I have been to this Slim Chicken a few times now and the food and service has been good. A nice restaurant with a very big dining area. Not very busy at lunch so no wait. The parking lot may be full but the people are next door at the brunch buffet spot. I ordered a 6 piece chicken wings meal. I like Slim Chicken because you can mix what flavors you want. Most of the flavors taste about the same except the Garlic Parmesan. The fries are good. Sometimes the chicken wings can be over cooked which makes them dry. It seems to be the luck of the draw. A good tasting Ranch dipping sauce and the toast is okay. My husband gets the Chicken strips and Waffles. The waffle has been freshly made and very good. The strips are pretty good as well. read more

My boys and I loved the wings, deserts, and vibe. Food was good and fast! Deserts were a must! And you get to keep the glass jars! Felt like a family reunion. Highly recommend. read more

This was my first time getting something from SC. Someone did a lunch run, and I chose the salad. I mean, really, you can't get that wrong.....right? The presentation of the salad was great; it looked very appetizing and filling. My issue was/is that they may have made it "pretty" to hide what was underneath. The fried onions were a bit too salty, but combined with the other toppings, they were balanced. The additions were fine; however, the chicken was bland and skimpy. It looked like it was one strip, cut into several mini-pieces. Despite the bland taste, the lettuce was the real issue. Unlike the other reviewer, who somewhat said the same about the salad, my lettuce wasn't wilted, but it did taste as if it had not been washed. If it had been washed and it still tasted like that, it should have been thrown away. I ended up doing that, threw it away. When it comes to salads, I'll continue to stick with Chick-fil-A and a few others who always serve great quality salads. read more

Multiple kids behind the counter messing around no one had a clue what was going on. My husband went back up there again trying to figure out where our food way.... We were visiting Mansfield and had a craving for some cheesecake! Slim Chickens is a little scarce on this side of town we are located so it's always nice to visit a popular staple . I had ate prior to coming but wanted to alleviate my sugar craving . Stopped through the drive through and I had the cherry cheesecake and some of my wife's fries . The cherry cheesecake was above average , however I disliked the bottled cherries it came with( tasted artificial ). It threw me off because it went from tasty to dissatisfying so I had to eat around the cherries. The fries were fresh and seasoned well. I look forward to coming back and checking out a chicken sandwich . read more

This place seems to get worse every time I visit. It's just this location. There could be hardly anyone in the drive through but you're going to wait roughly 10-15 minutes per car. Today was no exception. I was behind a black suv, they waited at the line so long to pay for and get their food, they finally just pulled off. When I moved up, the guy read the order which had to be the previous car. I told him that they waited so long that they just pulled off. I had three chic's meals. Three sauces: Two Korean bbq and a ranch. Got home, food cold and no sauces in any of the three boxes. They got food just bad service read more

This is my favorite fast food place & it's not even close. The chicken & waffle is top tier & everything else on the menu is sublime! We had a slight mishap on an order & the manager Curtis was very courteous & fixed it promptly! read more

Haven't ordered here in a while, DoorDashed some wings tenders and side salad, food arrived on time and received everything but the quality of the lettuce in the salads has gone down hill. Especially with the parasite going around in lettuce right now was hesitant on ordering salads, but wanted to give it a try, ended up throwing them away and making my own because they did not look fresh which if the quality is bad then that means it's not being washed correctly either. read more

Got a salad here on my lunch break and the lettuce was completely wilted and black and nasty and the cucumbers were slimy. Called the restaurant to let them know and see what I could do and everyone was completely clueless. They said I'd have to wait until manager was there to get info on what to do. Advised them they should not serve any of these salads to customers because it's gross! read more

OMG!! On 4/5/2025 at about 6:30pm, I ordered (via drive through) the 6-wing meal with the potato salad as my side. The potato salad looked terrible and smelled awful. I didn't even taste it. See the pictures. Once I pulled up to the window...I waited 7 minutes and when I asked what was taking so long for a 6-piece wing meal, the cashier looked at a chubby guy (who she said was the cook) and just turned back to me and giggled. Last but not least, they didn't give me a receipt. read more

Every time I have come here they have gotten the order wrong in the drive thru. Tonight order a 5 strip meal received a 4 strip meal and no sauces when I paid for extra sauces. Canes never messes it up so I guess canes will be the only place to go for this type of meal. read more

I have been going here for years. Apparently they are under new ownership. Before if you substituted sides that were the same price, no problem. Now it's a $.49 upcharge. And since I've been going there you could get the senior discount. I was informed that they no longer offer the senior discount. I will no longer go here..... read more

food is always great and staff is always very nice

Waited 30 minutes before getting seen and was told they are out of chicken sandwiches at 3pm

Absolute best chicken place. Great wings and tenders- flavorful and juicy. Slim sauce goes with anything. Skip the fries, but you don't need them, because the chicken is so great. And the desserts are better than any other fast food restaurant you will ever go to- going there just for the dessert is even a treat. This goes for all Slim Chickens. read more

This place first appeared on my radar in Waco Texas! The food was wonderfully cooked! The chicken was a bit too salty for my taste. It was prepared fresh and did not appear to have been left hanging out with the warmer. The waffle was fluffy and soft. I wish it could be a little sweeter in taste. There was not a long wait and them service was awesome. The dinning room was clean and cheerful looking with the Coca-Cola machine! Happy eating people! Enjoy read more

