Well, a friend from out of state recommended this place. Said it was better than Caines. In some ways, I can see why he thought that. For example, they also have wings, milkshakes, and salads... as well as chicken and waffles! Several different kinds of teas, as well as lemonade, and some other specialty drinks, along with your typical soda fountain (see pics). This location was recently built, so everything is newish, and well-maintained. There's a large inside dining area, as well as a small outside covered dining area. The atmosphere is your typical fast food casual. They did a good job of taking the order, and explaining their menu. The food came out fairly quickly. However, we ordered our french fries, extra crispy and not only were they not extra crispy, they weren't even hot. The chicken was excellent and hot! Note: They have a large selection of dipping sauces, which Caines does not. The chicken fingers, fries are served with toast, but not Texas toast, and does not include coleslaw.... Which may explain why their pricing appears to be slightly lower than Caines. We will definitely be back, the expanding menu with shakes is appealing to us! If you haven't tried this place, I would strongly encourage you to!

This was my first time here & I was presently surprised! They have some fresh tasting items. The staff was really nice & friendly and the restaurant was really clean. The sandwich was seasoned superbly, the strawberry cheesecake jar was delicious and not too sweet plus the jar is reusable. I just wish the pickles weren't so salty, the batter was light though. I'll definitely go back, there's more items that caught my eye.

Went here for lunch with a coworker and honestly wasn't mad about it at all!!! We arrived close to 12 pm so it wasn't too many people there. I'm not sure if the cashier realized it was our first time being there but I will say I felt real rushed to make a choice, which I didn't like and should be noted. Again...there was literally one person behind us who had stated he was there to pick up an order. Once I got past that, I just made the quicker choice I could make which was to get the Slim's Meal (3 tenders/choice of side/drink). My coworker got the wing meal with a side of Mac and cheese and drink. I'm so glad I got the tenders. Not only were they juicy they were also very well seasoned so I was so happy with my choice. The lemonade...bomb! Not too tart or too sweet. It was just right. The fries were hot and seasoned well too. I tried a wing (buffalo) and It was the typical buffalo flavor. My friend said the Mac and cheese was ok. I'd try it myself to get a good personal review. For it to have been lunch time, the dining room wasn't packed at all. It was clean and I was happy that it wasn't too loud. The drink station was clean was definitely a breath of fresh air and they had a great variety of soft drinks, flavored lemonade and teas (several). Nice touch! The only thing I would have liked to have seen was someone cleaning the tables once diners left. I should also mention that there is a drive thru so if you want to try it that way it is an option. Overall dining experience was a 4 star. The initial customer service could have been 100 times better, which actually discouraged me from deciding on dessert or not, but other than that it wad a great lunch spot. I'd definitely go back!

Pretty simple and to the point. Great Chicken and even better service. I will make this a regular stop when in Coppell!

I was craving garlic parmesan wings & a side salad today. And BOOM I was able to get both in 1 meal. The chicken strips came in a garlic parmesan wet sauce that was seasoned to perfection. Wonderful food & prompt service - I'll return at least once a week to try other menu items.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

They did seem a little busy and I believe there may have been a shift change at some point. It took us 15 mins to get a table outside. I will add the wait time is the only bummer in my experience. It took a good minute to get our beverages and food. There was a crowd but it seemed to be in and out pretty quicky. The food was great! I ordered their sangria, very refreshing and not overly sweet. Southern shakshuka. $15.99 two eggs* baked in a tomato, spinach, & peperonata sauce, over stone-ground goat cheese grits, topped with basil (710 cal) - This combo was good, loved the creaminess and even had leftovers for the next day. Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken & Waffles $16.99 Hand-breaded crispy chicken tenders drizzled with sriracha honey, served over golden buttermilk waffles. --enjoyed the Spiciness it truly was subtle but did grow as you continued to eat. The buttermilk Waffles were fluffy and light and full bite with the drizzled syrup was everything. Enjoyed the flavors of the whiskey flight and happy you have the flavor cards to be able to give the tasting a proper review. Over all price is average in comparison but the food quality is there so I have no issue spending an extra dollar or so. I would like to stop by again when it's less busy.

This place is truly something special, from the gracious hospitality to the incredible menu. The menu delivers elevated Southern comfort food that somehow manages to feel both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. I've worked my way through almost the entire menu over multiple visits, and I can honestly say that everything is incredible. Every time I take someone new there, I tell them that there hasn't been one dish that I've ever thought "meh" about. Every dish is so flavorful and outstanding. That said, I absolutely have my go-to order: the cornbread (a must), the southern greens, and the fried chicken. The cornbread is almost like a melt in your mouth dessert, that I happily start every visit with. The greens are packed with rich, savory flavor, and I'm not kidding when I say that every time I have them, I literally dream about them for weeks after. And the duck fat fried chicken? Crispy, juicy, and hands-down some of the best I've ever had. Beyond the food, the whole experience just feels thoughtful, from the quality of ingredients to the execution of every dish. You can tell there's real intention behind everything coming out of the kitchen. If you're anywhere near Farmers Branch, this spot is worth going out of your way for. And if it's your first visit--trust me, get the cornbread, southern greens, and fried chicken. You'll be dreaming about it later.

This visit we didn't get any entrees or drinks we were there for the cake. We don't have one in our state so we were ECSTATIC to find out there were a few in the metroplex area. We did go 2 out of our 4 days there. Just get the cake, ask for a middle piece. Everything is locally sourced and the whipped cream is made fresh and you can tell. Every bite is heaven. The slices are pretty big so 2 of us share one. The service is fantastic and fast. Zero complaints. The space is large, comfortable, and full of life, even on a Wednesday evening. There are cozy sofa corners if you want something a little more intimate, plus an outdoor area that's "outside"... but not too outside, which honestly feels like a win. Drinks were a highlight. My boulevardier was spot on, and then I shared a smoked Old Fashioned with my friend that was just... exquisite. Smooth, balanced, and a little dramatic in the best way. Food held its own. The chicken and waffles were delicious, the chopped chicken salad was fresh and satisfying, and my friend's Reuben got a lot of love from her side of the table. And then came dessert. We shared the Whiskey Cake with praline ice cream, and let's just say, it lives up to the name. Decadent, rich, and absolutely worth it. Service was really good. Attentive without hovering, and thoughtful in those small ways that stand out. At one point, our server split the Old Fashioned for us without us even asking. That kind of anticipation earns points. This is the kind of place you return to when you're back in town. Comfortable, reliable, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat.

Upon arrival, we were quickly greeted by the hostess and seated without a wait. Within no time, the server arrived with water and gave us time to look over the menu. It is a relatively large menu with lots of options so I appreciated the extra time. For my entree, I decided to go with the Grilled Blackened Catfish which came with a bed of dirty rice and a salad. While waiting for our food, the server brought out a basket of bread rolls which were very tasty. After a relatively short wait, our food was delivered. While the catfish was not as blackened as I prefer, it was flavorful. My friend ordered the chicken fried steak and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It has been on my list to try for a while, so we finally stopped in on a lazy Sunday. It was not crowded at all. The sandwich was HUGE (as my husband likes to say "quantity is a quality all on its own"). I was very glad we spilt it. That said, I could easily be convinced the chicken was a frozen patty, since there was nothing particularly special about it. The fries looked so promising and homemade with that brown patina (think Five Guys), which had me excited, but they ended up flabby and not very hot, insert sad face. All in all, it is another DFW spot I am glad I tried once, but I do not feel the need to go back.
