    Fattoush Salad with chicken kabobs
    Elizabeth A. H.

The food was very good and fresh. I would come here again. The atmosphere is casual and very welcoming. Order at the counter, pay at the end, and no tipping. The gyro meat was different than I have had before smaller and thinner but still tasty. Chicken kabob meat was a little dry. The only down side was when we ordered and my husband stated he had a tomato allergy they did not make us aware if any appetizers we ordered were tomato free. The appetizers that could have easily been accommodated to our needs were not. My husband's meal was served perfectly. We will be more clear in the future. Aside from the allergy issue the food was very good and the service felt like family.

Stopped in for dinner and left a friend of the owner. He was great and we chatted for my whole meal. Another Dallas spot that's hidden in the corner of a strip mall. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about and it's connected to a market. I went with the baba ganoush and chicken shawarma bowl. The portions were large and fair for the price paid. They gladly offered to bring out more pita bread for my baba ganoush appetizer which was appreciated. I wish they had soda in the cool instead of just waters and something else I didn't recognize. Overall, I would definitely come back. The friendly service and quality food were just what I was looking for.

Hummus With Meat and this coke was good!

Cool spot attached to a market. The food was flavorful and the staff was very friendly. Hummus with meat was excellent, but maybe another spoon more for portion would've been perfect. Chicken was great in flavor but the shawarma itself also was a little skinny compared to others, but still flavorful especially with the white and chili sauce. Everything was priced right and service was excellent. Can also check out the market next door as they have a great selection of imported items. Highly recommend for your Mediterranean fix!

I love a good Mediterranean lunch. All the deliciousness with less of the guilt. This place is attached to a Mediterranean grocer under the shadow of the DART tracks, a bit of an offbeat location that I hope finds its audience. We ordered a kofta platter to share, with hummus and salad. It comes with warm bread, possibly made in house, along with a garlic sauce and a hot sauce. The kofta was super tender and flavorful, and I would absolutely order it again, although I am tempted to try the gyro next time. The bread was amazing. The service was great and they made sure we were happy, even offering us more bread. Yum. The platter was about seventeen dollars and perfect to split for two. I will definitely be back.

I never leave reviews, but I was impressed enough with the attentive, warm service, lively and inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and well-portioned (and priced) meal that I felt compelled to leave a note of support. Ordered the chicken shawarma bowl and it was hearty, filling, and perfectly seasoned. It came with a salad, freshly baked pita, and clearly very fresh toum + red sauce. 10/10, no notes. Will be returning, and I live 25 minutes away as a busy med student.

The owner is also the chef and serves the food. He has pride in his food and really should because it's great! Fresh ingredients, great flavors, the sauces were excellent. The gyro wrap was really interesting, a little cinnamony with a delicious thin wrap from a local bakery and not a ridiculously large thing like gyros often tend to be. Not what I'm used to but absolutely loved it and recommend it. His baba ghanouj is smoky and flavorful. The hummus was great. The olive oil drizzle has a great flavor. His wife makes the baclava and it is outrageously tasty. He serves it warmed up as a plus. Service was quick. Attached grocery store that he also owns. We have found our post-airport dinner place!

Stopped by here for lunch on a whim and really enjoyed it. Everything was delicious! I'll be back soon.

Even though the playground is usually his favorite spot, he didn't hesitate & insisted we go to Kafi for the brisket. That pretty much sums up how my family feels about this place. We've tried plenty of BBQ spots around Texas, but Kafi keeps bringing us back. The brisket is consistently excellent, and you can tell they use the highest-quality ingredients because the flavor really speaks for itself. Everything on the menu is done well, from the Wagyu and sausage to the burnt ends. It's become one of those rare places that the whole family gets excited about, and that's not something I can say about many restaurants

I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.

With that being said, I ordered the cheeseburger basket, and the fries were good, but that had to be one of the worst cheeseburgers I've ever eaten in my life. Salt N Pepper is a good one in that it has good selection (see pics of menu), reasonable prices (especially for the mall), super friendly service, and good food. We've eaten here twice. I almost gave this place 5 stars based on the above, but... there are better eateries at superior malls, so... we'll call it 4. But it's a good place and I'd take it over the Sonic next door ANY day. Food is made to order, which is nice - but you have to wait a sec, as is the case when your food is made to order! :) Get some tots! I love Sonic tots, but I'd take these any day. I prefer the regular tots; the cheesy tots come with nacho cheese on top (not my thing), vs "real" cheese. But those regular tots... yum. Crispy and perfect. Enjoy!
