I love trying new fast-food trends, but we don't typically frequent places like this, usually opting for a more gourmet (aka overpriced) salad or sandwich spot. But when I heard about the "Sub in a Tub" (basically a deconstructed sub or, as I like to call it, "lazy person's salad"), I had to give it a go. We ordered a medium Club Sub in a Tub, Mike's Way--hold the onions, extra pickles, and Mike's pepper spread. And WOW, it hit the spot! It could've used a little more dressing and maybe a bit more lettuce (let's be real, I want this thing to look more like a salad and less like an explosion of deli meat). Next time, I'm taking it home, adding some extra romaine, crumbled blue cheese, and making it a true DIY gourmet experience. The workers were super sweet, though they seemed a bit perplexed by my order--like I had just revealed a deep conspiracy hidden in their menu. But hey, secret menu items are meant to be mysterious! Since this place is close to my house, I gave it another try after staying away for months. I really like the sandwiches but accuracy is still a problem. It is really incredible how often the order is incorrect. Advice- if you order to go, you should take the order out of the bag and open the sandwich to make sure you got what you wanted. ! It is that bad. Advice to manager (or absent manager during lunch ) - if you are going to staff 8-10 people to handle the lunch rush with all Hispanics , try to ensure more than one of them can read and understand the English language. And the griddle cook can read and interpret an order ticket. Write the order ticket in Spanish if that will help him/her get the order correct. Also , why put the newest employee on the register to be a very customer facing staff member when they don't have a clue what they are doing. ? When Jersey Mike's says a sub above, they do usually mean it. Before Subway refurbished it's menu to well, for lack of a better explanation, mimic the setup of Jersey Mike's there was basically no contest between the two. Out of the mass market submarine sandwich chains Jersey Mike's is best of breed. They slice the proteins to order, which I guess now Subway does too, but it was pioneered en masse by Jersey Mike's. This particular outpost is located near many office towers and plazas, perfect for lunch or to grab a quick bite to eat on your way home. I usually go with Giants as they're enough to feed 2 people and represent the best "value" relatively speaking. I do wish that their roast beef that was cooked medium or perhaps even a little less, but that's just a personal preference. I have noticed that they've become a bit more misery with the proteins, and they're not alone in this, which is a bit of a let down as that's the most exciting part of a sandwich. Also a place like this is perfect for the picky eater in your family or group, as each person can customize their order to include or exclude many options. Yes, there is always that strange bird who orders a sub with no lettuce, onions, sauces, or cheese, yet Jersey Mike's will still accommodate them, despite doing so being almost questionable. Do you know how it is when you are feeling defeated but one simple thing brightens your day? That is exactly how I felt when Jersey Mike's donated lunches to us in the hospital. They weren't obligated to do it and no one asked. I'm sure their business has been much slower due to COVID 19. Still, they provided lunch to us and I don't think they will know just how much it meant to feel appreciated. They provided a large selection of sandwiches, including vegetarian! I have stopped by for a sub about five or six times in the last few months, and have not had a bad experience yet. Much better quality than Subway or Jimmy Johns and service has been friendly. I haven't been to a Jersey Mike subs in 3 years because of the untrained employees they had at that time. Today I decided every business deserves a 2nd chance. At 10:10 AM, I was the only customer. I ordered a Chipotle Cheese Steak, which they kept referring as a no. 43. The Female employee couldn't stop talking to her co-worker in Spanish while he was cooking. The manager seemed busy with his laptop. I turned to check a text for a second and there was the manager ready to collect my money while my dud was been delivered to me by the attendant. I did pay right away. Then I asked "wait, aren't you going to ask me if I would like any lettuce, tomato, etc? The response was " Well, do you? That's how the sub is listed in the menu". I said, well I already paid and the sun is already wrap. The manager intervened and share the same Stupid statement " That's how is comes, is on the menu". I always go with the chipotle cheese steak when I'm here. It has pretty good meat portion and the sauce is flavorful. The regular sandwich is a decent size, although overall it's a little pricey for a sandwich. The workers are pretty nice and everything comes out really quickly. Inside has some seating but is kinda small. Overall a solid stop for a quick meal. read more

