Stopped by after dinner for a quick sweet treat and wow, they had such a wide selection! Service was quick and it was easy to order. Unfortunately, I felt like the donuts we got were a bit stale. Granted, it's probably been sitting out for a while. I got their matcha coconut flake donut (I don't recommend), blueberry cake donut, and a croissant. I really enjoyed the blueberry cake donut because it was so moist and flavorful! Their matcha and croissant donut on the other hand was stale and dry. I'd probably come back if I was desperately craving a donut or if I happen to be near by in the mornings. read more

SloDoCo Donuts - Aug 2026 - Donuts Near Me - San Luis Obispo, California

Was in the area helping niece move back home from college. Rolled into town late and was excited to try what I had heard about. In the summer after school's out it's not open 24 hrs so it was past midnight... but the next day, my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I tried them and they were good and unique creations. read more

So many choices!! How do you pick?? Flavors I've never heard of that aren't just a colored frosting but actually are different flavors! I got the maple buttermilk: 11/10 Mint donut: 8/10 Super minty if you like that. Would love to try a chocolate mint! Crème brûlée: 7/10 A little disappointing. The top was soggy and the cream was aggressively sweet. A little too much so. Pillow: 9/10 Yum! Got the chai cream one! read more

Hailing from SLO, 2 locations and new ones in Paso & Goleta, I was familiar and was the recipient of several deliveries of, and tried a smattering of delicacies. All the gourmet type, filled with all kinds of great stuff: cinnamon, chocolate, chai cream, pistachio cream, lavender cream, etc. All amazing. The donuts are first class. Sure, they have the standard, too. But I say why? "Those aren't pillows", well, not the type from the Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. These "pillows" are like a handheld pocket, filled with all kinds of goodness and featuring different glazed toppings. Amazing. Just note from my personal experience: ================================= * Don't get just one. You'll be killing yourself. * Two is easy-peasy. They'll be gone lickety-split. * Three is best, but at little overkill. * Four, don't do it. * The next day, the day old donut is still a-okay. Go. Now. Before I eat them all. read more

So many choices! We went by after dropping our kid at school It was around 8pm. There were still many options. We bought 3, and our favorite was the raspberry pillow. Amazing. read more

We came around 9 on a Saturday and they were mostly sold out. We were really hoping to try the donut holes! We got the Christmas Sprinkle, Cinnamon crunch, and Matcha Coconut. The cinnamon crunch was definitely the favorite. The matcha coconut was lacking in matcha flavor - it could've just been regular icing and I wouldn't have been able to tell. Overall really quality donuts and would love to try more flavors when they are stocked! read more

There is a reason why EVERYONE loves SloDoCo donuts. Clean store and super nice service. They have a variety of unique and interesting flavors that you won't be able to find at most shops mixed in with the traditional flavors that are staples. I even saw a police officer get donuts which I don't think I've ever seen in real life. Only in tv shows and movies. read more

Quality/Quantity - Speaking of traditions (see Madonna Inn reviews), this one is my daughter's and I's must get. Got to get our donuts. Our usual spot is at Foothill; see other 5 star reviews. We both went for the seasonal donuts. I got the Bumble Bee and she got the Easter Egg - Both of which were good. I actually liked hers better as she had a filling. And of course my daughter had to get her usual Thai Tea. Sadly this was made wrong by the previous crew, so they had to change her order to Chai Tea... It was good, but not as good as her craving for Thai Tea. Huge selection; see pictures. Atmosphere - Very small new location. Indoor and outdoor seating. Open 24/7. Plenty of parking, as this is more of a to-go location. We were the only customers that sat and ate. Interesting outdoor restroom with a shower (capped off), lol. See pictures. Free wifi which I did not use. Service - Okay. One of the girls working was just TOO serious... A hard worker, but needs to relax with the public more. Price - $11. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2009. 2022 at this location and with your 4 total locations. read more

