Great blueberry fritter, got me full kind and sweet owner who I enjoyed talking to about family quick service, decent variety, quiet slow atmosphere.

Donut Selection

My family's old go to when we lived in AG. When you enter, you are welcomed. They had many donuts to choose from, especially for a Wednesday at 11:30am. Still thick glazed, filled to the max and very fluffy. The place, itself, hasn't changed one bit, since the 90's. Ambiance is still that old donut shop. My daughter loved her pink sprinkled and I loved my Jelly and Custard. My daughter thought that it was so cool that I used to go there as a kid and now she got to go. It was great to share it with her and make our memories.

2 raspberry filled donuts and a bacon maple bar

The lady at the counter was very nice. We got 2 raspberry filled donuts and she filled them up on the spot! Very full and delicious! The bacon maple bar wasn't as expected. We didn't finish that one. The honeydew boba was sweet and good. There wasn't much boba, and the taste and texture of the boba was okay. Overall, a good experience with 2 yummy donuts!

Stopped in for a donut treat and craving got satisfied! I like that their maple bar is not overly frosted, just the way I like it. I hate sticky fingers. They are nice and courteous there and the location is in the same shopping center as Ross!

This is another favorite donut shop that I occasionally like to come by and visit because it's off the freeway of 101. Normally I'll just get like one donut or a croissant always something small. The customer service here is always excellent they tend to please all the customers that frequent their shop. The donuts here are pretty much tasty but I still have my other favorite donut shops along my route while driving on 101. I wish that they had more of a variety but like I said it's off the freeway and I'm just happy that there is a shop that I can go to while I'm on my way to work. And that's my take of this fine little donut shop.

Came here to buy some donut holes and I found a couple dead ants on them. They were sitting there all day in a bag. I'm so disgusted.

Great donuts - fresh and not greasy. Like the ham and cheese croissants as well. Donut holes are particularly good

This is my daughter's go-to for morning coffee and I have to say...she is right! Their coffee is so good with such a great coffee flavor and no bitterness to it at all. All of my cold brew coffees during our trip came from here and I really appreciate the staff working here. Obviously they know her by name and what she orders so on the days I went alone...they remembered me, asked questions about us and our trip and made our orders with great skill and care. I highly recommend this store for any coffee you need and they do also sell some delicious baked goods as well. Great coffee store!!!

They make some of their pastries in-house and also bring in items from other local bakeries. The pastry selection was a bit limited when we visited, but the service was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. We tried the dulce de leche croissant and an iced mocha. The iced mocha was excellent. The croissant wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was tasty and a good value for the price. Overall, a pleasant little spot for coffee and a pastry. I'd definitely come back and try some of their other offerings.

Almost Gourmet Food at Neighborhood Prices…read more.... My wife and I...plus another couple...get together each month for lunch or dinner. Since the owners of the Grover Beach Sourdough bakery recently opened a restaurant for breakfast and lunch, we decided to give it a try. It's a great place. - Overall: 5 - Location: 4 - Ambiance: 5 - Menu: 4 - Food: 5 - Service: 5 - Price and Value: 5 - Parking: 4 - Location: On Grand Avenue 2 blocks off Highway 1...across from their former restaurant, Spoon Trade. It's most convenient if you're near "1" and less so as you get farther away. - Ambiance: Like a "bistro" or cafe. It's not big - 32 seats at various tables - but still feels open and kind of contemporary. - Menu: Small, but interesting. This isn't Denny's with endless choices. There were about 10 choices at lunch...including several items for vegetarians. - Food: Exquisite. People rave about breakfast...but this was 1230 PM on a Friday for lunch. I (and another of the 4 people) had an "open face tuna melt" ($20). Everything was fresh and top of the line quality. My wife ordered Avocado Toast, but they just ran out of avocado (a very busy day) so she also had the Tuna Melt. She said "best I ever had". She's prone to making statements like that, but it was fine. The 4th friend in our group had the Vegetable Hash ($23) and literally cleaned his plate. We also took two 9 ounce containers ($16 each) of their "Soup Of The Day"...Vegan Butternut Squash...home for dinner AND went next door to the bakery and bought 4 chocolate chip cookies. By 130 PM, pickings were pretty slim (they close around 2 PM). - Service: Very friendly and helpful. In fact, the owners - a husband and wife team - worked the floor to ensure everything and everybody was fine. - Price and Value: Perfectly reasonable. - Parking: Some on the street...but most behind the building. Grover Beach Sourdough comes close to serving gourmet food at neighborhood prices.

I love how the source ingredients locally. Guaranteed freshness while supporting business in the area is always a win. Don't miss out on the cheesy bread. You won't regret it. Their bagels are also so good: chewy and cheesy with the jalapeño for a teeny tiny kick. And if you got enough stomach space left, grab some cheesecake.

A MUST STOP on the route north!…read more A local farm turned into a FARMER's market with fresh locally grown produce and U PICK options! Bought one of the triple berry pies and apple crisps to try and they were delicious! The filling for the berry pie was really good slightly tart and sweet. If you like pie crust, the crust was well done too- flaky and crisp. The apple crisp was soooo good- the topping was really tasty and the filling was delicious. I'd go back to try their other pies and hand pies. Feeding the sheep, cow, goats and llamas $3 a head lettuce was so fun! The animals loooove eating the lettuce and it's an enjoyable experience for kids and adults alike. The fields with bales of hay to climb and pose on and also the flower fields to walk around in was also nice too! There was a hay ride, but we were not able to make it-- maybe next time. The food was just mediocre. The pulled pork sandwich had too much sauce on it and it was hard to eat because the bread just fell apart. I wish there were a little more coleslaw on top because it cut the sweetness of the sauce. Would not order again. The tritip sandwich was just okay- lots of thinly sliced meat, but flavor was just alright. Would not order again. The plain hotdog was actually pretty good- it was a big hotdog. Would probably order again for my kid haha. The highlight of the meal was the Brussels sprouts (no pecans and subbed Parmesan for the bleu cheese)! Nicely roasted and seasoned. Definitely would order again! The strawberry lemonade and the oallaberry lemonade were really good- not too sweet and very fruity. Definitely would order again Would definitely come back to spend a couple of hours here!
