice service. They have a variety of unique and interesting flavors that you won't be able to find at most shops mixed in with the traditional flavors that are staples. I even saw a police officer get donuts which I don't think I've ever seen in real life. Only in tv shows and movies.

    4/30/25 FYI. Cool.

Quality/Quantity - Speaking of traditions (see Madonna Inn reviews), this one is my daughter's and I's must get. Got to get our donuts. Our usual spot is at Foothill; see other 5 star reviews. We both went for the seasonal donuts. I got the Bumble Bee and she got the Easter Egg - Both of which were good. I actually liked hers better as she had a filling. And of course my daughter had to get her usual Thai Tea. Sadly this was made wrong by the previous crew, so they had to change her order to Chai Tea... It was good, but not as good as her craving for Thai Tea. Huge selection; see pictures. Atmosphere - Very small new location. Indoor and outdoor seating. Open 24/7. Plenty of parking, as this is more of a to-go location. We were the only customers that sat and ate. Interesting outdoor restroom with a shower (capped off), lol. See pictures. Free wifi which I did not use. Service - Okay. One of the girls working was just TOO serious... A hard worker, but needs to relax with the public more. Price - $11. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2009. 2022 at this location and with your 4 total locations.

SLODOCO really goes all out when it comes to donuts. I always make it a point to stop in here a couple times when I am visiting. Since there are two locations, I had not yet visited this location and it was so close to the AirBNB I was staying at, we walked over and snagged some fresh, warm donuts. They feature 100 different donuts and if you are vegan they got you. If you need gluten free, they serve them with glee. My favs are the serious chocolate cake donuts. So moist, so light, just right. You are also able to order your donuts customized. So if you want to spell your name in donuts, this is the place that can provide this service. Every month their bakers get together to create new and inventive donuts. I have seen so many unique ideas through the years. Service is always friendly and helpful as sometimes it can take a while to select your donuts. Merchandise can be purchased as well. This location has a nice patio to sit outside and enjoy your purchases under that glorious central coast sun. Wander on in and let the smells and tastes take you to donut heaven!

Got 4 donuts one not pictured.

I just went in to grab a few donuts for the family on a Sunday morning. We have been going to here ever since they opened. Even had SloDoCo do personalized donuts for our wedding. This is the first time I have been to this location. I was very disappointed!! The girl working the counter at 8:45 on February 1,2026 with dark hair was so rude! She literally threw my donuts in a bag with a attitude. I asked her for a box so that my donuts wouldn't get destroyed. I am sure it's a policy to use bags when they can, to save money. But if you are getting specialty donuts with frosting and toppings, you don't want them to be destroyed. I am paying top dollar for these donuts. STOP being so cheap! Once again she threw them in the box, had an attitude the whole time. I don't know what her problem was. She should not be in the front helping people. Very poor customer service!!! I will not be back. Not okay! Treat people better and check yourself!

    Donuts very colorful

Went to SloDoCo and ordered a box of various donuts to try out. They looked great and colorful so I tried the chocolate glazed first. The cake itself is dry I don't know if it was the actual donut and who made it but I wasn't expecting it since the reviews are pretty up there. The one lady was super nice and it is open 24/7 if you need your donut fix but otherwise I would go somewhere else.

Everything was amazing!!! Everyone was so kind and helpful and supportive and patient while we figured out what to get. The donuts were awesome!! I want 100 more already!! They had a few spots to eat there inside and outside. Go give it a try!!

Past 12 years have been heaven with SloDoCo Donuts. Yes, decadent and delicious. Numerous Seasonal varieties, decorative variations. Whichever you choose, your taste buds will thank you! Small donut shop open 24 hours. They share a tiny parking lot out front with an auto repair shop. I didn't see restrooms at this location. If I'm being honest, the vibes were cute but the donuts were just okay. I liked the bread part, but not the fillings. Still, I appreciated the variety (over 100 flavors). - Cold Brew ($4). Standard, but good. - Chai Cream Cheese Pillow ($3.80). The taste of the soft yeasted donut with glaze was good. However, the filling was uneven and lacking in flavor. There was hardly any cream cheese in the first half. The second half had more, but it was runny and translucent and did not taste like cream cheese. The flavor of the donut was not "chai", but general warm spices. - SLO Yo Roll Croissant ($5?). My bf got the blueberry roll croissant. The croissant had a very crispy and flaky outer shell, which wasn't greasy. The taste of the spiral was more bready than buttery and flaky, but I think that's just the sacrifice you make for the shape. I liked the flavor of the bread itself. However, I was disappointed by the artificial taste of the blueberry frosting inside. It wasn't too sweet though.

