We cannot say enough about Jenny and her business Cake Cathedral. My daughter and her fiancé were married in Morro Bay this February 22, 2025. In our search to find a bakery for their wedding cake, we found Jenny. It was such a pleasure to work with someone who takes a personal interest in every creation. Jenny contacted us as soon as we reached out to her. She prepared amazing tasting boxes so we could all vote on the final flavors for the wedding cake and cupcakes. My daughter and her fiancé decided on a cutting cake and cupcakes to be boxed and sent home with guests. Jenny was patient and accommodating as we made changes and updates to the wedding order and worked well with all the vendors. The cake and cupcakes were delivered in perfect condition and beautifully decorated. The cake flavors were amazing, the frosting was delicious and not too sweet, all the ingredients tasted fresh and balanced. It was so comforting to not worry about this important part of the wedding reception. Jenny from the beginning to the end provided superb customer service and attention to detail. Thank you Jenny for creating the perfect cake and cupcakes for Katie and Beau's wedding.

From the moment we tasted Jenny's cakes we knew that Cake Cathedral was the ONE for our son's wedding cake. She delivered early and with such care. It was exactly what we had asked for and our guests were thrilled with the taste. Thank you Jenny for making the difficult cake choosing process delightful and delicious!

Jenny made the sweetest smash cake for my one year old! It was close to the picture, and the sweetest little cake ever!

We went to Jenny at Cake Cathedral for our wedding cake. Jenny is amazing she knows her cakes and business very well. My husband has some food allergies including dairy. Jenny knew which of her cakes and frosting had dairy and which didn't. Jenny was able to meet up with us last minute. We do not live in Pismo and it was difficult meeting with venders sometimes but Jenny made time for us whenever we had time to go to Pismo. The samples were delicious we even had her do a few recommendations that we ended up going with. Our cake was beautiful and just what we asked for. Jenny knows everyone over at Shell Beach Floral Design so she was able to get our flowers from them and work with them once we told her what we wanted. Not only was our cake beautiful and exactly what we wanted it was also delicious. We got many compliments on our cake and how tasty it was. We definitely recommended Jenny and Cake Cathedral for you wedding cake and or other cake needs.

Jenny did a wonderful job on our wedding cake and mini-cakes. The guest raved!

Not only was the cake amazing but the service as well. Jenny was a dream to work with, she perfectly encompassed my vision with the short amount of time we met (I live out of state). Our wedding mini-cakes were a hit amougst the guest and as was our lovely cake my husband and I shared on our special day! Thank you Jenny!!

I hired Jenny last minute for my wedding on 10/10/20 and I am SO happy I did! Jenny was professional, quick to respond, and made the tastiest cake! I showed her a picture for inspiration and she did a great job! It was BEAUTIFUL and so perfect. I chose carrot cake with cream cheese butter cream and everyone said it was the best carrot cake they've ever had (even my mom who is SUPER critical with her cakes). We planned to pick up the cake at 10am and at 10:10am I received a call from Jenny worried about where we were. My fiancé had forgotten all about the cake! He rushed out and arrived 2 minutes past the pickup time but Jenny was so nice and waited for him to come. I can't thank her enough for calling me when she did otherwise we would have not made it in time and I wouldn't have had a cake for my wedding. Do yourselves a favor and hire Jenny now!

Her specialty is wedding cakes and she has the best prices around! I highly recommend the red velvet and choosing smaller items for the dessert table. She lends you all the stands and trays free of charge and for a small fee can set it all up for you! It will look absolutely gorgeous. You will be thrilled with the way this turns out!

We met with her at a coffee shop because her shop was "temporarily" closed which looking back on it was the first red flag. We ordered a sand castle wedding cake of her lemon flavor. We asked for a very thin layer of chocolate between each layer as her frosting was sweet then. The cake was to look like a sand castle with four short towers. She charged us slightly more than the going rate, but promised us quality so we paid the charge. She wanted cash up front which looking back on it should have been the next red flag. I ordered a hand-painted porcelain topper and had it delivered to her to put on top our cake, which was the only part that looked good on the cake as she had nothing to do with it. We never saw the cake in one piece as it was delivered to our reception at approximately 5:00 pm while we were still at our beach wedding. When our photographer arrived at approximately 6:00 pm one tower was over. When we arrived at 6:30 pm two towers were over and the third was on its way. It was a disaster. Further, the cake was dry and the chocolate layers were exceptionally thick and it just didn't taste good. When we contacted Jenny and let her know what had happened she offered us a measly 25% refund for a cake which was almost inedible and was never in a good enough shape for even a single pic. Further she tried to blame me and the caterer for not stopping the reception to call her to fix her mistake. Do yourself a favor and try a different vendor!