SLODOCO really goes all out when it comes to donuts. I always make it a point to stop in here a couple times when I am visiting. Since there are two locations, I had not yet visited this location and it was so close to the AirBNB I was staying at, we walked over and snagged some fresh, warm donuts. They feature 100 different donuts and if you are vegan they got you. If you need gluten free, they serve them with glee. My favs are the serious chocolate cake donuts. So moist, so light, just right. You are also able to order your donuts customized. So if you want to spell your name in donuts, this is the place that can provide this service. Every month their bakers get together to create new and inventive donuts. I have seen so many unique ideas through the years. Service is always friendly and helpful as sometimes it can take a while to select your donuts. Merchandise can be purchased as well. This location has a nice patio to sit outside and enjoy your purchases under that glorious central coast sun. Wander on in and let the smells and tastes take you to donut heaven! read more

I just went in to grab a few donuts for the family on a Sunday morning. We have been going to here ever since they opened. Even had SloDoCo do personalized donuts for our wedding. This is the first time I have been to this location. I was very disappointed!! The girl working the counter at 8:45 on February 1,2026 with dark hair was so rude! She literally threw my donuts in a bag with a attitude. I asked her for a box so that my donuts wouldn't get destroyed. I am sure it's a policy to use bags when they can, to save money. But if you are getting specialty donuts with frosting and toppings, you don't want them to be destroyed. I am paying top dollar for these donuts. STOP being so cheap! Once again she threw them in the box, had an attitude the whole time. I don't know what her problem was. She should not be in the front helping people. Very poor customer service!!! I will not be back. Not okay! Treat people better and check yourself! read more

Whenever I visit SLO, I try to always stop by Slodoco and grab some donuts. I usually go to the other location but since the last time I drove through, this one popped up. More modern and a little bit more cozy, this one still hits the same notes and satisfies that sugar craving. Love coming here and glad there's another location to choose from! read more

Went to SloDoCo and ordered a box of various donuts to try out. They looked great and colorful so I tried the chocolate glazed first. The cake itself is dry I don't know if it was the actual donut and who made it but I wasn't expecting it since the reviews are pretty up there. The one lady was super nice and it is open 24/7 if you need your donut fix but otherwise I would go somewhere else. read more

Small donut shop open 24 hours. They share a tiny parking lot out front with an auto repair shop. I didn't see restrooms at this location. If I'm being honest, the vibes were cute but the donuts were just okay. I liked the bread part, but not the fillings. Still, I appreciated the variety (over 100 flavors). - Cold Brew ($4). Standard, but good. - Chai Cream Cheese Pillow ($3.80). The taste of the soft yeasted donut with glaze was good. However, the filling was uneven and lacking in flavor. There was hardly any cream cheese in the first half. The second half had more, but it was runny and translucent and did not taste like cream cheese. The flavor of the donut was not "chai", but general warm spices. - SLO Yo Roll Croissant ($5?). My bf got the blueberry roll croissant. The croissant had a very crispy and flaky outer shell, which wasn't greasy. The taste of the spiral was more bready than buttery and flaky, but I think that's just the sacrifice you make for the shape. I liked the flavor of the bread itself. However, I was disappointed by the artificial taste of the blueberry frosting inside. It wasn't too sweet though. read more

*vegan review* this place USED to have the best vegan donuts around - I go every time I'm in the area, and to my sadness I was informed this time that they stopped making the amazing vegan donuts along with the cinnamon sugar vegan. Now, they only offer a vegan & gluten free donut, which is the previous GF recipe. I'm sad that they no longer separate the GF and Vegan options because those vegan ones from a year ago were stellar. They were more like a light and airy baked donut and now they are dense, heavy, and quite wet. I know I should be grateful that there even was a dairy free and vegan option, but not sure I will be returning if they stay this way. My toddler even rejected the donut (gasp!) because it was too sticky and dripping wet. Please bring back the solely vegan cinnamon sugar!!!!!! read more