If I lived here, this would be my GO TO spot for ALL my coffee needs. The space is thoughtfully designed with many furniture pieces from repurposed goods. It is spacious with a light, bright airy feel. All the "baristas" were so welcoming and friendly. They seemed to enjoy their job and their coworkers. They set off a very cohesive vibe. I wish I could have spent the morning just being there but had to leave for a funeral. So many things caught our eye! The baked goods were devine. The T-shirts were super soft and I would have bought one of they had our sizes. The roasted coffee beans were priced fairly. I haven't even gotten to the coffee yet! There were so many iced coffee/cold brew options it was really hard to choose. We ended up selecting the Lemon Pistachio shortbread cookie, a Ginger Molasses cookie, a seasonal scone: Honey Cinnamon, an iced Latte and an iced Vanilla Bean Latte: 1/2 sweet and a bag of Classic Espresso beans. My only sadness was I should have gotten a large latte instead of a regular. We saved the desserts for after the funeral and enjoyed the yummy coffees on our way. The Ginger Molasses cookie was perfect. Moist and chewy and not too much ginger. I should have bought more! The Lemon Pistachio cookie had a lovely balance of lemon zest and fine pieces of pistachio in the cookie and a not too tart lemon glaze and pieces of pistachio on top. It wasn't dry or super dense either. Someone making these is an experienced baker! The Honey Cinnamon scone was the best scone we have ever had. It was messy but so worth it. If you want an entire coffee experience, you have to visit Scout Coffee on Foothill Blvd in SLO. You will not stop thinking about what a beautiful experience it was after you've gone.

Anyways, I came back because my girl needed that Matcha (you know how it is) Ordered a LARGE iced matcha and a croissant. $10. When I was handed an Obvious medium maybe even a small arbiter shops I told them I asked for large and she looked at me like I was stupid and said "This is OUR Large". Anyways, I'm not a coffee snob I just wanted to treat my lady and I don't think I'll be coming back after this experience for the money spent. After a tip im at $12+ and feeling ripped off

Very Good - But Don't Be A Lazy Customer…read more.... The Nautical Bean on Los Osos Valley Road is my go-to place for sandwiches and drinks in that part of San Luis Obispo. - Overall: 4 - Location: 5 - Exterior: 4 - Ambiance: 5 - Menu: 5 - Sandwiches: 5 - Drinks: 4 - Service: 4 - Price and Value: 5 - Parking: 5 - Bathroom: 4 Pros: - Location: Convenient to the western part of SLO. This outlet of the small chain is on Los Osos Valley Road near the corner of Madonna Road in a shopping center. - Menu: It's not just drinks. They've got a sizable menu of sandwiches...lots of pastries and the usual drinks. - Ambiance: Casual. Many tables inside and 2 patios...one in front and a smaller one in back. You'll find students on computers and friends sharing a table. Music plays in the background. - Food: Excellent. My wife and I stop by once a month before visiting a local doctor and split a sandwich for lunch since they're large enough to easily divide. My favorite is the Tuna Melt ($18). Each comes with a nice salad. For people familiar with restaurants in the San Jose area during the 1970s, 80s and 90s...the sandwiches will remind you of the Good Earth. - Drinks: From excellent to okay. Besides visiting with my wife, I also drop by before or after other doctor appointments. That's what happens as you get older! So I'm a semi regular. I usually get the same thing - A medium hot chai with no whipped cream...extra hot and extra foam. On February 25th, I had one of the very best drinks in my life. A few days later on March 2nd, it went the other way. My hopes were initially raised when a talented young woman (who might be a manager) took my order. Unfortunately, someone else made my drink. The first version had no foam...so she emptied some liquid and added foam. I got to my car, started drinking and realized it was lukewarm - not extra hot - but I was tired, probably lazy and just finished it. It wasn't even busy in the shop. - Service: Always friendly. - Price and Value: Lots of good food and drinks for a fair price. - Parking: No problem. There's a lot in the front and a big one in back. - Bathrooms: Not bad. There are 2 behind the shop - both are usually quite clean and come with a code you get from the employees. Cons: - Consistency of the drinks: This is a problem at almost every place I've tried.....except The Tribe in Arroyo Grande. Most of the drinks here are very good, but people should not be on the front line unless they know what to do. Overall, the Nautical Bean on Los Osos Valley Road makes great sandwiches, has a fine selection of pastries and does a good job with their drinks.

One drink was iced and one was hot, yet I still received an incorrect order, along with an extra coffee cup we never asked for. To clarify, it was a simple order that somehow became too complex in certain eyes. There were three or four mistakes the cashier had made, and although he appeared apologetic, it felt disengenuine, as if he showed little care for our order as customers. After telling the young man multiple times that the order needed to be compensated, it was finally comped, but I did not get to enjoy the barista's drink that had been made with great skill and precision. I wish the young man at the counter had been more coherent and present with his community, as I felt he could be a potential star for that business. Whether he does not understand or is unsure of a customer's order, avoiding extra drinks, cold versions, or compliance mistakes would help make this café a wonderful experience. I found myself nearly negotiating to have my meal comped for the mistakes he made. His coworkers at the espresso bar made no errors and seemed fully aware that we had ordered correctly and simply wanted decent service, not social disregard or stigmatizing behavior. It did not matter my skin tone. I was still disregarded by this young man and pushed aside as just another account for the business. That young, confident arrogance did not help him, nor does it help a customer's perspective on a first visit. I will still give this café another try, as I am looking for a new place to study and maybe people watch some. I am glad I did not ask for the young man's name and even more patient with his naivety for now.
