Came here a last week. I've heard nothing but good things about this spot. Walked in nothing special inside. A few seats seems like every grabs and goes the employees are super friendly. Looked at the menu and the sandwich looked good almost went with spicy Italian but settled on the Philly cheese steak sandwich Every meat appeared to be boars head. After today, 2/27/25, I won't be back. this is the 3rd time in a month I have gone and no hoagies. You can't get a sub sandwich without a hoagie. Then they wanna make you a sandwich, 2 pieces of bread and meat, for the same price $7.99, ridiculous, if your not gonna have hoagies you should discount the price! Paid $26 for 2 sandwiches, chips and drink. they dont care about their customers or they would have hoagies and would not charge same price, you get way more on a hoagie and bigger size than a little sandwich! Love stopping by for breakfast and the staff are always courteous and fast. Never have to wait too long and the food is always fresh. The breakfast sandwich or burritos are a great value and definitely filling! They also have bottled and canned beverages like energy drinks as well as chips/candy to pick up while you're there. It's easy access for a quick bite to eat during lunch or picking up a to go order to take back to the office. Plenty of parking. read more

I must admit I love sandwiches! Nom, Nom. This deli provides hot & cold sandwiches/wraps, salads & box lunches and catering trays. They use Boar's Head for the meat, so it's going to be pretty good if all the other ingredients are good, which they do. They have a small variety of breads and wraps to choose from. I opted for the the Spicy Lonestar in a tomato wrap. I can't remember all the meats in it. But I added light ranch, heavy mayo, spinach, olives and pickles. Holy heavens! It was sooo good. They're very affordable and my customer service was amazing. Check out a video I posted to see one of the sandwich makers having some fun with me. The customer service was phenomenal! This place was easy to find, just off Beltline on Gateway, easily visible from Gateway at a stop sign intersection. Getting here on a lunch hour was easily a breeze. Food was good... not great, but good. There wasn't really anything to elevate it to the next level, to be perfectly honest. Restaurant was clean and homey and the touches of handwritten menu and signage made it feel cozy and well loved by the owners. Three stars because service was a bit slow at 1:30 and there was no line at the counter so there wasn't really a reason for them to be slow an hour before they close. Also there's no avocado available. My favorite wrap of all time is a turkey avocado, and I can't get that here. However, as I said, what they DO have is good, and very reasonably priced. A wrap, a drink, and chips came in around $10! I'd go back if I had a hankering for a wrap that isn't a turkey avocado wrap. Worth noting-- chicken fajita wrap is a bit on the spicy side. First time...last time! Order was called in and picked up with other orders from our office. They sent regular mustard for my salad instead of honey mustard. Went back to get honey mustard and they explained that lady was new and did not know the difference. (Who does not know this???) They replaced it for me and when I put it on my salad it was SPICY honey mustard. Way too spicy for me. Done. Salad ruined. Too mad to deal with them again. Inconspicuously tucked away amongst the brick buildings of a business park at Gateway and Beltline, Sara's Deli is a great little basic sandwich shop. They carry a broad selection of Boar's Head meats and cheeses that can be arranged sub-style, on a wrap, or on your basic variety sandwich breads. You can choose to build your own or pick one of their many pre-designed combos. They even have grilled sandwiches to choose from or you can get a salad if you're kicking the carbs. Sides include fresh made soups, cold salads (potato, etc.), and a variety of Lays & Zapp's (mmmmm... Louisianna style!) chips. Combos including sandwich, salad and/or side are available for 7 or 8 bucks and there are daily specials too. On Fridays, for example, you get free soup with your sandwich. I'm a sucker for soup, so this got my attention right away. Being in an indecisive mood, I went with a pre-designed sandwich, the Spicy Lonestar. I mean, how can you go wrong with a name like that? The system is a lot like a Subway: you tell them the carb and meat/cheese combo you want and then they put the veggies and dressings on as you direct them. I ordered the 8" wrap and the woman rolling it could barely roll it up around the ample fillings. But she did-- and it didn't even start to unfurl as I worked my way through its deliciousness. Screw Subway- this gal was a *true* sandwich artist! Clientelle seemed to be mainly employees from the numerous surrounding Las Colinas business parks (I was there with my hubby, who works across the street). Service was fast, location convenient, and the price is cheaper than the chain sub shops. I'll definitely be keeping Sara's in mind the next time I need a sandwich for lunch! read more