My son was craving donuts so I found this place on Yelp. It is the second installation of SLOdoCo, with the first location being on Foothill. They're currently doing renovations, and there is no accessible ramp to enter the shop. I was excited to find so many variety of flavors as well as fun & beautifully decorated donuts. They even have a few that are vegan and gluten free. The staff is sooo helpful! I asked if the gluten free donuts were nut free (some gluten free items use almond flour), and she took the time to pull out a binder with the ingredients to check and show me to make sure I was ok with it, which I really appreciated (they use tapioca flour). My kids and I got a half dozen, plus a GF/vegan maple donut. Of what we got, I highly recommend the creme brulee donut. It is cream filled and has a slightly crunchy crust like the actual creme brulee. It is soo good! The sales person said that it's a local favorite, which I understand now. read more

Marshmallow AND cotton candy infused donuts? Yes please! This 24 hour donut shop really got it right, with flavors and hours. They've created some really interesting summer flavors like caramel corn, and sand dollar, which has almond crumbles on top and a raspberry filling. They opened up a second location here, and hopefully one day, will branch out as far as the border. For now though, it's a required stop when in SLO. read more

Apple fritter went crazy. Soooooo good. Devils food cake donut was decent. I would love to come back & try more! Cute little corner shop. Donuts are a work of art for sure and the staff are very proud of their product. Do they stand out as far as taste?? Not particularly. Tasted the same as my corner spot. And they don't cost $2-3 each!!! It was a splurge but won't be a reoccurring treat. read more

Mandatory stop when traveling through SLO. Wide variety of unique, fresh choices. And a cheerful, friendly staff to boot

So there's a new SLODOCO location in SLO. The new location is remodeled to make it a quaint place to hang out to study or chill for a while. This location is open 24-hours which is fantastic because the donuts are baked throughout the day/night. Xavier and Luke were super friendly and helped us pick out a box of goodies. Be careful of the parking lot as it's pretty dark at night. It would be nice to see this addressed by the city of SLO. If you're into donuts, this new location is great. It was nice to see that they allowed me to bring my puppy just inside the door while we ordered. A read more

Omg the amount of different donuts offered here is amazing! Wanted to try this spot since it had great reviews. Friendly service and noticed a lot of people (some students) hanging out inside, so it must be a cool place to visit and do school work. I chose my favorite, a glazed twist and a maple bacon bar. SO yum! Definitely could get into trouble here if I lived in the area. It was a very nice treat to start the day! read more

I went to a doughnut shop recently and had a really bad experience. While eating my doughnut, I found a piece of metal and even a hair in the food. It was honestly disgusting and made me lose my appetite immediately. The shop seemed very unhygienic, and it made me question how carefully they prepare their food. Customer safety and cleanliness should always come first, especially at a place that serves food. I definitely would not recommend this doughnut shop to others after this experience. read more

This is not your normal donut place. It's filled with delicious different flavored donuts. Quality of the donuts was good, but selection was pretty basic. A bit overpriced for what you get. We had a crème brûlée donut and a cream filled, chocolate iced one. Tasty, but not really worth a second visit. One girl was working at the time we went in. I'm a truck driver and I live in the Inland Empire. I was getting my trailer unloaded at the Harbor Freight down the street and I wanted something sweet. So I walk to this foofoo doughnut spot. Seems cool doughnuts look good. Ask for peanut butter pillow that was ok nothing special and a cold brew with creamer. Paid then my bad I decided I wanted some sweetener in it. This rude frumpy blonde got snippy with me rude as hell tells me next time tell her when I order. Ok if it was busy then yeah I see why she would be annoyed, but I was the only person ordering. No one else. To top it off she didn't even add creamer. Now idk how others people would act but my bad. she was rude enough to get me out of character. I threw a dollar at her and left. If I did live in the area I would never visit here again just because this girl was having a bad day because Tyler doesn't find her attractive and doesn't want to take her out in public, and her last boyfriend Chad is dating her little sister. So she thought it would be ok to take it out on me. I tipped her on top of the extra buck I threw. This place would have been ok if this girl wasn't such a "B" over sweetener. Ok rant done. read more