If I was rating the drive thru staff it would be a 5star! However the food rating gets a 2. No seasoning on the chicken or fries. Fries were cold. I had the tenders and fries, not impressed with the slim sauce. Went at 12pm during lunch. Drive thru did go fast. read more

Orders the wings they were cold and super dry won't order them again, the fries and toast were good

SLOWEST line ever. there were 3 people in front of us when we ordered, which was more difficult than it should've been. The girl mumbled random things I couldn't understand, and didn't acknowledge when I mentioned my coupon. After getting over that hurdle, I waited in line 10 minutes and still no one in line budged. No food was brought out, nothing. Waited 5 more minutes since I rlly wanted slims but still no movement in the line so we went to canes and guess what. food was hot and fresh right at the window when i pulled up. DO BETTER. read more

Came here after it was recommended to us. We were unfortunately thoroughly underwhelmed. We got the chicken club sandwich, and subbed the ranch for the cayenne ranch. This place was good for the first 6 months.. After, it went down hill! THAT SAYS A LOT! Terrible! Do not give your money to this place, lose weight and starve, I assure you, it's way better than eating this crud! The customer service is crap because they pay the people NOTHING! The environment is nice, BUT, the employees are not paid enough to clean. How funny. Move on, and eat @ a hole in the wall girl.. read more

I'm always impressed when i eat here. I order the same thing. The chicks meal(chicken tenders with French fries) I love it! My food is always fresh and always well seasoned. I love the juicy ness when you bite into the chicken, the fries are also always well seasoned and perfect. The food comes really quickly and the staff are friendly. Even when I dine in, the restaurant is nice, spacious, I'm comfortable, you can look outside and see the view of the highway. It's a great meet up spot with friends because not only are you satisfied with a good meal but your able to hangout, talk, or watch tv on the little tv set they have hanging up. My Bestie was visiting from Ga, and decided to try this place out. It didn't disappoint! I got the 3x3 wings/tenders served with FF. She got the Chicken club with FF. Both were super fresh and hot. Everything is cooked to order. And I telling you it's worth the wait, maybe 10mins. Mine was covered in this garlic butter sauce and shredded parmesan cheese. Hers consist of full chicken breast with L,T,and 3 slices of crispy bacon on a brioche bun. She said it was the best chicken club she has ever had! The menu consists of everything chicken. Sandwiches, wraps, salads and waffles too! Chose of sauces for dipping tenders, and drenching over wings They also have the cutest lil mason jar desserts. Favors vary by week. On Sunday, it was Oreo cream, Butter pecan, Pumpkin Spice and Chocolate Brownie. We wanted to try all of them, @ $6.99. But decided that will be another time. They just need to bring one East of Dallas, Like ROCKwall! read more

Visited this place yesterday. I don't have much to compare it to. I was visiting Dallas and had never heard of this place because we don't have them in Atlanta, GA. I simply ordered chicken tenders, fries and peach tea. The tenders had good seasoning. The fries were just ok. The peach tea was pretty tasty. The customer service was good. No complaints there but I ordered via drive through. Service was quick. read more

Came to this spot for lunch . My first time at this location. I ordered the Memphis BBQ sandwich meal. In total was 9.30. Was it worth it .. no. The fries were fresh.. and Hot. However , if I were you I would head to Raisin canes and get that 3 finger chicken sandwich for 7.99. Because all slim chickens did was take their regular chicken sandwich and dunk it like 5 times in BBQ sauce, threw some slaw and pickles on it and charged extra. I'm not saying it's bad tasting but I'm not really saying it's good either . I am saying it's not worth 9.30 . The fries were hot tho. read more

The food is generally good here and the employees are polite but 2 of the 3 times we have been to this location we wait and wait and wait for our food. Our last visit was Wednesday, 8/16/2023. We placed a to-go order online, and to be fair, the order came through after I was in the restaurant. I waited patiently while walk-ins and to go orders were served. The young lady was working the front by herself and had her hands full. I waited 40-minutes for my order. The order was ready 5-10 minutes before it was handed to me. I think the order was placed on the rack and the team failed to tell the young lady the order was ready. I finally got up to ask them to refund the order and we would go elsewhere and that is when it was discovered my order was sitting there. We like the food here and the employees are good but the overall efficiency could be improved. JF Allen, TX read more

Slim chickens has always been a great place to eat. I don't what has happened to this restaurant. While the food flavoring and sauces were fantastic, I was disappointed that the food itself was lukewarm. I ordered a family meal with extra side and some wings. The wings were tasty, chicken tenders had terrific flavor, macaroni and cheesy and good flavor, the ranch chips amazing...nothing was hot. I live right down the street, not even a half mile and for the $50 I spent it should have been hot. Not sure if I'll be returning, might give them another chance. read more

Slim Chickens - First time here - Chicken Shop Near Me - Mansfield, Texas

This place is right up my alley, chicken, sauces and fries, yes I'm down for all that. I like it here more than Canes and the Slim Chicken's app rewards you for when you visit so that a benefit as well. I tend to get the 5 piece Tenders deal it's like $8 and change including a drink, and you get two sauces the cayenne ranch is so good, and I usually always get garlic parmesan. The mac and cheese is good and I've tried the Cayenne ranch chicken sandwich as well. And don't forget the dessert, the strawberry cheesecake jar is delish to end it all. read more