This place is three stars: A-OK. Walking in my business attire I knew I was going to smell like bacon and eggs for the rest of the day. Nothing fancy, but for the price ($4.50 for the breakfast plate- eggs, toast, meat and a coffee) I can see why people would like this place. I did ask for my eggs to be cooked a little longer until it was not runny and the lady nodded in agreement. My eggs were so raw that a skilled Veterinarian would probably have been able to bring it back to life. read more

They usually have a special of the day but you can order anything you like. Today I had the roast beef, turkey and ham on wheat with tomatoes, spinach with a little mayo, mustard and oregano. This hidden gem off Gateway really is a great place. I ate there a few times before I made this review because I wanted to give the breakfast and lunch both a try before I did. The breakfast is a great value, you get a huge plate of food (bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, and coffee) So it's a hearty start to the day. The only con is that the eggs and hash browns aren't seasoned at all so make sure to grab salt and pepper or hot sauce. The toast isn't buttered either so ask for it when you order. The lunch is amazing. The meats are top quality and the veggies are always fresh. There's a large variety of dressings to choose from also. You can get your sandwich on a bun, wrap, or without bread if that's your thing. There's a better selection of chips that some gas stations and their fridge has energy drinks and extra soda selections if you don't like what's at the fountain. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and there is a daily lunch special. One thing to keep an eye out for, one of my coworkers said he was given a pretty significant upcharge for adding extra meat to his sandwich but I haven't ever needed to. All in all, great little place for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area! read more

I tried Sarah's Deli for the first time, yesterday. It's conveniently located amidst several business offices in northwest Irving, making it an ideal breakfast and lunch location. In fact, they close by 2:30 p.m. I found the restaurant to be clean, well lit and the staff very welcoming and attentive. The prices seemed extremely reasonable. I ordered a grilled ham & cheese combo. Although I saw signs offering various types of bread and wraps, they did not ask my preference. Since I forgot to request wheat bread, I was given white bread, which must be the default choice. By the time I'd finished paying, selecting my chips and getting my drink (bottled/fountain drinks and teas available,) my sandwich was hot and ready. It tasted great! The place will have smell like bacon all day ! The service is poor and the food rarely cooked as you wish. My first time there, I noticed that my receipt had different items on it. I inquired and was told that it was the easiest way to ring it up. I reluctantly went back a few days later because of the proximity to my office and I ordered a breakfast burrito. Sara's Deli is a great little hidden gem in this part of town. It's tucked in an office park so it's easy to miss, but I highly recommend it. It's also a great option to get away from the gridlock by 114 and MacArthur. I ordered a turkey pastrami sandwich on a wheat roll. The guy behind the counter actually took the pastrami from the cooler and sliced the meat specifically for my sandwich so I know it was fresh. The roll was nice and soft. And I liked being able to specify exactly what I wanted on my sandwich. My husband had a turkey and swiss wrap and he thought the wrap was excellent. All in all, we paid less than $20 for two sandwiches, a soda, and a bag of chips - not too bad. The only reason I'm not giving all 5 stars is that the ambiance is lacking a little. It's clean with plenty of seating, but it's just the bare necessities. read more

Anyone who puts mayo and mustard on top of the pile of vegetables (rather than on the bread) has clearly never eaten a sandwich in their life. First, it all falls off. Second, it gets all over your face as it's falling off. And if you don't say light on the mayo/mustard, they will literally drown your sandwich in it. Boar's Head meat is a plus, and it's close to the office, but I still prefer to drive down the road to Subz N Stuff. read more
