Paid a little over $20 because I ordered a mongo refresher also. Bowl cane out pretty quickly and it was a pretty good portion. It was a little spicy but not much just enough for some flavor. I had no idea this place existed. Happened to be in the Irving area and wanted a gyro and found this place on Google. They have a lot of options to choose from. I decided on a gyro bowl but the burgers herelook fantastic so I will be back for that. I built my own gyro bowl and even added fries to it. I was excited to see that New York Eats had a location in Irving near me because I used to go to the one in North Dallas all the time before it closed. Really solid flavors and great food. I ordered the gyro/chicken combo wrap and garlic fries. Flavor was 10/10 on everything, my order was correct, everything was fresh, etc. my only slight qualm was that the pita was kind of saturated in sauce and it was really messy to eat. Their sauces are delicious- I just will probably request on the side moving forward- but highly recommend checking them out. read more

Stopped in for a weekday lunch on Thursday. The restaurant wasn't busy, but several tables needed cleaning. Only one staff member was handling both the register and the kitchen. I ordered the Soho Spicy burger at medium heat, as recommended by the cashier, along with fries and a drink. The burger had good flavor, though the sauce started dripping after just a couple of bites. I was glad I followed the recommendation--medium had a noticeable kick, and I think the spicy option would have been too much for me. New York Eats in Irving, TX makes the best hamburgers I have ever tasted, hands down!!! They pay a lot of attention to detail, and the quality of the meat is top notch. Even the bun tastes homemade. I can't believe the prices are so reasonable for something so well made. I don't eat a lot of meat and am very picky about meat in general, so, I am so happy to have found this place for the occasional hamburger. Very solid meal whenever I crave chicken over rice. The meat is always cooked well and tastes fresh. The seasoning on all their items is always on point. The rice is also cooked the perfect amount without being too hard or soft. I like to get extra white sauce and red sauce on the side so that I can add more if needed. Their falafels are also pretty good and have a great crunch wherever I get them. The rice bowls are also great to reheat for leftovers! Would definitely recommend! read more

Ordered Manhattan Mix Plate which you get with Gyro and Jackson Heights (tandoori chicken pieces with French fries). The price is right 10. No complaints on that, they nailed it right. The lady at the cash register was polite. She delivered the food to our tables. The food itself was ok IMO cos the "seasoned' rice they added was a bit dry and tough to chew/swallow. We came here today for lunch, it is the 2nd location. It is pretty new - maybe only a month old, even so I had to set them up on Yelp since they were not listed. Hopefully this review is only 3 stars because they are still working out the kinks, but I suspect this place is NOT going to be raved about We ordered the gyro sandwich and an order of "seasoned french fries" (seasoned apparently means "over-salted"), I did ask for the French Fries to be crispy, they were not cooked that way, and pretty flaccid. The gyro comes with only 3 veggies - you can choose them, I asked for tomatoes, olives and pickles, I didn't see any tomatoes, and why you wanna charge me for extra money for more than 3 veggies on that sandwich? -- even Subway doesn't do that. The gyro meat was a weird cut too, little chunks, I like the more traditional long slices. We picked a booth to sit in and it was not cleaned off - a big splotch of nearly dried ketchup. As I was cleaning it off - the lady came by and offered to do it. (too late). And they will bring you the sauces to your table, but the white sauce is too thick to get through the spout, the red sauce spout had been manually cut down a bit, they need to do that for the white sauce too. Also they have been open a month and the have a big display of fountain sodas, but NOPE, out of order. That has got to be pretty easy to get functioning. There were a lot of misses for me here --for my money, i vastly prefer Nick the Greek (in front of TJ Maxx). read more

I ordered HELL'S KITCHEN Chicken comes seasoned rice and made Extra Extra Extra Spicy. Topped with Fries, and light white sauce, lettuce and olives. I also added the red sauce. It was about 10pm on Saturday when I came. You can either order at the counter or use the self order. I like the self order very easy to use. If you're looking for a great little restaurant that will give you a taste of the NYC street food then you've come to the right place. The prices are very fair and the food was really good! Good portions sizes as well. The owners are very sweet and go out of their way to help you and provide great customer service. They definitely want to make sure you had a good experience. The ambiance is pretty chill and gives off some NYC vibes but way cleaner than NYC haha. All in all I'd definitely recommend family, friends, visitors and the likes to come and eat here. The Jackson Heights platter comes with fries on top, which I loved! I also added cucumbers and olives to mine. The portion size was good too. Overall, I enjoyed my meal! However, my husband did not enjoy his meal as much. He felt as though the rice was old and that the dish lacked flavor. He selected the medium spicy option but it barely had any spice. this ishands down my favorite place to eat at in Irving. I could eat here every day for the rest of my life. The Gyro wrap, Manhattan mixed platter and burgers are all my favorites. They don't skimp on the meat and the Gyro is cut into nice chunks not minced like other Halal cart places. The meat when asked for it to be spicy is flavored while cooking so it's super tasty and everything is seasoned great. The only improvement I would say and not even enough for me to takeoff a star or half a star is I wish that the fries were more crispy. read more