Most every time I've went here I've gotten a great sub. Lunch time was busy today. I ordered a turkey sub on white with salami added. I noticed that the employee in charge of slicing meats and cheeses was skimping hard on meat with the orders in front of me. (Lunch, May 17th) - I asked for a little extra turkey on mine when she did the same and I got legit one extra slice. The turkey looked a mess too.. I'm referring to them as slices because I don't know what else to call the cuts of meat that went on my sandwich. The sandwich was 80% bread and I'm not exaggerating. I didn't want to argue so I asked for double turkey and said there wasn't enough or as much turkey as normal. I frequent this location. The employee held it out, moving it around, and said "do you want me to weigh it?!". Again, didn't want to deal with the situation. At this point, I'm wanted to leave the store asap. I came here for a sandwich and not a debate and scale stunt. I said I'll pay for extra turkey. Ridiculous. I speak up when I see something wrong. Seems no one else felt they could. I wasn't going to bring a crappy sandwich back to my partner for our lunch. Anyway, I ended up spending an arm and a leg ($22.25) for a hopefully okay sandwich made by people who didn't care how it turned out and had a heart rate of 128 when I got in my car, feeling nauseous from the stress. I had to advocate so hard for myself in there to walk out with an acceptable amount of meat. Why? The toppings employee was nice btw. Think I want to come back? Don't get me wrong, I really like Jersey Mikes sandwiches and sub in a tub but Now avoid this location at all costs. When you place a Mobil order the sandwiches you get are not what you ordered. Once a few of us at work ordered on the app 3 sandwiches with no modifications. When I opened "my sandwich" it was completely different. I mean all different toppings not mikes way. Some kind of pepper relish that I didn't know they even had. It was disgusting to say the least. Calling and complaining is a waste of time because they keep telling you they'll call you back but never do. This has happened too many times so we give up. I LOVE this place! i go there at least once a week (usually more). Their cold subs are very tasty! The freshly sliced meat, the veggies and the juice. I have tried the hot subs and although they are tasty, my heart goes to the cold subs every time. They do it right at Mike's! 8.8.09 - the philly cheesesteaks here are DA BOMB. they have so much flava and the bread is just oh so perfect!! I've had to eliminate bread from my diet for health reasons, but they can make ANY sub into a salad. I cannot tell you how fantastic their tuna salad is. It really fills you up. The other day I had a chicken philly salad....good lord. it was just so fantastic. I'm so happy that they can do that. I can keep on eating here all the time! read more

I decided to try Jersey Mike's after getting a free coupon for a regular sub to this place for donating blood (only had to pay for the chips & drink). The environment is inviting, bringing New Jersey right to Texas. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of cold and hot sandwiches and salads on their menu. I decided to order the Chicken Parm sub sandwich. The ingredients are fresh, hot, and filling. I didn't think I would finish the whole sandwich, but I did. While it's not exactly like Subway due to a limited selection of bread and sauces for your sandwiches, Jersey Mike's is a unique chain restaurant. The experience at this Jersey Mike's was just okay. The place was neat and clean like most restaurants in the era of covid-19, so no complaints there. However, the service could be friendlier and the sandwich-makers more attentive to the orders. I had to correct the guy making my order twice as he was making one of my sandwiches and he was the one that took my order! Additionally, the other guy who made my hot sandwich forgot to add mayo, which I didn't find out until I got home. Don't even try to make an online order - they are really understaffed and did not dedicate any resources to filling online orders. I waited over 40 minutes and couldn't even get a confirmation that they had my order. When I requested a refund, she just said "we will do it later." I know staffing challenges exist, but basically acknowledging that your or your order is unimportant certainly doesn't make one want to return. read more

