September 2026 menu
Nahsee Y.

Okay this is review is since they expanded into the cafe. September 2026 Please note that they dont have an official menu of the Cafe just yet, it looks like a working menu, which I have attached. Bakery has their regular breads, amazing biscuits, basque cheesecake, cookies. Limited items especially as the day progresses. The chocolate chip cookies are out of this world. They are just the right amount of thickness with a bit of chewiness and the perfect amount of salt. We buy 6 of them each time and never regret buying them, wishing I had bought more. The Cafe is a nice space with 6 tables and 4 chairs per. You can order and sit or take it to go. I ordered a egg salad sandwich from the bakery on sourdough and an egg salad sandwich from the Cafe on brioche. The sourdough was a bit too thick and chewy for my taste. And the brioche was a bit dry. The egg salad part was amazing though on both. A good balance and love the touch of shaved red onion. We also ordered the French toast bread pudding. Delicious! Plus that whipped cream is such a great pairing. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Everything can be a bit pricey for some people, but when we drop by its usually for a short vacation so it seems worth it to buy something you will definitely enjoy. Highly recommended!

Visited Grover Beach Sourdough to get some fresh bagels - they did not disappoint! Everything is made fresh daily, and the bagels were absolute perfection. The cream cheese I got with the bagel was also delicious. The service is quick and helpful. The location is pristine - just a short walk to the beach and the dunes! I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of their other products.

Chicken Sausage Sandwich

So much flavor packed into this sandwich! Definitely a bang for your buck at $13. The brioche bun was perfectly fluffy, and the chicken sausage was SO tasty. Easily a 10/10 -- I'd absolutely order it again!

Breakfast Sandwich and Biscuits and Gravy. French Press local coffee. Everything was perfect and delicious.

Consider me one delighted customer that these guys are back at it now with the new side room renovation!! Delicious as ever and fantastic service! After The Spoon Trade closed we were so bummed but having these guys open back up with the new side room is just as great and was such treat! The breakfast sandwich was our favorite today. Perfect soft fluffy egg and we added the homemade chicken sausage. Very well balanced flavors. We came on a Monday so it was easy to get in and the food came out fast. Happy we have a new Monday spot now!

Chicken Salad Melt

So excited to have the cafe at GBS open! We have missed the food at The Spoon Trade since they closed last year, but here they have reinvented themselves as a fabulous little cafe experience. Breakfast and lunch fare that has been thoughtfully reimagined, still highlighting locally sourced ingredients. Early Girl tomato soup that is unlike any other. And if your server suggests toasted sourdough to go with, make sure to say "Yes!" Pair it with a fresh green salad and you have the perfect meal. The chicken salad melt is delicious, heaped on top of a thick slice of sourdough and covered with a toasty skirt of melted cheese. Slabs of juicy red tomato and a bit of arugula make each bite perfect. There's a lot of new dishes to try, so we will be back often.

Driving through and stopped here for a delicious loaf of sourdough. It was still warm when I picked it up and still delicious. Tried their chocolate chip cookies, and they were quite tasty. Has a nice crunch to it, without them being crunchy? I don't know... I just know they were delicious.

Excellent new neighborhood bakery in the heart of Grover Beach. Big, inviting space open for breakfast and lunch. I had the house-made bologna breakfast sandwich and it hit the spot, a warm brioche type bun with hearty fillings. The local support surrounding this spot is deserved, GBS makes good food and the location itself is very convenient and welcoming. Godspeed

Breakfast chicken sausage sandwich and brown butter cookies

Came in for the breakfast sandwich, their options were bologne, or chicken sausage. We settled for the chicken sausage. They were very good! Big portion, so very filling. Also picked up their fave brown butter cookies, Delicious and a couple of small loaves for home. You can also pick up some Deltina coffee here as well. Will have to come back and try their bologne sandwich next time we are in town. Friendly fast service.

We stopped by after the weekend up in Paso Robles for wine tasting and SLO town. It was still early so the town was pretty mellow and starting to open up. Well, this place was very lively and packed when we arrived. They have patio seating with some table's available but once you walk inside, the place was packed. All the tables and seat were utilized with people enjoying their meal and a cup of coffee. And a line forming for ordering. I've only had their drinks and pastries but they do offer food. Seeing what was being picked up and taken back to their seats, everything looked amazing. The open sandwiches, a must try next time we're here. But I was there for one thing, the scones. I don't know if they are made on site or from another establishment but let me say, they are fantastic. Everything was very tasty and not dry like some are. There's always a few selection which does sell out fast. I picked up the blueberry, favorite out of them all and a must try. The lemon which was tasty and not overly sweet and the maple syrup. Slightly sweet but not overly. And they're not dry which was the best part. By the time I ordered mine, majority of them were sold out. People must know about this place. Same thing with the town, I'm not sure if it was more locals or visitors that was visiting the place but it was happening. Besides the drinks and food, they also have coffee and teas for purchase as well as apparels. It's a full coffee shop and cafe with great drinks and delicious looking meals. Plus the customers service is top notch with the sweetest staff. Highly recommended stopping by for a meal or even a coffee.

Ordered the Wake Me Up avocado toast. I'd call it the Drain Your Wallet Avocado toast. Got a 5 inch long piece of bread barely any avocado and 2 sliver thin tomatoes and a pile of micro greens. Board was finished with a pile of rosemary sprigs and basil bigger than the toast. All that for $14.50!!! To boot the zucchini bread was dried out completely except for the center. Sorry guys you blew it. Come look for me at Mule.
