Ordering the caniac means I spent over $15 that I can't even eat. Food quality has gone way down. UPDATE: I contacted the Cane's location and let them know about the chicken strips and they offered to remake them when I come in next time. I'll be updating this post once I go and try the strips again. The manager said they have a different timer for naked wings so we'll see if that is true.

I don't necessarily think Cane's chicken strips themselves are anything groundbreaking, but their…read moresauce? That's the real star. I love it so much that I've made a copycat version at home multiple times -- and honestly, it tastes exactly like the real thing. I'm also a big fan of their buttery Texas toast (always a win), but the sweet coleslaw just isn't for me. I usually swap it out for an extra sauce instead, which is the move if you're sauce-obsessed like I am. Fun fact: Cane's is where I learned that half unsweetened iced tea and half lemonade is called an Arnold Palmer -- and now I order it everywhere. Overall, Cane's is simple and really all about that sauce.

They have several chicken flavors, we ordered the hot pepper half chicken. It was SOOOOO GOOD! The pieces were all crispy, the batter was flavorful, and just the right level of spiciness (more medium to lo-high spice level). It is a bit pricey at about 30 per chicken, with no sides, but it was worth the satisfaction of eating such rich-flavored chicken. We took them home & enjoyed them with steamed rice at home. Staff was friendly & order came out fresh in less than 10 minutes.

We ordered the spicy garlic fried chicken (SO flavorful and totally addictive!) and the cheese donkatsu (we were surprised that this turned out to be essentially open face mozzarella sticks with a fried chicken wrapper). The cashier was friendly and though it took a little while for our food to be made, worth it.

The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, but by the time we sat down, it started filling up with the lunch crowd. A dry rub (instead of a sauce) is used for the chicken. You can choose the spice level according to your preference. While the chicken is not for me, I'd still rate this establishment a 10/10 based on customer service. 18 photos should be included, although Yelp doesn't always post them all with my review.

This review is based on today's service only. I've been coming here often because the food and…read moreservice are usually good--except for today. I ordered Combo #1 with an extra side dish, but I received the wrong order. The packaging looked different than usual, which is how I noticed something was off. I went inside and spoke to the manager, Jessica, and explained that my order was incorrect. Instead of helping, she insisted that the drive-thru employee had confirmed the order and told me that I was wrong. I know what I ordered and what I usually eat, so it was frustrating to be dismissed like that. Customers shouldn't be told they're wrong without consideration. I then asked if the owner was there--he's an Asian gentleman I've spoken to before. Jessica responded by calling me "racist," which was surprising and confusing. I explained that I'm Asian as well, so that accusation didn't make sense. As a manager, this situation could have been handled much better with a simple apology and an offer to fix the order, like: "I'm sorry about that, let me remake it for you." Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing compared to my usual visit

I have a simple rule: if I don't smell smoke when I walk into a place that claims to sell barbecue,…read moreI probably shouldn't order the barbecue. Unfortunately, this experience proved my point. I ordered half a pound of ribs and four brisket tacos. The ribs had a smoke ring and some smoky flavor, and most were tender--although a few were overcooked. They arrived lukewarm, and the ends were tough, which made me wonder whether they had been sitting for a while or reheated. This was my second time trying the brisket tacos because I wanted to give them another chance. The salsa is really good, but without it, the tacos have no flavor. The brisket tastes completely unseasoned, and I honestly questioned whether it was brisket at all. The customer service was good , and I want to be clear about that. Unfortunately, great service could not make up for food that was extremely disappointing. I had also tried the catfish before, and it didn't taste like catfish to me. After giving the food more than one chance, I don't plan to return.