I hate to rate this place so low because the food is decent. The reason for such a low rating is because the employee I encountered here was sooo rude and unprofessional!! If you don't like servicing people then find another profession please. I went to this location for a late lunch with two of my coworker, everything was great we were assisted by a nice man who fixed our sandwiches and explained the menu to my coworker as this was her first visit. Some lady came out the back to help the guy finish up with our orders, we noticed she didn't wash her hands so we politely asked her to do so and please put on gloves....well I guess she didn't like that and proceeds to check us out, well I swiped my card and the key pad froze up or something so I asked the lady for assistance to get to the next screen. I guess she ASSUMED I was trying to get past the tip screen and made the comment "Oh I know you people don't like to tip" wooow I was pissed and I if wasnt starving I would have demanded a refund!!! The 2 guys that were there go in the back and are having a very loud conversation and one of the guys is using very fowl language. It made us very uncomfortable. A friend bought me lunch here the other day and it was pretty darn good! Granted, there are plenty of sandwich shops around this area, but this place has got a nice cheesesteak. I ordered the #43 on white - which is basically grilled steak, onions and peppers, gooey melted cheese and chipotle mayo. They didn't skimp on the meat, which was wonderful and hot off the grill. The onions and peppers were so plentiful that they were everywhere by the time I finished the sandwich. I loved the chiptole mayo they used too - really gives the sandwich a unique kick in the pants. God, I can't wait to try all of their sandwiches. Besides the cheesesteaks and other hot sandwiches, there are a variety of cold ones including Italian, Tuna, Club and so on. They also have wraps, which are basically sandwiches for those who don't want carbs and would rather have a tortilla instead of bread. They also have salads or you can order your cold sandwich in a "Sub Tub", whcih means it's basically everything in that sub except except the bread gets tossed into a bowl and you eat with with a fork and knife. Who does that, though? Come on! Location is nice and in the more upscale part of Irving. It's small, but clean and efficient. Definitely worth going here for lunch if you're in the area. read more

There's some stiff competition as far as sammies go in this area, so I definitely didn't want to waste money on just any run of the mill chain restaurant. But putting my faith in my fellow yelpers I tried Jersey Mike's out this afternoon, and I've gotta say that I'm a believer. Now I've only had one item on the menu here if you don't count the water, so all I can vouch for is the #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. Why is it #56? Because there are 56 different items on the menu? No. Is it because it's Mike's favorite number? I don't know. Looks like the numbering system will forever remain a mystery to me. What I do know is that I don't think I've ever had tastier, gooey-er cheesesteak in my life. The meat was moist and tender. I was expecting a little more flame from the jalapeno peppers, but I guess they were hot enough. This truly is a rock solid sandwich. It's clear the philosophy at Jersey Mike's is "bigger is better." I got a regular size sandwich that was pretty large by most standards. I can only imagine how big the giant size is. I doubt I'd even be able to fit my mouth around it (that's what she said). I've been eating from big name chains for too long! This place is great, because they dig the extra "white stuff" out of the bread. It has the Jersey feel...that unfamiliar feeling of being downtown upstate somewhere. Not exactly, but pretty close to that feeling. I had the Baja Chicken Wrap, which was pretty standard. My coworker had a chicken salad sub, which looked delicious, just because it had the fattening mayonnaise! The cashier was odd with me and we (my cowoker and I) agreed he was hitting on me. I had Jersey Mike's for the first time other day. For the same price as Subway you are getting a much much better sub. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and watched them grill it right in front of me even though the place was packed! By the time I worked my way through the line to the cashier it was ready for me. The bread was very fresh and good. Not a lot of options between white and wheat, but we are making a sub here. It doesn't have to be tricked up if it is excellent right? And it was! The steak was high quality and was a very generous portion. Far more than I expected. The cheese was far better than what most sub shops try to pass off as American cheese. It was very good Provolone. My only dings would be the chocolate chip cookie was pretty bland, and there was really not much seating for the amount of business they were doing. I visited here with some colleagues for lunch the other day and found my newest favorite sandwich shop. I'm one of the pickier eaters, and they delivered everything I could have asked for. The meat/cheese portions were generous, the ingredients were fresh, and everything was put together exactly as I ordered it. I loved the spice blend and the olive oil blend. Really gave the sandwich that little bit of extra flair. It's rare I eat every bite of a sandwich, and I ate every last crumb only to still crave more. I thought about the place all weekend and couldn't wait for lunchtime Monday! I liked that they weren't weighing things with a scale or rationing napkins and condiments like the well-known Q or S chains do. Aside from that, the staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. In fact, the staff's enjoyment was contagious and me enjoy my visit.