What can I say? Jenny is without a doubt hands down the best baker I've had the pleasure of working with. I had an extremely detailed and specific vision for my wedding cake and Jenny not only knocked it out of the park but it tasted soooooo good. Absolutely loved your work and excited to use your services in the future

I LOVE JENNY!!!! She is a delight to work with and made us feel right at home the minute we walked into our meeting. Her cakes are so delicious! I love the way she sets up the cakes and frostings separately so you can choose the combinations. I have been getting messages all weekend telling me that I had the best wedding cake people have ever tasted and I absolutely agree! It looked gorgeous and it tasted amazing!!! Thank you Jenny! Everything was perfect!!!!

Jenny is like the sweetest person in the world. She is passionate about creating the cake you want. If you want the impossible, she will try! The flavor was awesomely delicious! All the people were asking us where did we get the cake, because it was fabulous! Thanks Jenny!!

Beyond expectations! We had my sister's 40th birthday celebration in Paso and wanted a cake to reflect the occasion. Since I'm not from the area I had to do everything over email. Jenny was very responsive. I sent a couple of examples of what I was looking for and got an amazing cake. The details were incredible! The fondant sausage on top of the cake even had fat striations in it. The cake was tasty and moist, everyone enjoyed it. Jenny is highly recommended!

Jenny did my wedding cake in Oct 2012. I have to say, she is worth every penny! She is very professional and prompt to return any phone calls or emails. My whole experience with her was just perfect! Now for her cake... WOW! The flavors, textures and aesthetics of the cake exceeded my expectations! The cake was beautiful, tasted wonderful! She listened to everything I said and created the perfect cake for my husband and I! Our guests were definitely wowed! Thank You so much Jenny!!

It's tucked away on a side street and if you aren't looking for it, you might miss it. Loved all the design elements, many of which must be original to when the building was first built. Almost throws you back in time. There were 4 cookie choices and were even displayed by the window facing the street but we completely missed seeing them when we walked up. I believe there were 8 ice cream flavors to choose from as well. I was in the mood for a chewy warm cookie and my husband, ice cream. I got a large, thin, oatmeal cookie and he chose strawberry cheesecake ice cream. We enjoyed them both as we continued walking downtown. The cookie was the perfect amount of chewiness and not crumbly. Despot it being thin, there was a perfect balance of the brown sugar and oatmeal flavor in every bite. Did not miss having chocolate chips or raisins in it either. I wish I had bought two!!! The ice cream was very creamy and a nice subtle cheesecake flavor. The strawberry flavor came from actual pieces of strawberries on the ice cream. The service was pleasant and the ambiance was calm. Perfect way to top off the evening stroll!

Feels like Istanbul, Turkiye with the Ambiance, Turkish lamps, aromas and Turkish confectionery…read moredisplayed! What a delight to stroll upon a Lokum on Higuera Street in beautiful San Luis Obispo or "SLO" as locals seem to tag it in their marketing. Having visited the famous Istanbul Bazar several years a go and purchased Turkish lamps for our home, we indeed feel "Right at home"! In the SLO Lokum store. Over the decades we have appreciated the sugary Turkish Delight and baklava treats. It has been both of our late father's favorite deserts and my Dad live in Altayna, Turkiye for a decade so I can appreciate the delicious offerings as after diner offering. Our host was extremely friendly, helpful and generous in our sampling and guidance about our inquiries. We left with a special experience and amble confectionery items for our travels back to San Francisco! Highly recommend Lokum!

Flavorwise, these were all pretty good, but could've been doused in less rose syrup. What I felt could've been better was the texture. The ones I got weren't fresh since the roll and triangle seemed stale. The freshest and crispiest one I had was the chocolate one though. For $5-$6 for a tiny piece of baklava, this was too overpriced for what was given. I would be given larger portions of baklava at around the same price at nice sit down restaurants. Additionally, the service here wasn't the best. I was ignored by the staff who opted to serve 2 groups of white people who came in after me. When I was finally served, the staff weren't very welcoming or friendly to me. Not sure if this was racially motivated, but that was my perception of the vibe. Overall, pretty disappointed with the experience. I would maybe try this again, but wouldn't come out of my way to try this again.

This is how we came to know about her and her shop, as we made a special pit stop to visit Breda in downtown SLO on the way home from a SoCal trip. The Good: * More than just desserts, as they also offer afternoon tea services, as well as a curated selection of savory foods like pizza, salads, and sandwiches. * Afternoon tea reservations are available via OpenTable. * We just came in to grab some of her beautiful monoportions which were featured on the show, and they did not disappoint. They were absolutely stunning and looked surreal. * I didn't try the mango one, but my son said it was delicious, so I'll take his word for it. * The raspberry monoportion was as delicious as it was fantastic. I am sad it fell apart on the four-hour trip home to SJ from SLO before I could fully capture its beauty. The Meh: * Street parking only. * Service was OK but nothing noteworthy. * The peanut monoportion was just OK. The peanut flavor was a bit muted for our liking. The Ugly: * Prices are available online, but nothing was marked in the store, which is one of my pet peeves. Conclusion: Probably 3.5 stars, but rounded up because we were really only in and out and didn't try enough.
